To: A Navy Vet
I watched the special the other night on the West Wing with Tom Brokaw. I can't remember what Brokaw was talking about, but the phrase "everyone hates us and the US" rolled right off his tongue. I remember thinking, no, everyone does NOT hate the US. It is the few elite and media that hates the US. Most of the rest of the earth's population would give anything to live in the United States and enjoy the freedom that we have and the prosperity that we have.

You are right UG. Additionally, I would point out that Koppel, et al. are culturally unable to question the validity of the anti-American views. For example, with the Arabs, their motivations, their prejudices, their hatreds and likes, their information or lack thereof, there mentalities is never weighed. Instead the view, if anti-American, is treated with unquestioning respect. Its a form of liberal victimology.
