Well, I am an artist and I'm not there yet. What a stupid dodge. Artistic license to be cruel and tasteless. I don't think so. Being an artist doesn't mean you can do anything you want and be excused because you are "provacative." That assumes that the artist is always right by definition since it is a statement we all need to hear. Sometimes the self absorbed need an intervention to help them come to terms with their place in society. I think he just got his "intervention." LOL.

Don't misunderstand me. I have a nephew who's an artist and the polar opposite of this cartoonist.
I wasn't bashing artists, just the editor's attempt to hide behind "art."
