Below are some more Homosexual myths, whereever possible I have tried to include secular sources so don't try the "All that is just Christian Homophobic propaganda" Ploy. It won't work.

Myth: Homosexuals Live Long Lives.

Fact: As early as 1858, G. Tardieu reported on the age distribution of males imprisoned in France for sodomy. Of the 216 whose ages were given, with the age range from under 15 to 69, there was a median age of under 25. Futhermore, if you eliminated all under 18, the median age rises to almost 40.

In 1914, M. Hirschfeld reported on German males convicted of involvement in sodomy. The age distribution ranged from under 15 to over 50, with the median of 24 years. Since "over 50" was the last category, we cannot determine just how many, if any, attained the age of 65. But only 9 % were over 50.

In the late 1930s and 1940s, Kinsey and his investigators spent more than 12 years seeking out and interviewing homosexuals. Because Kinsey and his colleagues were regarded as sexual liberators, homosexuals were eager to volunteer for his study. There is no reason to believe that his sample was not representative of all age groups available. Yet fewer than 1% of his homosexuals, male as well as female, were over the age of 65.

The Mattachine Society, the earliest of the "gay rights" organizations, gathered together a representative group of homosexuals for Evelyn Hooker to study in her highly influential 1950s study. The oldest of the 30 subjects was 50, the next oldest was 44, and the median age was 33.

In the early 1960s, Berger attempted to draw a sampling of elderly homosexuals, but had to begin his scale at 40 years and only 34 of 112 were over the age of 59.

From 1969 through 1970, the Kinsey Institute surveyed homosexuals in San Francisco. Although they recruited respondents in eight different catagories, only 23% of male homosexuals and only 18% of lesbians were over the age of 45, despite the fact that the investigators tried for 25% from this age group. Their initial decision to draw only a quarter of their sampling from homosexuals over 45 indicates they already knew the problem existed, and they ended up omitting figures on age distribution from their report.

In 1977, the largest survey of homosexuals reported 0.2% of lesbians and 0.8% of homosexual males were age 65 or older.

The Spada Report: The Newest Survey of Gay Male Sexuality, in 1978, reported the median age was 30, with only 2.5% over age 65. J. Spada was openly homosexual and polled 1,022 male homosexuals by mail.

An openly lesbian M. Mendola, in 1979, polled 405 homosexuals by mail. The median age of those polled was 34, and only 10% were 50 or over. Source: The Mendola Report: A New Look at Gay Couples.

From the mid 1970s' to the early 1980s, interest in Gay Bowel Syndrome, sexually transmitted diseases, and hepatitis B generated a number of samples of the homosexual population.

- From 1977 through 1979, 102 homosexuals case histories were collected in Seattle and the oldest was 58.

- In 1979, 101 homosexuals who belonged to a group restricted to those over 40 was reported, and only 21 were over age 65.

- Also in 1979, 5,324 homosexual visitors to Denver's STD clinic had a median age of 27, a mean age of 28.5 and the oldest was 67.

- In 1982, only one of 103 homosexuals examined in San Francisco was over the age of 65.

In 1994, an obituary study revealed that the median age of death for homosexual males was 42 and for lesbians was 49. Source: Cameron, Playfair, Wellum, " The Longevity of Homosexuals: Before and After the AIDS Epidemic, " Omega Journal of Death and Dying," 1994.

Pedro Zamora, 22, a well-known AIDS educator and a cast member of "The Real World" on MTV, died of complications from AIDS today at Mercy Hospital in Miami. Partly because he was among few young people speaking out about AIDS, partly because of his heart throb looks and easy manner, Zamora became one of the most sought-after speakers on the disease after he tested positive for HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, in 1989 at the age of 17. He took his prevention message into American living rooms as a young gay man with HIV on "The Real World." He would tell students that he got the virus through unprotected sex and that he would probably not live to reach 30. Before a television appearance in New York last August, Zamora fell ill with a neurological disorder, progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy, which causes rapid deterioration. He had been hospitalized since October 14th. Source: Mireya Navarro, "Life of 22 years ends, but not before many heard message on AIDS, The New York Times; November 12, 1994.

AIDS became the leading cause of death among men from 25 to 44 in 1992 (in the U.S.). More than 250,000 people have died from AIDS or AIDS-related causes. About 75% of cases have been reported in the 25-44 age group. AIDS is also the leading cause of death in men and women in 79 of 169 American cities with population greater than 100,000. In the northeastern United States, where the rate of infection is higher among intravenous drug users than it is among gay men, the incidence of AIDS continues to rise. Although the AIDS epidemic seems to have stabilized among gay men in some areas of the country, there is evidence of a future second wave in that group, Dr. Jaffe said. He cited recent studies in San Francisco, Denver and Chicago showing an incidence of 2 to 3 % a year for new infections in gay men, a high number. Source: Lawrence K. Altman, " AIDS is now the leading killer of Americans from 25 to 44," The New York Times; January 31, 1995.

Nick Mattsson, as a gay man in his late 20's, has never really known love or dating outside the shadow of AIDS and, though he knew few sick people, he associated being gay with getting AIDS and dying young. In San Francisco, two gay newspapers refused for a while to carry ads for HIV-negative groups, and in New York, there is much eye-rolling, if not outright hostility. "My lover was like: 'What are you going to talk about,'" said one participant whose partner is HIV-positive. "Long-term retirement plans? 401(K)'s?" Despite optimism over available treatments, there will be no cure anytime soon. And with evidence that infection rates are rising among young men, the focus can no longer be solely on people with HIV. There is only one way, the thinking goes, to prevent another generation of gay men from dying. Troy Masters, the publisher of LGNY, a biweekly lesbian and gay newspaper in New York, who is HIV-positive, said "It (is) cool to be HIV-positive and it shouldn't be." Some will live, and others will die long before their time, and that the worries of men who do not have HIV are valid. Some of the (gay) men (coming into clinics or support groups) came in because they had a drug or alcohol problem, others because they were having unsafe sex, others because they just needed to talk about their lives as gay men and could not afford therapy. Mattsson joined a group because he recognized that the sex he was having was unsafe and "out of control." Marc Davis, an equities analyst who is 29, joined (a group) largely because he was having an escalating problem with cocaine. Ben Stilp, 26, the communications director for the Lesbian and Gay Community Services Center, said he joined a group as a result of two strains in his life: a problem with drugs and, for the first time, meeting men who were infected. One, who became a good friend, was only 30. "This was going to be a battle for my life. And I would have to change some fundamental things about my life," said Stilp. ... (At) its point of origin is Arenas, the writer who, though vilified in Fedel Castro's Cuba, found international renown before dying of AIDS at 47 in New York in 1990... a library job enables Arenas to discover a world of books even as, sexually, he is discovering men... out of the prevailing sexual hypocristy, with (Cuban) soldiers engaging freely in homosexual encounters even as, officially, they must be seen to stamp them out... an amnesty granted in 1980 to homsexuals... allows Arenas to leave his homeland for the United States. Conclusion:

Study after study reveals that homosexuality, whether male or female, can take anywhere from 10, 20 to 30 years off of someone's lifespan.

Myth: Homosexuals are Born that way.

Fact: " During a certain period (usually shortly before adolescence and in early adolescence) children prefer members of their own sex. Boys look down on girls, have male heroes, and enjoy being together, while girls 'detest' boys, have crushes on girls, and love some 'best friend' intensely. With the coming of sexual maturity, their sexual drives are, not always without conflict, directed towards members of the opposite sex. During this difficult period, unfortunate experiences may have a devastating effect on certain young people, namely those who have emotional problems. These experiences, whether subtle or obvious, form a barrier on the road of normal sexual development. Homosexuality is a detour on that highway, and some people never find their way back to the main road, especially if their homosexuality has brought additional problems of guilt and fear to confuse them." According to Dr. Charles Socarides, Professor of Psychiatry at the Albert Einstien College of Medicine in New York, " I believe this theory (born that way) is completely erroneous. There's no possibility of somebody developing homosexuality from hereditary or organic causes. It's just impossible... a cluster of the brain cannot determine sexual object choice." The Kinsey Institute did a study in 1970 that reported that 84% of 665 gays and 29% of 335 heterosexual men shifted or changed their sexual orientation at least once; 60% of the homosexual men vs 10% of the heterosexual men reported a second sexual orientation shift; 32% of the gays vs 4% of the heterosexuals reported a third shift; and 13% of gays vs 1% of heterosexuals reported at least five changes. The finding for lesbians and heterosexual women were similar: 97% of the 227 lesbians vs 15% of the 136 heterosexual women reported one shift; 81% of the lesbians vs 2% of the heterosexual reported a second shift in sexual orientation; 52% of lesbians vs 1% of the heterosexual reported another shift; and 29% of the lesbians and none of the heterosexual women reported at least five changes of sexual orientation. "A parent confused over what is sexually appropriate is hardly able to provide helpful sexual guidance for a child. Influenced by various movements as it is pleasurable, and aware that as long as it is pleasurable, and, aware that the carefully structured society they grew up with is rapidly being chipped away, parents often feel helpless and cannot instill sexual values in their young because they themselves are so unsure of the boundaries." "The idea that people are born into one type of sexual behavior is entirely foolish, says Dr. John DeCecco, Psychology Professor at San Francisco State University and editor of the Journal of Homosexuality. Homosexuality, he says, is a behavior, not a condition, and something that some people can and do change, just like they sometimes change their other tastes and personality traits." "The campaign we outline...though complex, depends centrally upon a program of unabashed propaganda, firmly grounded in long-established principles of psychology and advertising. Homophobia... J. Micheal Bailey and Richard C. Pillard, two researches who made news in 1991 with a male twins study that found that about 50% of identical twins were homosexual. This was touted as evidence that there is a genetic link between homosexuality and someone's heredity in the family. ( CPR Note: only 50% of identical twins were both homosexual, not 100%.) Another highly publicized 1991 study was done by former Salk Institute researcher and homosexual Simon LeVay, who studied a cluster of neurons as INAH3 (the third interstitial hypothalamus) in the brains of 35 male cadavers. Contrasting 19 known homosexuals with 16 unknown or presumed heterosexual men, LaVay found that the homosexuals generally had smaller clusters. Keep in mind that the study consisted of an extremely small sample group and LeVay failed to identify a control group. Also, he did not actually know the orientation of the "heterosexual" cadavers; he assumed they were all heterosexual, even though 6 had died of AIDS. LeVay said this about his control group: "Two of these subjects (both AIDS patients) had denied homosexual activity. The records of the remaining 14 patients contained no information about their sexual orientation; they are assume to have been mostly or all heterosexual." (Hard science does not assume anything!) " For starters, I personally don't think I was 'born this way.' (In fact, when I'm feeling hostile, I've been known to tell right-wingers that I'm a successfully 'cured' hetero.) Until I was in my early 30s, I fell in love with men, took pleasure in sleeping with them, and even married one. But like most women, I experienced most of my closest emotional relationships with female friends. The only thing that made me different was that at some point I got curious about lesbian feminist claims that it was possible to combine that intense female intimacy with good sex. The good sex part turned out to be vastly easier than I anticipated. Even so, there was no immediate biological reason to stop having sex with men or to start living as a lesbian. Coming out was, for me, a conscious decision -- every step of the way... If there's anything we as feminists ought to be supporting, it's a frank, unapologetic celebration of sexual choice. I'm personally for the right of happy heterosexuals to 'experiment' with same-sex love and perhaps find that they like it. I'm for the right of bisexuals to opt for gay-relationships, even though they don't have the excuse that they have no other choice. And I'm for the right of gay people to choose to act on their sexuality, whether society approves of it or not." The San Francisco Chronicle ran an article in 1991 quoting LeVay: "Psychological literature is replete with material suggesting that male homoseuxality is triggered by relationships with an overly protective mother or with a distant, even hostile father. 'Here is a whole other way of looking at the question,' says LeVay. 'these children may already be determined to become homosexual or heterosexual. The development plan that is laid out for them may be what causes them to develop certain troubled relationships with their parents.'" In 1992, a study by Allen and Goriski shows a pattern of different sizes of the brain's anterior commissure between a group of heterosexual men and a group of women and homosexual men. But as William Brye and Bruce Parson's point out, this study has "many of the same interpretive difficulties as LeVay's." These include a "tremendous" number of exceptions, such as the fact that 27 of 30 homosexual men had anterior commissures that "fell within the range established by 30 heterosexual men." Source: L.S. Allen and R.A. Gorski, "Sexual Orientation and the size of the anterior commissure in the human brain," Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. 89 (1992): pp. 7199-7202, cited in Byne and Parsons, op. cit. p. 235.

