Ethiopia was a huge region. There in Central America are the mysterious stone heads long before Christianity. Some think they were African, probably Ethiopian. Certainly not an empire, not in the sense of Alexander or Rome. A Semitic language, one of the early languages of the Christians. They had military power, but rarely used it and only in self-dense. Some say they had the ark and used it in war, which is how they could stop Euro invaders.

Perhaps the Ark is embedded within the monument, and the Vatican does not want to return it.
