You guys gotta look at this CNN to FOXNews phenom differently.

FOXNews is well on the way to destroying CNN, but they've got a ways to go. CNN has been the only game in town for so long, many otherwise intelligent people still aren't aware of FOXNews. I think it's way clever of FOXNews to steal away the CNN stable. Fans of Greta will follow her to FOXNews, become introduced to FOXNews, and WAA LAH baby, they see "fair and balanced" for the first time, get hooked, and before you know it, whole herds of sheep break free from the liberal mindset.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Well, there is an analogy here (I think). Look at it in terms of the market share bell curve of a new product. To begin with, FOXNEWS started out in a cable news market dominated by the liberal networks of CNN and MCNBC. So, to carve out their niche, they went for the opposite approach- a more conservative one. They established a loyal viewer base, attracted higher ratings, increased market share, and thus, became the number one cable news network on air.

But now, their product isn't so new anymore. Yet, to stay number one, they need to attract new viewers- viewers from competiting networks. And how do they do that? Throw in a few token liberals like Rivera and Greta. It makes them appear more 'balanced'- a term they coined to begin with. And for two liberals who love to argue, what better place than a news network with a conservative base.

Probably because Fox is in a business of attracting viewers and Greta apparently attracts viewers. Why should it matter is Fox continues to present the news in an objective fashion?