Also in 1992, there was a study published in the British Journal of Psychiatry that tried to replicate the infamous Bailey and Pillard identical twins study released in 1991 (see above). The British study found only 10% (25% if bisexuality is included) of identical twins were both homosexual as compared to 52% of the Bailey and Pillard study. Where the Bailey and Pillard study found 22% for fraternal twins, the British study revealed 8% (12% with bisexuality) of homosexuality in fraternal twins. Obviously, the British study does not constitute a replication of the Bailey and Pillard study. Thus, without replication, the Bailey and Pillard study remains and hypothesis and nothing more than that. But, beyond that problem, the fact that the concordance rates are so similar for idential and fraternal twins (10% and 8%) further undermines the genetic hypothesis. Source: King., M., and E. McDonald, "Homosexuals Who Are Twins a Study of 46 Probands," British Journal of Psychiatry, 1992, vol. 160; pp. 407-409.

Newsweek in 1992 did an article critiquing the Bailey-Pillard Twins study. The biggest flaw is the interpretation of the researchers. Since about 50% of the identical twins were not homosexual, we can easily conclude that genetics does not play a major part in their sexual orientation. If it had, then 100% of the twins should be homosexual since identical twins have the same genetic makeup. We might just as easily interpret the findings to mean that environmental influences caused their homosexuality. Biologist Anne Fausto-Stirling of Brown University stated, "In order for such a study to be at all meaningful, you'd have to look at twins raised apart. It's such badly interpreted genetics." Dr. Bailey himself stated, " There must be something in the environment to yield the discordant twins." Also in this article was a comment by Dr. Kenneth Klivington on the LeVay study, assistant to the president of the Salk Institute in San Diego (the same Institute that LeVay researched his study), states " There is a body of evidence that shows the brain's neural networks reconfigure themselves in response to certain experiences. Therefore, the difference in homosexual brain structure may be a result of behavior and environmental conditions." Source: David Gelman et al., "Born or Bred?" Newsweek (24 February 1992), p.46.

" At this point, getting the majority to say 'gay is good' at 9 or 10 years old is going to be difficult, but just because it is difficult doesn't mean its not the right thing." " For many years I told people I was just born gay. It was the easy way to get people to accept us. If we were born gay that took away any personal responsibility for our behavior and made people feel sorry for us. All along though, we knew it was a convenient lie, but who could challenge it since it was our word against theirs. I love and respect myself today, but I hate the things that I used to do... Today I am living proof that homosexuals can and do change. I was as deep in the lifestyle as anyone. I spent 9 years in one relationship and even thought about getting 'married.' I was 100% 'gay,' now I am 100% recovered... They call it Gay, but I can't think of a more miserable way of life." " We believe that homosexuality is a developmental condition... We do not deny, however, that some children, by personality type or other inborn characteristics, may be more vulnerable to homosexuality than others. Neither do we deny that there is an element of free will in the development of homosexuality; not that a child chooses to be homosexual, but that the child chooses to respond to his or her less than perfect environment in ways that can lead to homosexuality." In 1993, geneticist Dean Hamer (a homosexual himself) of the National Cancer Institute released a study that claimed to have found a genetic component to some instances of male homosexuality. That is very different from saying that he found a gene that inevitably determines that a man will be homosexual. Hamer never claimed to have done that. He studied 40 pairs of brothers who were homosexual, and hypothesized that a certain genetic marker on the X (Xq28) chromosome was at least partially responsible for their homosexuality. Since men have an X and Y chromosome, and they inherit their X chromosome from their mothers, Hamer theorized that the mother may be the carrier of the gene determining homosexuality in theirs sons. It would not manifest in the mothers' lives, but they would pass that gene on to their sons. Source: D.H. Hamer, et al., "A linkage Between DNA Markers on the X Chromosome and Male Sexual Orientation," Science 261, (1993); pp. 321-327.

In the March 1993 edition of the Archives of General Psychiatry (AGP), Drs. William Byne and Bruce Parsons examined past and current claims and concluded that "there is no evidence at present to substantiate a biological theory. The appeal of current biologic explanations for sexual orientation may derive more from dissatisfaction with the present status of psychosocial explanations than from a substantiating body of experimental data. Critical review shows the evidence favoring a biologic theory to be lacking. In the alternative model, temperamental and personality traits interact with the familial and social milieu as the individual's sexuality emerges." Source: William Byne and Bruce Parsons, "Human Sexual Orientation: The Biologic Theories Reappraise," Archives of General Psychiatry 50 (March 1993): pp. 228-239.

Also in the same issue of AGP was another article by Bailey and Pillard (see 1991) which included a highly publicized study of lesbian twins. This study concludes once again that about half of the lesbians in the sample with identical twins had a twin who was lesbian. Thus, the authors surmise that lesbianism may have at least a partly genetic origin. Both of Bailey and Pillard's studies recruited twins through advertisements in partisan homosexual publications. Those, presumably, who identify with the aims and goals of the homosexual rights movement. Also, all the twins in the studies were raised in the same household. Research strongly indicates that environmental factors play a crucial role in gender-identity formation. The Bailey-Pillard studies of non-twin siblings showed a frequency rate of homosexual siblings similar to that of adoptive siblings with no shared genetic inheritance what so ever. Source: J. A New York Times/CBS News Poll on March 3, 1993 reported that a majority of those who believed that gays "cannot change" favored permitting homosexuals to serve in the military.

Dr. Hamer himself recognizes the limitations of his findings. In an interview with The Associated Press not only does the study fail to show that a single gene determines homosexual orientation, it also does not rule out a number of other possibilities. Hamer comments," Thers also could be another gene on some other chromosome. Or it could be that there was some other physical or biochemical factor involved. Or there could be some other non-biological factors related to life experiences or environment or upbringing." Source: Recer, Paul, "Researchers find Genetic Link to Homosexualtiy," The Associated Press, July 15, 1993.

" The myth of the all-powerful gene is based on flawed science that discounts the environmental context in which we and our genes exist... Many modern researchers continue to believe that sexual preference is to some extent biologically determined. They base this belief on the fact that no single environmental explanation can account for the development of homosexuality. But this does not make sense. Human sexuality is complex and affected by many things. The failure to come up with clear environmental explanation is not surprising, and does not mean that the answer lies in biology. Such studies are bound to come up with plenty of meaningless correlations which will get reported as further evidence of genetic transmission of homosexuality." Dr. Ruth Hubbard, proffessor emeritus of biology at Harvard University, also wrote an article for The New York Times and points out further difficulties with the Hamer X chormosome study. " The fact remains that seven out of 40 pairs did not share identical chromosomal markers. This is difficult to explain if genetics are responsible for sexual orientation. Also, the study failed to analyze a control group, neglecting to search for the markers in the heterosexual brothers of the subjects. Dr. Hubbard comments on this flaw ' It is surprising that the correlation found in this research warranted publication without these controls, especially in as influential a journal as Science.'" In 1994, Science published the following article that included this statement: "Time and time again, scientists have claimed that particular genes or chromosomal regions are associated with behavioral traits, only to withdraw their findings when they were not replicated. 'Unfortunately,' says Yale's [Dr. Joel] Gelernter, 'it's hard to come up with many' findings linking specific genes to complex human behaviors that have been replicated. 'All were announced with great fanfare; all were greeted un-skeptically in the popular press; all are now in disrepute.'" Source: C. mann. "Genes and Behavior," Science 264 (1994): p. 1687.

