Why we shouldn't have run Mike Marland's cartoon

A whiny, self-justifying column from the paper's editor. I still don't think he quite gets it.

He obviously does NOT get it. What a shmuck! Many of us in NH lost friends and family - it's a small population here, and I attended 4 funerals (here and in MA) because of that tragedy. In addition, ALL of us lost fellow Americans and human beings. When my husband and I drove past NYC last week, we both were silent, and not a few tears were wiped away, looking where the twin towers used to be.

So, for the editor of that nasty rag: half-assed apology not accepted, old stick. As far as I'm concerned, your newspaper and its editors, and its freelance cartoonist, can STILL go to hell.
