Bullet riddled body of Israeli man found in car

The body of an Israeli man has been found in a bullet-riddled car in the West Bank.

Palestinian security officials say the body was found in Beit Sahour.

Initial reports say the man, who also carried a foreign passport, had been kidnapped by gunmen.

Earlier, the two largest Palestinian militant factions said they will stick to a truce with Israel despite their accusations that Israel assassinated a West Bank militia leader.

Supporters of Raed Karmi took revenge just hours after his death killing an Israeli soldier and wounding an officer who had left their armoured personnel carrier to question two Palestinians at a checkpoint.

Israel did not confirm or deny involvement in the killing of Karmi, 27, leader of the Al Aqsa Brigades in the West Bank town of Tulkarem.

Karmi had boasted of killing two Tel Aviv restaurant owners and was accused by Israel of having killed a total of nine Israelis. He survived an Israeli missile attack on his car in September.

Karmi's funeral procession wound through the streets of Tulkarem, with mourners carrying his body, wrapped in a Palestinian flag.

Militiamen shot in the air, and one shouted "settlers, beware."

The latest violence undermined US truce efforts, and it is not clear whether Washington mediator Anthony Zinni will return to the region later this week as planned.

...Phil Reeves and Robert Fisk, the avowed anti-USA anti-West Leftist types..

Robert Fisk called Bush a 'second rate executioner'. Once again, how do Phil Reeves and Robert Fisk, the avowed anti-USA anti-West Leftist types fit into your Conservative agenda?

You also claimed Bush has (so-called) 'many neo-cons' in his cabinet.

Name them please.

This report just out:
ARABS LYNCH ELDERLY JEWISH MAN
A 70-year-old Israeli man was lynched in Bethlehem today. His body was found with signs of severe and brutal violence in a soccer field in PLO-controlled Beit Sachur. The man also held American citizenship. PLO naval police, who man a nearby roadblock, were eyewitnesses to the lynch but did nothing.

The victim entered Bethlehem with an Arab acquaintance, who apparently reported the lynch to Israel security forces. Lieut.-Col Sharon Levy, commander of the Bethlehem District Coordinating Office, told Israel Radio that when they received reports of an Israeli in distress, they checked with the PLO police who denied that any such incident was taking place. Levy indicated that he relied upon the PLO report and subsequently "lost connection with the unfolding incident." When he discovered that they had lied to him, it was too late. Levy said, "We have strong complaints against the Palestinians that the police there did not protect the man, did not report the incident to us, and then lied about it."

Officers who saw the body are saying that the victim was badly beaten and shot many times. Not all of the details have become clear; an investigation is underway. For more news as it unfolds, see the Latest News section on Israel National News.

------------

Perhaps some of the pro palestinian posters here might want to visit Bethlehem, once it was a tourist trap, but now that it has been given to the Palestinians for peace, tourist TRAP has a whole new meaning.

Good thing you can't go back and alter this thread, much as you'd no doubt love to.

She'd no doubt like to get rid of the part where she so coyly acted ignorant about her friend David Horowitz's past as a long-time Communist and Black Panther even though he has admitted it many times, including writing a whole book about it. LOL

It's been over an hour since you claimed Bush's cabinet had 'lots' of 'neo-cons' in it.

How long does it take you to back up your claims? (-:

I never said David was not a former Leftie.

I said he did not spend 'half his life trying to undermine the US government' a truly dopey thing to say.

Notice the Fatah, which is Arafat's faction of the Palestinians, has been bolder in claiming responsibility for these terrorist acts. Is there any more reason to give Arafat the time of day?