Dr. Charles Socarides, professor of psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, said this about the LeVay brain study: "The question of a minute section of the brain - submicroscopic almost - as deciding sexual object choice is really preposterous. A cluster of the brain cannot determine sexual object choice." (In other words, there is no proof that this group of neurons affects sexuality.) In this same book, Dr. Simon LeVay commented on the Bailey-Pillard Twin study by saying, "In fact, the twin studies... suggest that it's not totally inborn [homosexuality], because even identical twins are not always of the same sexual orientation." Source: Quoted in Marlin Maddoux, Answers to the Gay Deception, (Dallas, TX, International Christian Media, 1994), p. 24.

In an interview with Simon LeVay about his famous brain study, LeVay stated the following: "It's important to stress what I didn't find. I did not prove that homosexuality is genetic, or find a genetic cause for being gay. I didn't show that gay men are born that way, the most common mistake people make in interpreting my work. Nor did I locate a gay center in the brain... Since I look at adult brains, we don't know if the differences I found were there at birth or if they appeared later." One of Dr. Dean Hamer's fellow research assistants brought him up on charges, saying that he withheld some of the findings that invalidated his study. The National Cancer Institute is investigating Dr. Hamer. (To date, they have not released the results of this investigation and Dr. Hamer has left the National Cancer Institute.) Also, "Evan S. Balaban, a neurobiologist at the Neurosciences Institute in San Diego, notes that the search for the biological underpinnings of complex human traits has a sorry history of late. In recent years, researchers and the media have proclaimed the 'discovery' of genes linked to alcoholism and mental illness as well as to homosexuality. None of the claims, Balaban points out, have been confirmed." Source: John Horgan, "Gay Genes, revisited," Scientific America (November 1995), p. 26.

" Like all complex behavioral and mental states, homosexuality is multi-factorial. It is neither exclusively biological nor exclusively psychological, but results from an as-yet-difficult-to-quantitative mixture of genetic factors, intrauterine influences (some innate to the mother and thus present in every pregnancy, and others incidental to a given pregnancy), postnatal environment (such as parental, sibling, and cultural behavior), and a complex series of repeatedly reinforced choices occurring at critical phases in development." " Reports of morphological differences between the brains of humans with different sexual orientation or gender identity have furthered speculation that such behaviors may result from hormonal or genetic influences on the developing brain. However, the causal chain may be reversed; sexual behavior in adulthood may have caused the morphological differences... It is possible that differences in sexual behavior cause, rather than are caused by, differences in brain structure." Source: S. marc Breedlove, Ph. A study by a homosexual "gay gene" scientist, Dr. Dean Hamer, researched women and found that sisters of lesbians had about a 6% chance of being a lesbian, but that daughters of lesbians had a 33% chance of being a lesbian. This "whopping" jump in the percentage of lesbians among daughters of lesbian mothers, said Hamer, " could only mean one thing. being a lesbian... was 'culturally transmitted, not inherited." Also in 1998, Time Magazine interviewed Dr. Dean Hamer and he himself emphasizes, " These genes do not cause people to become homosexuals... the biology of personality is much more complicated than that." Dean Hamer once again noted a study done by Australian behavioral geneticist Nicolas Martin and Northwestern University psychologist Micheal Bailey, in which Hamer writes, " The best recent study suggests that female sexual identification is more a matter of environment than heredity." Using a national registry of twins in Australia, rather than recruiting twins through advertisements in homosexual publications, the researchers studied 1,912 women between the ages of 17 to 50. They found no difference in the rate of lesbianism in monozygotic (identical) or dyzogotic (fraternal) twins. If there were a genetic factor to lesbianism, the incidence of shared lesbianism would be 100% in monozygotic twins, who have identical genetic makeup, as opposed to dyzogotic twins, who share about 50% of their genetic code. Hamer concluded, " The results showed that for women the main influence on sexual orientation was the shared environment - being raised in the same household by the same parent - while genes seemed to count hardly at all." " In the early '90s, three highly publicized studies seemed to suggest that homosexuality's roots were genetic, traceable to nature rather than nurture... More than five years later the data has never been replicated. moreover, researchers say, the public has misunderstood 'behavioral genetics.' Unlike eye color, behavior is not strictly inherited; it needs to be brought into play by a daunting complexity of environmental factors... The existence of a genetic pattern among homosexuals doesn't mean people are born gay, any more than the genes for height, presumably common in NBA players, indicate an inborn ability to play basketball... admits biologist Evan Balaban, ' I think we're as much in the dark as we ever were.'" Drs. George Rice and George Ebers of the University of Western Ontario and Stanford University did attempt to reproduce Hamers Xq28 (1993 study) results in a study of their own. Their study was released in April 1999 in Science magazine, the same magazine that printed Hamer's study 1993. Rice and Ebers failed to reproduce Hamer's results. They concluded: "It is unclear why our results are so discrepant from Hamer's original study. Because our study was larger than that of Hamer et al., we certainly had adequate power to detect a genetic effect as large as was reported in that study. Nonetheless, our data does not support the presence of a gene of large effect influencing sexual orientation at position Xq28. These results do not support an X-linked gene underlying male homosexuality." " Science has not yet discovered any genetically dictated behavior in humans. So far, genetically dictated behaviors of the one-gene-one-trait variety have been found only in very simple organisms. The closest thing to a genetically-caused human behavior that science has come up with in humans so far (aggression in Dutch men related to a mutation of one gene), is far too responsive to counseling and varied in its expression to be genetically determined. This raises the obvious question: Is there really any such thing as genetically-caused human behavior? " Source: Neil and Briar Whitehead, "My Genes Made Me Do It! Edward Stein, PH. D., homosexual activist and author of The Mismeasure of Desire: The Science, Theory, and Ethics of Sexual Orientation, critically examines the research of both Hamer and LeVay that claims a biological origin to homosexuality. In an interview with The Advocate (a homosexual magazine), Stein said, "there are serious problems with the science itself...My training had taught me that a lot of what was being said was, well, highly unscientific." Stein also explains in his book that none of the researchers studying hypothesized biological origins of homosexuality has proven direct causation, although in some circumstances they claim to have done just that. In February 2000, Harris Poll of 1,010 randomly selected adults found that the number of people who believe "sexual orientation" "is more dependent on the genes you are born with" has increased 6% since 1995. 35% of the people polled believe that homosexuality is "genetic," versus 29% who held that opinion in 1995. 52% believe that "what you learn and experience" causes homosexuality, as opposed to 65% who believed that in 1995. Dr. Robert Spitzer, one of the men who helped change the American Psychiatric Association's opinion on homosexuality as mental disorder in 1973, acknowledged that homosexuals can become heterosexual. In an interview with CitzenLink online newsletter, Spitzer said, " The critics of this kind of therapy don't just argue that it is rarely effective, they argue that it's never effective." Spitzer continues by interviewing former homosexuals who have left the homosexual lifestyle and have lost their attractions for the same sex. He said "What we're really trying to see is, 'Are there individuals who give a pretty convincing report that they have changed in a fundamental way their sexual orientation, and has it been sustained for many years?... I'm personally convinced that many of these individuals have maintained and made major changes in their sexual orientation.'" Source: Pete Winn, " A Crack in the Wall? Myth: Homosexuals are less likely to molest children.

Fact: Once a female molests a Female Child, or a Male a Male Child they are at the very least a bi-sexual, if not a lesbian or homosexual. Here are some more facts on this subject.

Not only are male homosexuals disproportionately likely to molest young boys or male teen-agers, but as we will see there seems to be almost a fascination with "Man-Boy" love in the male homosexual community. Lesbians are far less likely to sexually molest a child, although in recent years there has been more evidence being reported of these types of molestations. However, since over 95% of all sexual molestations are done by men, we will mainly be concentrating on men and their obsession of sex with children.

Prior to 1980

Mark Swift, a homosexual icon, wrote in the Gay Community News about the homosexual agenda on February 15, 1987. Homosexual activist will say that this passage is a joke; however, when reading these statements as "jokes", just think about how many of them have become true! The following excerpts are a reprint from the Congressional Record: "We shall sodomize your sons...We shall seduce them in your schools, in your dormitories, in your gymnasiums, in your locker rooms...in your youth groups (Boy Scouts?)...Your sons shall become our minions and do our bidding (Project 10? Diversity & Multicultural training? AIDS Programs?)...They will come to crave and adore us (Gay, Straight Alliances or GSAs?)...All laws banning homosexual activity will be revoked (Sodomy Laws?). Instead, legislation shall be passed which engenders love between men (anti-discrimination, hate crimes, civil unions Laws?). Our writers and artists will make love between men fashionable (Will&Grace, In&Out or any other prime time sitcom?)...We shall raise vast, private armies...to defeat you ( Homophobia & Intolerance training?). Our only Gods are handsome young men (Pick up any "gay" magazine or newspaper!). All males who insist on remaining stupidly heterosexual will be tried in homosexual courts of justice and will become invisible men (Look at recent court rulings across America&World?). Tremble, hetero swine, when we appear before you without our masks." (One day soon, our leaders?)

