I'm cracking up imagining a Greta with lip implants and dewy lipstick.

That I don't need to see...but Laurie Dhue....Oh My!

I guess what I wrote was pure emotion -- no logical reasoning at all -- or is that if you don't agree, it must be emotion? Seems like your a little authoritarian.

CNN has just improved by leaps and bounds.

Yo be-baw. I must have been under a rock yesterday. Ailes is either dumb like a fox or dumb as rocks; I truly don't know which it is. To be a fly on the wall when they have their "strategery" sessions. Are we being sold out for a larger cause?

Two(actually more) problems with leftists on the tube:

    1. GARBAGE IN! They are "Utopians". As such, they are out of touch with reality. Their thought processes have to go through so many convoluted and useless iterations, that by the time information gets where it needs to be, it no longer resembles the original input. It has been filtered, flaxed(2: the fiber of the flax plant especially when prepared for spinning), and farkled til it fits their skewed(2: to distort especially from a true value...) vision of the world, or maybe more accurate, how their world should be. Reminds me of an old Coke commercial: I'd like to teach the world to sing....... you remember.

    2. GARBAGE OUT! See #1.

Is FOX trying to lose it's edge and it's audience??? Why Greta, he just spouts liberal mantra, and she is not pleasent to look at? I don't get it.

Are we being sold out for a larger cause?

I'm speculating two things are going on here:

1)Ailes is obsessed with CNN and passing them in viewership. Since van Susteren has (reportedly) the second highest ratings among CNN's shows, he thinks that luring her away will be a minus for CNN, if not a plus for FNC. I believe, however, that he's taking a big risk because (as can be seen on FR) he's alienating a goodly number of Fox's strongest supporters with his signing up liberal grandstanders like Ms. Rivera and Mr. Susteren.

2) He's trying to get even with CNN for luring away Paula Zahn.

Geraldo has already significantly damaged Fox's credibility with his 'confused' friendly fire reporting. Ailes cannot afford another blunder like that. Let's face it, the rest of the media are out to get Fox, and ANY mistake or sloppiness in reporting will be magnified by Ailes' competitors in both broadcast in print media.

Are we being sold out for a larger smaller cause? Now, that's better!

Regarding your two points re: Ailes: I'm hoping he has a larger vision than just trying to knock the snot out of CNN(although a worthy cause).

...he's taking a big risk because (as can be seen on FR) he's alienating a goodly number of Fox's strongest supporters...

True, but where else are we going to turn for our teevee news? How many of us will actually switch news channels because of this? Fox may be sliding to the left, but they're still the best we've got on the tube. Besides, taking risks is why he makes the big bucks?????????

Let's face it, the rest of the media are out to get Fox, and ANY mistake or sloppiness in reporting will be magnified...

Too true. But as long as they don't make any major blunders, each time Fox gets their name on the "Big Three" evening shows it's free advertising. FoxNews in the news!

I wondering what hand Rupert Murdoch may be playing in all this? Does he really allow Ailes to run FoxNews, or is he a "hands on" type of owner? I wonder how Fox's ad revenues compare with, say, CNN's or MSNBC's? Maybe Murdoch wants THEIR advertisers as well, as Fox's mostly conservative viewers are not prime candidates for "touchy-feely" ads? And why don't we(I) know the answers to these questions? Pi$$es my off!

Onward through the fog, be-baw.

I'm still 2+ weeks away from having the FNC option, but I expect I'll still flip around among the 3 cable news networks. As the risk of having you smack me for saying it, there are times when I find either MSNBC or CNN pretty darned good. An example: on MSNBC this afternoon, while Daschle was putting air to the big lie, MSNBC interrupted him (fairly early on during his speech) and put on Charles Grassley for his comments on Puff's speech. Grassley, of course pointed out how Daschle and other lib Senators are seeking the presidential nomination, etc. Amazingly, even though Daschle was still spewing, MSNBC didn't go back to him after finishing the Grassley interview.

Also, MSNBC's military analysts have been top notch, for the most part.

ANYTHING but CNN. As I noted in a post to calypgin a couple 'o months back; MSNBC has excellent coverage of events, and I also spend some time there; especially when I'm trying to dodge commercials, etc. CNN? No way!

CNN? No way!

Just today, I got an unhealthy dose of Judy Woodruff, Ceci Connelly, Jeff Greenfield, and some democrat shill from the Wall St. Journal...discussing the recession and Daschle's attack...you're right--CNN--No way!! Thanks for the reality check.

This is not what I call "fair and balanced". If they keep bringing the enemy over, we just might start thinking that Fox is the enemy. Wonder what Fox's real agenda is?

I wish that I knew their agenda, but I know my new one. I now watch other tv shows besides FNC. The hiring of Geraldo and spin doctoring his lies, did it for me.

You maybe right, but I think Fox is getting greedy, they think that they own the conservatives now, and wants a piece of the liberal action. This is a big mistake for Fox, in grabing all, they will lose all. Watch Fox's rating go down the tubes.

I believe you are correct. It just seems that conservatives buy into the 'ownership' thing....that is, for instance, like the Repuglican Party saying, 'you'll be back...where else are you going to go' as they offer you up another candidate that is weak as 2% milk, one that can't be bothered to even read what the party faithful want out of government, who run on the basis of 'it's my turn' rather than for the good of the Nation.

And you see time after time how conservatives meekly bow their head down like an abused wife and 'just take the crap' being heaped on them.

It is sad.

I have no idea...my subscription to FNN expired Christmas Eve...I had quit watching before then, though...the last time I watched was when O'Reilly held the big interview with the Whore and the Whore gave the bla bla story about how he regained his patriotism. O'Reily mentioned many held it against him for his handling of Clinton crap....and he said he has no regrets and would handle it the same again.....'reformed' my arse! As I said then, they don't change their stripes or spots overnight!

There was a thread about it here at FR...you could probably type a combination of Greta + CNN + FOX and pull up something in the search engine.
