Dozens and dozens of anti Bush threads about his purported love of illegal aliens from Mexico.

I've just started, would you like me to go on.

Do you feel that Bush's immigration policies and the numerous trial balloons being floated by the White House which seem to indicate an inclination to amnesty and Surrender on illegals is beyond the pale of conversation?

I'm for conservative candidates, and I voted for President Bush and his father.

But I'm also for conservative principles, and have voted for California's Proposition #187. Republicans lke Dubya, Jack Kemp, and Bill Bennett were in opposition. When conservative candidates incline against conservative principles, what should be the response of Freepers?

I did not like it either Saber. That was pre-911 and the political reality was not to round them up and deport but to try to mitigate the situation. Those ideas have thankfully been shelved. But my complaints were made to my reps. and the white house. I did not air them much on FR unless asked directly or in defending my patriotism after being called a disrupter, Bushie, Socialist or some such thing.

Just because a person is a supporter of the Preident doesn't mean you have to think he's right 100% of the time. On the Presidents amnesty proposal I'd support it IF I thought it would solve the problem. We tried it before and here we are still are 20 yrs later still talking about it. As I said before the answer is helping Mexico and other countrys improve their ecomonies so people won't want to sneek across our border.