Judge J.T. Rees concluded that "the male homosexual naturally seeks the company of the male adolescent, or of the young male adult, in preference to the fully-grown man. [In 1947] 986 persons were convicted of homosexual and unnatural offences. Of those, 257 were indictable offences involving 402 male victims...The great majority [whom]... were under the age of 16, only 11% ...were over 21. The problem of male homosexuality is in essence the problem of the corruption of youth by itself [i.e. by other boys] and by its elders [And thereby]... the creation...of new addicts ready to corrupt a still further generation of young men and boys in the future." In "For Money or Love, Boy Prostitution in America," which was published in 1976, libertarian Robin Lloyd quotes former Sen. Birch Bayh, D-Ind., stating that the growing traffic in boy prostitution is "a hitherto under discuss facet of the homosexual world," says Lloyd, "Perhaps 500,000 runaway boys in this country (aged 10 to 16) are peddling their bodies to 'chicken hawks' - older men who lust for 'chicken' [boys]." "There are tightly run organizations...geared to provide wealthy clients with both pornography and boys. ...[T]heir boys will entertain movie stars, prominent athletes, politicians and, in some cases, heads of state." Lloyd observes that "boy prostitutes in Times Square outnumber female hookers 5 to 1." Lloyd adds, saying of boy-abusers individually and in groups, "[The police raids] usually go unreported by the press. Both wire services, the AP and UPI, file the stories to newspapers, radio stations and television stations but always with the cautionary headline, 'EDITORS (NOTE NATURE OF THE STORY). Editors do...and often elect not to (run the story).'"

Several studies reveal that while no more than 2% of the male adults are homosexual, approximately 35% of pedophiles are homosexual. The first study done out of Toronto reviewed two sizeable studies and calculated that 34% and 32% of the offenders against children were homosexual. In the cases personally handled by the doctors, homosexuals accounted for 36% of their 457 pedophiles. In 1983, a probability survey of sexual experiences of 4,340 adults in 5 U.S. cities found that about 3% of men and 7 percent of women reported sexual involvement with a man before the age of 13. By definition that means that 30% of these molestations were homosexual acts. Also, the survey reported on any sexual advances and any physical sexual contact by elementary and secondary teachers (4% of the teachers claimed to be bisexual or homosexual). 29% of the advances by elementary and 16% of the advances by secondary school teachers were homosexual. In addition, 25% reported actual sexual contact with an elementary school teacher were homosexual. In high school 8 (22%) of 37 contacts between teachers and pupil were homosexual. " Boys who are molested often find that telling others that someone took control of them is an extremely difficult thing to admit because it isn't 'manly' to allow such things to happen. Conversely, in some situations, if a girl is molested, it is not as threatening for them to disclose. For example, in a case in southern California, a man was involved sexually with and photographed approximately 150 boys between the ages of 6 and 14 years...He was discovered only after he took pictures of some girls who told their parents afterward. Interviews conducted by police investigators with pedophiles themselves also reveal some startling information. A 52-year-old man told an investigator of 5,000 children he had molested in his lifetime; a 42-year-old Connecticut man told of more than 1,000 children he had molested; and a 62-year-old man, an oil executive with a $11,000-a-month trust fund, admitted to molesting a 'boy a day' for 30 years." The number of boys victimized is estimated to be around 3.2 million. The number of victims is derived from the fact that 3.8% of 3,132 adult subjects in this study were males, who reported childhood sexual contact with an adult, 93% of those with an adult male. Based on this study, one would multiply the U.S. adult male population by 3.8% and then by 93%, and arrive at 3.2 million. Of the sexual abuse of children, 35% were homosexual assaults (Experts agree that this number is probably higher because large numbers of adult males repress, or do not report, the painful experience of molestation). Robert was born on Rikers Island, and his luck never got much better. By the time he was 13, he was a runaway living amid the peep shows and video arcades of Times Square. At age 19, he had lost 80 pounds and all his teeth and would die of AIDS by Christmas. The number of teenagers with HIV remains small. In New York City, only 41 cases have been diagnosed. But for the teenagers of Times Square - living at a crossroads of illegal drugs and $5 sex (tricks) - the odds grow worse each day. They gravitate toward one of the city's tawdriest areas because they think they can make money there. Some advocates for children say almost half the 10,000 homeless teenagers on the streets of New York are homosexual, many of them working as prostitutes on the piers and the darkest recesses of Times Square. Social workers say the men who buy their favors, and sometimes carry infection home to their wives, are seeking progressively younger partners in the hope they will be "clean." Many children leave home fleeing sexual abuse. John is one of these homeless teenagers. He lives in the Port Authority Bus Terminal - sleeping in a corner, eating fast food and hustling older men outside the lavatories on the second floor. "You don't think about AIDS," John said. "You think about money." In a promiscuous population like these teenage runaways. AIDS spreads like wildfire, as it did in certain segments of the adult male homosexual population. "Once you get the virus seeded into a community with multiple partners, it's likely to transmit very rapidly," said Dr. Stephen C. Joseph, the New York City Health Commissioner. In New York City, 34 adolescents, age 13 to 19, have contracted the invariably fatal illness. more than 50% of them are dead. There are more than 2,000 AIDS cases in the city among people between the ages of 20 and 29, and the majority are thought to have been infected as adolescents. The overwhelming majority of teenagers and young adults with AIDS are males and most of those are homosexuals, exposed through anal intercourse. The risk to girls from lesbian sex is considered slight, but they can be exposed through the heterosexual sex that they sometimes seek to disguise their homosexuality (or with homosexual male friends). In conversations with about 2 dozens gay teenagers, none said the epidemic had stopped them from becoming sexually active. Students at a (gay) dance talked wistfully of the gay life style of the 1970's. "I do envy that free-love period," one said. In this grim nether world, smooth-faced youngsters prowl the piers near Gansevoort Street, past parked cars with out-of-state license plates, and sell themselves for $10. Nearby, in Dizzy Izzy's doughnut shop at 14th Street and Ninth Avenue, a half-dozen transvestite prostitutes gather for a break. At a local gay teen club, hoping to prompt discussion, the institute showed a movie about AIDS at the after- school film club. The teenagers erupted in anger. "Are you saying this will happen to me?" one gay youngster shouted. "The answer is yes," Ms. Hunter said in the suddenly quiet room. In 1987, Dr. Stephen Rubin, associate professor of psychology at Whitman College, conducted a 10 state survey and found 199 sexual abuse cases involving teachers. 122 male teachers had abused female pupils and 14 female teachers had abused male students. In a clinical study, Robert L. Johnson, M.D., found that "70% of those who had been molested (by a male or female) felt devastated immediately after the molestation incident had occurred." Johnson also notes: "Low self-esteem and depression are the most important long-term effects experienced by sexually abused boys, along with a tendency to feel helpless and vulnerable. Some of these boys are almost compulsively drawn into situations where they are repeatedly victimized. Adult types of sexual dysfunction appear to be as common among former sexual abuse victims as they are in adult rape victims." Source: Interview with Robert L. Johnson, M.D., conducted by Diane K. 1990-1994 In America and Canada, The North American Man-boy Love Association (NAMBLA) marches in many "Gay Pride Parades" with the stated goal of removing barriers to man-boy sex. In 1990, The Journal of Homosexuality produced a special double issue devoted to adult-child sex, which was entitled "Male Intergenerational Intimacy." On page 133, one article said many pedophiles believe they are "born that way and cannot change." Another writer said a man who counseled troubled teenage boys could achieve "miracles...not by preaching to them, but by sleeping with them." On page 162, the loving pedophile can offer a "companionship, security, and protection" which neither peers nor parents can provide. On page 164, parents should look upon the pedophile who loves their son "not as a rival or competitor, not as a thief of their property, but as a partner in the boy's upbringing, someone to be welcomed into their home..." On page 323, a British university professor writes: "Boys want sex with men, boys seduce adult men, the experience is very common and much enjoyed." All agreed that the incident of a 11-year-old boy being abducted and raped (sodomized) by an HIV positive man was any parent's worst nightmare. While parents are grappling with the 11-year-old's kidnapping and his exposure to the AIDS virus, gay groups in the (New York) city expressed concern that the suspect's right to confidentiality about his infection had been violated by the police. The complaint was against Troy A. Rivera, who after forcing the boy into his apartment, ordered the child to perform oral sex on him and that when the child refused. Rivera threw him on his bed and raped him. Rivera was charged with second-degree kidnapping and first-and second - degree sodomy. Prosecutors were still investigating whether to file additional charges of "relating to his knowingly exposing the child to the HIV virus." A spokesman for the Federal Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, John Taylor, said that in cases of a one-time contact during anal intercourse between men "the risk of transmission ranges from 1 in 19 to 1 in 50." After his arrest, the police revealed that Rivera had told them that he had AIDS. "How did the police learn he was HIV positive, and why did they release it?" asked William K. Dobbs, a lawyer and member of Act Up, a group that lobbies for AIDS patients' rights. Capt. William K. Rowe of the Manhattan detective bureau said, "He (Rivera) told me he had a lot of sexual encounters with male teenagers. I inquired how old they were. He said 17 and above." Rivera had two prior convictions, one of them was sodomy and robbery with injury. Neighbors also said that Rivera continually took young male children to his apartment who looked to be 14 and 15 years old. One neighbor said he called 4 times in the summer with his concerns about the boys and gave police Rivera's name. Author Tom Reeves, a self-admitted pederast who was part of the early "gay rights" movement, explains the role of pederasts in homosexualist activism: "Almost everyone of the early openly homosexual writers was a pederast. Pederasty was a constant theme of early gay literature, art, and pornography. The Stonewall riots were precipitated by an incident involving an underage drag queen, yet that detail was not viewed as significant. Curtis Price, a 14 year old, self-described "radical hustler," formed the first gay liberation organization in Baltimore, Maryland. Many of the leaders of the early gay liberation and founders of the major gay groups in the U.S. were man-boy lovers. Other homosexualist-run "children-rights" organizations include the Rene Guyon Society, which was formed in 1962 "to make it possible for adults to provide sexual stimulation for virtually all children." "Queer Nation and Act-up" were home to "both boys and men" who wanted "additional cultural activity beyond...their illegal relationships." Reeves claimed in a 1979 speech that he personally had met "over 500 men" who "were struggling with their attraction to boys." "Almost to a man," said Reeves, "they are teachers and Boy Scout leaders and Boys Club leaders." Pedophilia and its promotion is not limited to male homosexuals. Virginia Uribe, a lesbian teacher in Los Angeles, has been at the forefront of a movement to "affirm gay teenagers," through school-based pro-homosexual "counseling". Her own program, called Project 10 (named for the the myth that 10% of the US population is homosexual), included a book for young people called "One Teenager in Ten". This "resource" for troubled teens features lurid pornographic stories, including a graphic lesbian sex scene between a 12 year-old girl and her 23 year-old dance teacher. The apparent goal is to activate children's sexuality at increasingly younger ages. At a conference promoting Project 10 to public school teachers in Oregon, University of Washington sociologist Pepper Schwartz admits targeting pre-pubescent children for "affirmation," saying, "At this point, getting the majority to say 'gay' is good' at 9 or 10 years old is going to be difficult, but just because it is difficult doesn't mean it's not the right thing." "...exclusion of NAMBLA from the pride parade is dangerously flawed in that it divides our community - making us all weaker and more vulnerable... Does (anybody) really believe that if NAMBLA were not part of the gay community, heterosexuals would stop hating gays? It's interesting to think that (people) would discriminate against homosexual men who love boys... by (those) standards the pride committee would have to exclude from marching men like these: Walt Whitman, Oscar Wilde, Socrates - all of whom loved boys. I even doubt if Harvey Milk would be allowed to march - I understand he had a 16-year-old lover. I know to love a boy is a crime, but sodomy in Georgia is also a crime... NAMBLA's position on sex is not unreasonable, just unpopular: it believes that consensaul sex between a youth and a man is consenual... Will we also exclude gay youth from marching in the parade, because they don't know any better that they are willing participants in their own 'molestation?' When a 14-year-old gay boy approaches a man for sex, it's because he wants sex with a man. Remember that almost every gay man was once a gay boy himself, a boy who was willing to have sex with men. The love between men and boys is the foundation of homosexuality. For the gay community to imply that boy-love is not homosexual love is ridiculous... Child molesting does occur, but there are also positive sexual relations. And we need to support the men and the boys in those relationships." Gay advocates state that most child molesters are heterosexuals males. But this is a misleading statement. In proportion to their numbers (about 1 out of 36 men), homosexual males are more likely to engage in sex with minors: in fact, they appear to be 3 times more likely than straight men to engage in adult-child sexual relations. The average homosexual pedophile victimizes between 20 to 150 boys before being arrested. This is far more children than the average heterosexual pedophile. Source: K. Freud and R.I. Also in 1992, a letter was sent to then Chief Scout Executive of the Boy Scouts of America, Ben Love, by NAMBLA. The following letter is an excerpt from NAMBLA's Bulletin and written by its Co-Secretary: "Dear Mr. Love, At its 16th membership conference, held in Chicago, August 7-9, 1992, the North American Man/Boy Love Association unanimously adopted the following resolution: 'NAMBLA calls on the Boy Scouts of America to cease its discrimination against openly gay or lesbian persons in the appointment of its scout masters. This will permit more of those individuals who genuinely wish to serve boys to do so.' I feel especially honored to have been asked to alert you of this resolution...I have also been a scout and scout leader and share with so many in NAMBLA affection for the movement. We recognize, of course, that the action for which we call is inevitable. What a great added contribution your organization will make possible to all the boys and girls who participate in it when you take this step. May it be taken in the near future. We share a common mission - to bring greater understanding and light and purpose to the young as they grow. We invite you to join with us in cherishing individual integrity, and in seeking the opportunity for every boy and girl in our country to find their own truth. We encourage you to help every person associated with your organization to be able to express those values from themselves which to them represent for themselves the Good, the True, and the Beautiful. Another apologist for pederasty is Larry Kramer, founder of ACT-UP. In Report from the Holocaust: The Making of an AIDS Activist (1993), Kramer had this to say about adult/child sex: "In those instances where children do have sex with their homosexual elders, be they teachers or anyone else, I submit that often, very often, the child desires the activity, and perhaps even solicits it."

In 1980 the largest Dutch gay organization (the COC) "adopted the position that the liberation of pedophilia must be viewed as a gay issue...[and that] ages of consent should therefore be abolished...by acknowledging the affinity between homosexuality and pedophilia, the COC has quite possibly made it easier for homosexual adults to become more sensitive to erotic desires of younger members of their sex, thereby broadening gay identity." In 1990 COC achieved a significant victory: lowering of the age of consent for homosexual sex in Holland to 12 [ unless the parents object, in which case it goes up to 15]. The NAMBLA Bulletin reported that Harry Hay (credited with the founding of the modern day "gay rights" movement) was the featured speaker at NAMBLA's annual membership conference, June 24-25, 1994. To quote the article, "[He] gave an inspiring talk about reclaiming for the 1990's the spirit of homoerotic sharing and love from various ancient Greek traditions of pederasty. A remarkably balanced and sensitive account of the conference appeared in the August 23 Advocate from a writer who was invited to attend. Also in this publication was an article about membership of groups such as the International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA) being expelled from the United Nations Economic and Social Council in September of 1993 because of their pedophilia ties. Attempting to forestall their expulsion ILGA tried to separate itself from pederast groups but quickly learned that support for the "boy-lovers" was too deeply entrenched in the association. ILGA's ouster of ten-year member NAMBLA and a couple of other high-profile groups caused European pederast member-organizations to step forward in protest. Mark Welch is not exactly trilled that his brother, Jeff, is getting out of a Nashville prison. In fact, the California attorney has sent out a frantic press release warning Twin Cities residents that his brother, a convicted child molester, may visit relatives in the metro area. "He will abuse children again," Welch said from Pleasanton on Friday. Jeff Welch could not be reached for comment Friday. A criminal court clerk in Ruther County, Tenn., said the man was imprisoned in Nashville after pleading guilty in 1987 to aggravated sexual battery on a 6-year-old girl. Jeff Welch, 34, was suspected of abusing three other minors. "As a teenager...I experimented with my brother, and three other young children in the neighborhood...Mark was the only one I ever 'forced' to do anything," wrote Jeff Welch. Mark Welch, 33, said he was 13 when the abuse began on a Thursday in November 1973. Jeff Welch threw him on the bed and assaulted him, Mark Welch said. There was about 100 attacks between 1973 and 1974, and the abuse ended only when the boys' parents separated, he said. Mark mostly kept silent about the abuse until his father's death in 1990. He then read his brother's court file and eventually decided to take action. "I believe that my brother will seek out situations so he can molest children," he said. "I am causing a lot of discomfort in my family by publicizing this. But that's better than the discomfort I would feel if (Jeff Welch) molested somebody again." "A growing number of children are molesting other children. These child-aged molesters are influenced by a variety of factors including 'night visitors' to their unmarried mother, sexually explicit TV and movies, and school sex education. The strongest influence, however, may be incest and/or being molested by another, usually older, child... These investigations point up the strong likelihood that children who become prematurely sexual will engage in homosexuality. Any school or advertising program that teaches kids about sex runs the risk of 'stimulating' youngsters into sexual activity." Source: Dr. Paul Cameron, Family Research Report, March-April, 1994.

"The often stated claim by militant gays that they are statistically no more likely to engage in pederasty than heterosexuals has no empirical basis. A 1985 study of arrests in 12 U.S. jurisdictions showed, on average, about 40% of arrests for pederasty homosexuals. Another recent study, touted by gays as evidence to support their claim of being no more likely than heteros to engage in such behavior, actually proved the exact opposite. The study was done by a team of researchers from the University of Colorado who, according to the leader, Dr. Carole Jenny, set out to prove that homosexuals were not more likely to molest children...In any case, the researchers looked at 269 cases at a child-molestation clinic and found that 50 cases, or 18.5%, were male-on-male molestation. Since homosexuals make up probably less than 5% of the population (more like 2%), this would seem to indicate a disproportionate molestation rate. So the investigators engaged in what is known in the scientific community as 'data torture.' Without interviewing the molesters, the interviewers decided that most of those offenders who engaged in homosexual sex weren't really homosexuals. Only one (1) of the 50 actually qualified as gay...The study was then touted as evidence that gays don't molest children." The beneficiaries of "sexual freedom" for children and teens are often predatory adult homosexuals. The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is on record that "gay teens should be supported in coming out," but writer Paul Mulshine notes that "the guidance, and the sex, tends to come from adult gays who bring the teens out... A study published in the Journal of Pediatrics showed that of a sample of gay teenagers who had steady sexual partners, the mean age of the partners was 25 years." Mulshine also cites a "1985 study of arrest in 12 U.S. jurisdictions [for child sex abuse, which] showed... on average, about 40% of arrests for pederastic homosexuals." 1995 - 1999 A local elementary school teacher (Neil Shumate) was charged with molesting a number of his (male) students. The jury verdict was returned, finding Shumate guilty of molesting his students. During the trail, local newspapers reported in grim detail the testimony of about a dozen children, who clearly testified that Mr. Shumate had fondled their "privates" and had put his hands inside their clothing. Defense attorney claimed that Mr. Shumate was merely tucking in a loose shirt or something similar, and each child clearly responded that Mr. Shumate was not just tucking in a shirt or something similar. Before, during and after the trail, Mr. Shumate made every possible effort to make his case appear to be a miscarriage of justice. After his conviction, he scheduled a press conference where he claimed there was no testimony of molestation; his statements ignored hours of courtroom testimony. Mr. Shumate's supports, included family members and some parents of his former students, aggressively maligned the district attorney and police assigned to the case. After the father of one of Shumate's former students spoke out publicly in Shumate's support, his son reluctantly revealed that he had, in fact, reported inappropriate touching by Mr. Shumate to his mother. The school district promptly sought better training for its teachers, both in responding to reports of child molestation and in dealing with child abuse victims. The jury convicted Shumate of intentionally sexually molesting several children in his classroom - based on the difficult standard of "beyond a reasonable doubt." Based on the jury's verdict, I believe Neil Shumate is not just a child molester but a pedophile. And some people simply have too much "invested" in their friendships and the people they trust to accept that their friend or teacher might be weak or emotionally disturbed. Source: Mark J. Adolf Hitler's close friendship with the family of composer Richard Wagner is well known. Only recently revealed is the accusation by Wagner family members "that Hitler sexually abused the young Wieland [Wagner's grandson, now 75] during the '20s." these allegations came to light in a Time Magazine interview with American author and former diplomat to Germany, Frederic Spotts, whose research for the book "Bayreuth" (about the Wagnerian opera festival of the same name) included interviews with the Wagner family. "Spotts says that his original source was one of Wieland's own children...Now a respected academic, Spotts says it was while he was researching 'Bayreuth" that he interviewed his source - who, he insists, is totally reliable and has no reason to lie. 'This family member told me Hitler sexually abused Wieland in the 1920s when the boy was a preadolescent'...Hitler who idolized Richard Wagner's supernationalistic operas (as well as his anti-Semitism), had become a close friend of Wieland's mother's. Winifred Wagner gave him free run of the children's' nursery (where the alleged molestation took place). Source: Time Magazine, August 15, 1995, vol. 56.

It is impossible to determine the total number of male homosexual pedophiles, but they may constitute at least 10% of the adult male homosexual population. This is taken from the total number of victims and divide it by the mean number of victims per homosexual pedophile (150), which is 21,333. But this is not an accurate number, because it is based only on pedophiles who have been caught. The majority are probably never caught - perhaps in part because they molest fewer boys. If we lower the victimization rate to, say, 25 boys per pedophile, we arrive at the very disturbing number of 128,000, which is over 10% of the practicing male homosexual population. It is estimated that approximately 80% of pedophilic victims are boys who have been molested by adult males. Source: Thomas B. Schmidt, "The Price of Love," Straight & Narrow? 1995; pp. 115 &205.

" Childhood sexual seductions are an obvious cause of homosexuality. When these seductions give pleasure and comfort, the same-sex sex can become addictive, especially when it overtakes someone caught up in a traumatic family situation. The sex - so quick and easy - can help relieve a person's anxiety. Thus it becomes a kind of habit. Like any habit, smoking for instance, it is a habit that can be hard to kick. That's the way it is with addictions that give great pleasure." Source: Charles Socarides, M.D., "Homosexually, A Freedom Too Far," 1995, p. 19.

Rather they argue that pedophilia is an acceptable aspect of sexuality, especially of homosexuality. Indeed, the San Francisco Sentinel, a Bay Area gay-activist newspaper, published a piece arguing that pedophilia is central to male homosexual life." Sexual abuse is an independent predictor of sexual risk-taking among young HIV-negative homosexual men, according to Canadian researchers who presented their findings at the XI International Conference on AIDS in Vancouver, BC. Among 287 HIV-negative gay men aged 18 to 30, risk takers were more likely to have unstable housing, less education, a higher score on depression measures, and were more likely to use cocaine, alcohol, cigarettes and nitrate inhalants. Risk takers were also more likely to have been paid for sex in the last year and to have experienced nonconsensual sex. Dr. Steffanie A. Strathdee at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver said "...independent predictors of sexual risk taking were more than ten drinks of alcohol per week...use of cocaine...and nonconsensual sex over age 12." Dr. Strathdee believes that these findings "...indicate a significant association between sexual abuse and subsequent risk behaviors...(and) sexual abuse could be a marker of vulnerability rather than a predisposing factor." Bill Walsh taught in Gilmer County, Ga., until he was charged with molesting boys. But there was no indictment, so Walsh moved to Oconee County, where he worked as a substitute teacher. There, 3 boys accused him of touching them on the buttocks and crotch. But no one could prove it, and nobody reported it to the state, and Walsh moved on, to Social Circle Elementary School. Disciplinary actions and lawsuits over alleged "indifference" to pupils' needs can be found from Florida to California. In one case, Florida's Education Practices Commission first revoked the license of teacher Norman Bailey, accused of pressuring students for sex. Then the agency went after his principal. Raymond Rainone, saying he "failed to make reasonable effort to protect" students. In Michigan, the legislature banned secrecy agreements like one that silenced authorities in Flint from passing information about an alleged teacher-seducer who moved from there to Miami. Florida students said the practice continued, one student killed herself. In Kansas, a student's $8 million lawsuit accuses administrators of "negligent failure to warm" about a teacher's history of abuse. Ann Turnbow, the mother of an Arkansas student suing administrators for alleged "indifference" to a teacher-coach's seduction, said: "If they had been doing their job this man wouldn't have been able to do the things he did." Meanwhile, efforts continue to close gaps in laws protecting students. California closed what a lawmaker called "an absurd loophole" by enacting a 1994 law permanently revoking credentials of teachers convicted of felony sex offenses or distributing drugs to minors. Previously, such teachers could have credentials restored a year after suspension. 4 had returned to the classroom this way in the proceeding four years. In New York, Donna Covello says she's fighting to close loopholes. She pressed legislators for passage on several measures, including a "Position of Trust" bill. That bill would have made it a felony punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment for educators and others to sexually abuse children in their care. She blamed the teachers union - which maintains a political action committee that spent nearly $1 million last year on statehouse campaigns - for blocking the legislation in the just-ended session. Ms. Covello sees different complications by letting these teachers off the hook. "I don't think many people understand. The damage of being sexually abused is horrible." When she was 14, a school counselor began a two-year period of molesting her, she said. It was not until two decades later, after she attempted suicide and overcame anorexia, that she finally filed a complaint. That act of will three years ago led to another: directly confronting the counselor, by then a school dean. "I wore a body wire. My fear was he wasn't going to talk," she said. "But he did." He was forced to resign. Source: Christopher Sullivan, "Laws, customs changing to protect school kids, but gaps remain," Associated Press, August 31, 1997.

" The internet has been a dream come true for a pedophile. It has taken the play ground from the street and put it into their home where they can cultivate potential victims in secrecy, and in seclusion. These child molesters enter chat areas where children frequent, usually profiling themselves as minors. Pornography is readily available, legal for them to obtain, and is often sent to a potential victim in an attempt to lower their inhibitions. Child pornography is often sent to the child to further demonstrate that this is a normal activity. The ultimate objective of the pedophile is to meet the child." State officials are trying to determine if convicted child molester, John Shallenberger, now living in Mexico, is violating court orders that prohibit him from having contact with children. Shallenberger, 82, graduated in 1935 from an exclusive private school outside Philadelphia. In the "Class Notes" section of the school's alumni magazine, he writes that he is living in Mexico, "where he is serving as a Christian missionary. He is happy to accept any graduates who wish to send or bring Christian youth groups to Mexico." Shallenberger, a former choir director, was convicted in 1975 and 1985 for sexual abuse of young boys during choir trips. While living in the states in 1994, he tried to recruit 12 children from Illinois for a trip to Mexico. When law enforcement authorities learned about the trip and tried to bring him back to court, he fled to Mexico. On June 2, 1998, Bishop Joseph Symons of Palm Beach, Fla., resigned for having sexually molested five teenaged boys during his earlier career as a priest. In a letter left by Symons, he admitted to "inappropriate sexual behavior with minors," and apologizing to those he had hurt while asking for prayer from the faithful. Never before has so a high-ranking American Catholic clergyman been forced to leave office as an admitted pedophile. After a couple of notorious cases in the mid-1980s, priest-pedophilia began to receive widespread and sensational attention from newspapers, newsmagazines, and television (even a HBO special movie). This case drew little attention nationwide. According to Jenkins, who wrote Pedophiles and Priests in 1995, said the evidence indicates that pedophilia among Catholic priests is no more common than among clergy of other faiths, or in the population at large. Liberal Catholics (and gay activist) seized on publicized cases as a failure of the institutional church fixing responsibility on its continued embrace of clerical celibacy. Conservatives took priest-pedophilia as yet another proof of post-Vatican II laxity, and demanded that the church take a tougher line on homosexuality. (CPR notes: homosexual activist have used this problem to claim discrimination and bash the Catholic Church for its position on homosexuality. Obviously, there have been homosexuals and homosexual pedophiles who have enter the church priesthood in order to corrupt it and try to change it.) In December 2, 1998 issue of the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) released a cumulative report on male child sexual abuse. The article stated that it was estimated that 1 out of 4 girls are sexually molested in America today. This report makes the conservative claim that 1 in 5 boys are also sexually assaulted. The article reviewed 176 scientific research studies over the past 12 years dealing with male child sexual abuse. The staggering results are as follows: As high as 94% of all perpetrators abusing boys were men. Sexually abused boys described three or more sexual acts. These included but not limited to forced anal penetration, oral or genital contact. Abuse involving anal penetration covered in the report was up to two-third's of the cases. Male sexual abuse victims are 4 times more likely to suffer major depression, 3 times greater to have bulimia; and twice as likely to have developed behavioral problems. Suicide rates range from 1.5 to 14 times higher than the average teenage boy. Substance abuse rates are 12 to 44 times higher than normal. Boy victims were up to 7 times more likely to identify themselves as homosexual or bisexual. Source: William C. Holmes, Md, MSCE, Gail B. Pornography may be defined as sexually explicit material that somebody finds offensive, indecent, or in bad taste. The question then becomes, "who ought to decide, and should their viewpoint be institutionalized in a way that affects others?" In my judgment, no single text can fully reflect the diversity of viewpoints generated by this topic. Politically, pornography may be akin to a Rorschach test. That is, an individual's viewpoint, if spoken honestly, likely reflects more about his or her own beliefs and values than about pornography itself. Historically, opinions about pornography have been used to justify literary censorship and criminalization. Perhaps, the bottom line politically is that we may have to agree to disagree, and that mutual tolerance and respect for individual viewpoints represents the best contemporary solution. In growing up, persons do not decide what will arouse them sexually. Rather, they discover the nature of their own sexual makeup. Viewing pornography likely causes the release of opiate-like chemicals in the brain. Some relationships falter because a spouse considers a partner's interest, whether in oral sex, bondage, or cross dressing, pornographic. Those with unconventional sexual interests, no matter how decent they might otherwise be, are often labeled "perverts." Such prejudices can compromise objective exploration, and publication, of relevant mental health research. The expression of sex in a coercive, non-consenting fashion, or with children, too young to give meaningful consent, cannot be accepted. Yet in considering the effects of pornography in such instances, it is important to note that explicit pictures of adult erotic activity would likely not be of much interest to an individual who is sexually attracted to children, whereas the classic RCA Victor logo of the dog pulling down the pajama bottoms of a young boy might be viewed as highly pornographic. Individuals arrested for downloading child pornography from the Internet in recent years have included (1) a West Point alumnus, and former armed forces intelligence officer, who had graduated from law school magna cum laude, with a documented IQ of 172; (2) an employee of the United States Senate who had downloaded pornography onto a government computer; and (3) an FBI agent. In summary, what then can be said about pornography, and about its publication? Perhaps it is to speak against both secular and sectarian prejudices. When either intemperate sexual expression, or intemperate religious zeal, risks harm to others, society should strive to prevent that from occurring. There is not one correct response to questions about pornography, and no single book (Bible?) has given a definitive answer. In preparing our children to grow up, we must prepare them for the fact that there is sexual diversity. It should be acceptable to exclude pornography from one's own life for religious, personal or mental health reasons, while still respecting the rights of others to publish it, and to have access to it. One of society's most vexing challenges may be to overcome unwarranted prejudices about sexual differences, and about their potential expression through pornography. (Paper's note: Fred S. Robert Bruce Craft, a 57 year old child psychologist, was found guilty of 99 felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, three counts of misdemeanor sexual exploitation of a minor and 15 felony counts of child molestation. For hours during the three-day trail, Judge Carl C. Brown Jr. viewed hundreds of photographs of children partially and completely nude and photographs of children with legs spread, often revealing underwear and genitals. "Anybody seeing the 616 photographs prosecutors presented as evidence could not help but react emotionally and with anger," said Defense Attorney Rowe Stayton. "Everything this man has done has fits the classic profile of a pedophile," said District Attorney Danny Craig. The investigation began when an FBI agent in October of 1996 interviewed the doctor about a series of photographs of a 3-year-old boy. Armed with search warrants, The FBI seized thousands of photos and slides from Dr. Craft's home and office. State law enforcement officials wanted to move quickly. One reason was that Dr. Craft was under contract with the Department of Family and Children Services to treat child patients. Judge Brown may structure a sentence ranging from probation, a combination of probation and prison, or prison. The minimum sentence is five years. The maximum: 2,283 years. "Reel Affirmations 9", Washington DC's ninth International gay & lesbian film festival, was in the nation's capitol from October 14-24, 1999. One of the feature films was "The O Boys" with the following description of the film: " In your face erections combined with sex, sex, and more sex...In an age of barebacking and other risky business...light the way to the freeing experience which can only come from wild gay sex orgies. In the words of one of the directors on his Phil Donahue appearance, 'AIDS doesn't have to be the end of great sex.'...This well-shot, fast-paced tale of an infamous group of Los Angeles' sexual renegades will have you begging the boy parties in DC to expand their mission...and in the words of the Me Generation: free your ass and your mind will follow." Most criminals mellow with age. But sexual predators are different, as a child molester or violent rapist matures into old age, his urge to engage in illegal sex remains acute, sometimes even growing stronger. Often, the country's oldest prisoners are sex offenders imprisoned relatively recently and considered too dangerous to parole. In a 1997 study, the Federal Bureau of Justice Statistics found that released rapists were more than 10 times as likely as ex-cons charged with other crimes to be rearrested for rape. Convicted sex offenders were 7.5 times more likely to be rearrested for sexual assault. Due to states adopting "Megan's Law", more sex offenders are being reported. In Wisconsin, the population of sex criminals has risen by 132% over the past 10 years. Baltimore Magazine in June of 1999 decided to do an article about a teenage boy who comes out to his parents. In the beginning of the story, the boy at age 14 goes on the internet after getting an ad out of the City Paper about a "gay" chat room. There the boy meets a homosexual man of 24. Eventually, the adult homosexual goes to the boys' house, takes him to dinner and they go together to a "gay" bar called "Allegro". This bar often appears in the Baltimore Gay Paper. The bar celebrates Friday nights as "Boywatch Dance Party" and on Sunday nights has "Boy Toy Night." This Kind of mentoring is common in the male homosexual world. Citizens for Parents' Rights (CPR) attended a workshop by Planned Parenthood of Maryland on June 10, 1999. The all day workshop entitled "Unequal Partners: Addressing Power and Consent in Adult-Teen Relationships," was open to all persons who worked with children. A sexual relationship was deemed "healthy" as long as the child was mature enough to give "informed consent." So, executive director of CPR, Tres Kerns, asked the facilitator, " Are you saying that a 13-year-old dating or having sexual relationships with a 21-year-old is okay?" He responded, " I'm not making that judgment call, I don't know. I think there are objective ways of measuring that." We are talking about a 13-year-old having sex with an adult. This is statutory rape in the state of Maryland, yet Planned Parenthood thinks nothing of it! Lest anyone miss the underlying theme of that workshop, one of the main points at the end of the conference was shown on a overhead slide that stated " Not all adult-teen relationships are negative." " It's about time you woke up down there in Massachusetts," says Katherine Prudhomme, a New Hampshire woman who organized a petition drive to get officials to explain the case of Scott Selinger, a man who was arrested for molesting a boy, was freed on $5,000 bail and then kidnapped 6 year-old Mark DeVoe in her state. She is exasperated with the political culture of the Bay State, and of "judges who are so open-minded that their brains are falling out," she told Massachusetts News. This is just one of several recent incidents in which accused or convicted sex offenders were arrested for committing more sex crimes against children while out on bail, parole, or probation. In June 1999, George Roy was charged with sexual assault of a 4 old girl in Springfield, Mass. He was previously convicted of a sex crime, but was never registered as a sex offender. In June 1999, Micheal Vick, a man with a history of sex convictions, was arrested for molesting a four-month old boy. In November 1998, Eben Hoyt was arrested for dozens of child rapes while on probation, and while registered as a sex offender. In January 1999, a twice-convicted sex offender was arrested for raping a four-year old boy. This April, 1999, Brian Nagle, who had been convicted of sex crimes in 1987 and 1996, and was registered as a level III [most dangerous] sex offender, raped a 6 year-old boy. Unfortunately, (most) sex offenders usually do not get treatment, and even more rarely get effective treatment, until after they are released. It is also unlikely that sex offenders will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. "Shoplifters can spend more time in jail than child molesters," said Sgt. Kevin Martin of the Methuen police force's sexual assault unit. You can't cure a sex offender. If you're a sex offender, you're a sex offender for life." On September 13, 1999, Sports Illustrated did a special report on men molesting boys in athletics. The article opens: "The child molester has found a home in the world of youth sports, where as a coach he can gain the trust and loyalty of kids - and then prey on them." Norman Waston, a convicted pedophile, states in this ten page story "...I have a predisposition to want to be around, and am sexually aroused by, young boys..." The report goes on to say that the average male pedophile coach molests 120 boys before being caught. A FBI agent, said " These sex offenders 'will molest more children than any other type.' Anywhere from 12 to 500 or 600." Towards the end of the article, a basketball coach in Boston, who has confessed to taking nude whirlpool baths with boys he coaches, is suing parents who filed complains against him that resulted in him losing his job. Jesse Dirkhising was a 13 year old boy in Arkansas that in August of 1999 was kidnapped, raped repeatedly (sodomized), bound, gagged, blindfolded and tortured to death by two homosexual male pedophile lovers. Jesse Dirkhising was just a small teenage boy (records show he only weighed about 80lbs.) who's murders had plan his sexual rape months in advance. The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the largest homosexual rights organization in America, claims Jesse's death has nothing to do with being gay! Court documents actually reveal that while one homosexual man had anal intercourse with Jesse, the other stood in the doorway masturbating! (CPR Note: In this story the reporters reference 13 specific incidents of teachers molesting children; 3 are heterosexual acts, 6 are homosexual acts, and 4 of the abuse cases, the sex of the child is not given. We have just noted a few examples in this excerpt and have the website listed in the source section, this excerpt is part one of a three part report) Children are often taught in school to look out for adults who might hurt them. But sometimes, the grown-ups in their own classrooms are the ones who could do the most harm. Sexual misconduct by educators is a sensitive subject that's been whispered about in school hallways and behind closed office doors. A lack of public acknowledgement has helped the problem to spread and the bad teachers to circulate. It's a problem that resonates nationally. Joseph Doherty, resigned under pressure after being accused of sexually assaulting a student in 1997. He relocated and was able to get a teaching job in Maryland even though school officials had sent his case to the (Maryland) state department of education for review. Doherty got a teaching job in Prince George's County, Md. Doherty had been secretly videotaped by his former school who had become suspicious of his behavior. On tape, he was seen engaged in what he called "wrestling moves" with a 12-year-old boy in his locked classroom. Even though prosecutors argued that Doherty was obviously sexually aroused in the videotape, the district justice decided that no crime had been committed. Doherty has filed a civil lawsuit against his former School district, claiming they defamed his character. Gary Serio taught elementary school in Westmoreland County in the early 1970s' before being sent to prison in 1974 for child molestation. His license to teach in Pennsylvania wasn't revoked until last year (1998), because he was once again convicted of molesting three boys in his new school in New York. Justin Kelly was 13 years old in La Porte, Texas, when his homeroom teacher and football coach molested him. Justin, now 18, is suing the Nebraska school district that earlier had allowed the same teacher to resign quietly after he was accused of misconduct there. The Post-Gazette has examined 727 cases across the U.S. in which an educator has lost his or her license for sex offenses during the past 5 years, and has found some disturbing trends. Among them: The number of teachers who have lost their licenses because of sex offenses has increased nearly 80% since 1994. Several of those who lost their licenses were caught only after they had been molesting students for many years. Offending teachers sometimes get help landing another teaching job from a unexpected source - their former bosses. The practice is so well-known among educators that they refer to it by name. They call it "passing the trash." Some states do no background checks on teacher applicants at all. In England, the age of homosexual consent was lowered to 16 by Parliament in 1997 as a direct result of a law filed against the government. In summary judgment, the European Court of Human Rights supported a young gay man's claim that the current age of consent laws (age 18 for homosexual sex) were an infringement on his "right to respect his private life." 2000 & Above

"Federal prosecutions of internet child pornographers have increased 10% every year since 1995, we now prosecute approximately 400 such cases per year just in our federal courts," said Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder. In 1995, the FBI launched it's undercover operation, Innocent Images on the Internet. In 1999 there were a total of 1,497 new cases opened by this operation alone. According to the US Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Statistics Report, Sex Offenses and Offenders, written in 1997, convicted rape and sexual assault offenders serving time in State prisons report that two-thirds of their victims were under the age of 18, and 58% of those said that their victims were aged 12 years old or younger. Almost 60% of these rapes or sexual assaults took place in the victim's home or at the home of a friend, relative or neighbor. In 1997 a survey of the 234,000 inmates who were serving time in prison for some from of sex assault on a child, 15% of those raped were under the age of 12 and another 29% of rape victims were between 12 and 17. 95% of those incarcerated for sexual abuse on a child report that they suffered sexual or physical abuse as children. Only 3% of the persons convicted of committing a sexual assault crime against a child are female. Nearly a third of the persons imprisoned for a crime against a child have no prior criminal record but the average offender reported that he had 258 child victims before his first arrest. Children between the ages of 7 and 13 appear to be at the highest risk for sexual abuse. However, more and more cases of sexual abuse of children under the age of 6 are now being reported. 80% of the victims of child sexual assault are male but there are an increasing amount of males reporting to have been abused. It has been estimated that 50-90% of child sexual assaults are never reported. Those inmates who had attacked children age 12 or younger accounted for almost 90% of state prisoners serving time for child abuse, more than 50% of those were convicted of forcible sodomy. A couple of recent cases that demonstrate the problem are the following: 1. Police removed 3 pick-up loads of child pornography from a home in Bristow, OK. on September of 1999. This in the form of pictures, images stored on computer disks and videos of children having sex with the 53 year old resident of the home. 2. A 19 year old Vermont camp counselor was arrested in August of 1999 after he posted online that he was looking for photos of "young, white [10-13] boys" and offered pictures of "naked boys, ages 9-14, from a summer camp." police found thousands of images of child pornography in his possession. Homosexual activist commonly put forth the fact that Hitler targeted homosexuals for extermination - just as he did the Jews. "Not so," says Stephan Ross, the Newton resident who is the founder of the Holocaust Museum in Boston (Mass). He should know. Ross was there. He lived, and almost died, in Nazi prison camps from the age of 9 to 14. While the abuse by the Nazis took many forms, he says he was sexually molested more than once by homosexual Nazi prison guards. He knew it was also going on with other prisoners. He estimates that about 20% of those guarding Jewish prisoners were homosexual. Ross's (first) sexual abuse came at the hands of a guard who intercepted him and made him "do his dick." Ross continued "Other times they would beat you and then make you do that [perform oral sex]." Ross is most furious about those who he says are trying to twist or deny the reality of what happened in the camps. Ross says he has nothing against homosexuals in general (he just wants the truth to be told). A 95-year-old man, Ellef J. Ellefson, convicted of child molestation and deemed as an "untreatable pedophile" will be committed indefinitely to a mental hospital for sexual offenders. Wisconsin prosecutor William Hanrahan said "He has a longtime pattern of offending, from 1937 when he was a Boy Scout leader to the present when he molested three boys in 1990." Ellefson has been convicted of six sex offenses against children since 1937. As a Boy Scout troop leader, he was first convicted of molesting boys in his charge. In 1952, he was convicted of improper liberties with the privates of a minor. In 1959, Ellefson was convicted of two counts of sexual perversion and indecent behavior with a child. In 1981, at age 70, he was convicted of lewd and lascivious behavior with a minor. Court documents state he lured two girls, ages 7 and 10, into an isolated area where he pulled down his pants and exposed his genitals to them. In 1984, he was convicted of one count of first-degree sexual assault. In that case, court records state Ellefson took off his clothes and climbed into bed with a 4-year-old girl and molest her. While on parole again in 1990, after a psychologist concluded he was unlikely to re-offend, at the age of 86, Ellefson struck again. Ellefson was convicted of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old developmentally disabled boy. But records from the attorney general's office state he also befriended and molested two 4-year-old boys. Under Wisconsin's 1994 Sexually Violent Persons Law, 200 convicted sex offenders have been committed indefinitely to mental hospitals. Most of those confined are pedophiles with multiple convictions or violent sexual assaults on children. The majority of the assaults were on children acquainted with the offender. The Bureau of Justice Statistics' National Crime Victimization Survey shows: Overall, 10% of reported victims of rape or sexual assault are male. There was one reported rape or sexual assault for every 5,000 boys age 12 or older in 1994. Nearly all arrestees for rape in 1995 were male (99%), while about 8% of those arrested for other sex offenses, such as lewd acts with children, fondling and molestation, were female. Surveys of adults conducted over the past 20 years suggest that adolescents are the victims in 90 to 95% of all sex crimes against males. Men were the perpetrators in 80% of the cases. Experts agree that their is an under reporting of male sex abuse. Kathleen C. Faller, a professor of social work at the University of Michigan, is a prosecution consultant on child molestation who has been studying victims and perpetrators of 22 years. She recently looked at 50 male victims; 23 were between 10 and 17 years old when the abuse began. Of the 323 sexual offenders she studied, only 5 were women, and only 1 of them molested an adolescent boy. Faller's findings are to be published in the summer of 2000 in "Child Abuse and Neglect". Kenneth V. Lanning, supervisory special agent at FBI Academy at Quantico, Va., said " There is no human being on the face of the earth who is easier to seduce into sexual activity [than] an adolescent boy, because they are aggressively interested in sex." Pedophiles who stalk the internet trying to lure children into sexual relationships should face mandatory prison terms, two federal lawmakers say. "Tragically, in increasing numbers, children are being victimized by cyber-molesters," says Rep. Bob franks, R-N.J., "The FBI reports a 550% in these cases over the last two years. Even when law enforcement is successful in catching these criminals, they are often given lenient sentences." Most offenders are well-educated, middle-class men between 25 and 55 years old, most of whom have no previous criminal record. "Individuals who are convicted of producing child pornography are given far stiffer sentences than those who lure innocent children into sexual encounters," said Frank. Julie Posey, director of www.pedowatch.org, said that she has seen pedophiles go right online once they are released from prison - and even some of those accused who make bail resume their cyber stalking while they are awaiting trail. "They continue to use their networks they have already set up to harm even more children," said Posey. "The internet...provides a new tool for child molesters (to find) loopholes in the current law (which) allows some of these predators to escape without any real consequences," said the other representative, Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky, "Yesterday's child molesters are today's cyber-molesters." Their proposed law would included a FBI training center to catch Internet pedophiles, dubbed the Innocent Images Online Training Center, would be located in Calverton, Md. Cyber-molesters often get a break because they are mainly white, middle and upper-middle class men and don't appear to be pedophiles. Alfred Kinsey, the greatest American sexologist of all time, was observing, recording and, last but not least, having sex - a lot of sex. Jonathon Gathorne-Hardy's new biography " Sex the Measure of All Things," so shamelessly discloses, (Kinsey was) hung like a horse. He continued to masturbate all his life, and even engaged in more esoteric perversions, including "tea-room trade" (oral homosexual sex) in public johns, genital mutilation, self-circumcision and his favorite sexual pastime, urethral insertion, a practice that involved sticking objects in one's penis. Kinsey as a sexologist, amassed thousands of sexual histories including prostitutes and pedophiles. He not only observed all kind of prohibited sex, but participated in it. He even, in the case of a mildly homophobic interviewer he employed, summoned the man to his hotel room in order to provide him with a firsthand demonstration of gay sex with another colleague. But perhaps his most enduring legacy as a sexologist was his campaign on behalf of homosexuals. He almost single-handedly laid the foundations for gay liberation, decrying anti-sodomy laws as early as the 1940s and advocating tolerance for pederasts. Citizens of Latvia, a nation with 9% unemployment rate, have something to discuss besides the lack of jobs. Russian news sources report that Latvian politicians are less concerned with the country's economy and more interested in having sex with young hairless boys. For the past year, Latvia has been in a pedophilia scandal that has reached the highest levels of government. Even the Prime Minster, Andris Skele, resigned after being named a suspect. The scandal first erupted in September 1999, when a teenage (boy) appeared on national television and accused prominent politicians of "sexual harassment." According to the program, a pornography dealer supplied young boys to its' governmental leaders. Arrests were made for producing porn videos and supplying minors to homosexual clients, but the prosecutor general's office dragged its investigation on government officials. Then in Parliament, commission chairman, Yanis Adamson, stood up and named some government officials who were involved in the case. The prosecutor general's office got mad with the chairman and was going to open a criminal case against him on charges of "insult to honor and dignity." Adamson smelled a cover-up, so he named all the officials involved and gave special attention to Juris Zalitis, who happens to be the director of the Gereral Prosecutor's Office Administrative Department. An Alabama fugitive wanted on sexual abuse charges is under arrest in Texas after he was shot while delivering pizzas. Wilbur Lee Ellision, who has eluded capture since 1996, was arrested Monday on a federal warrant charging him with traveling interstate for the purpose of engaging in a sexual act with a juvenile. In addition, Ellison is wanted in Alabama on three charges of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of first-degree sodomy, an FBI spokesman said. "In March 1996, Ellison allegedly traveled from Shelby County, Ala., to Jacksonville, Fla., with two of his own children and three others from the neighborhood. The children ranged in age from 8 to 13 years at the time. He allegedly had sexual contact with at least one of the juveniles," said Graig Dahie, an FBI special agent in the Birmingham field office. Ellison, 43, has been living in Port Arthur, Texas, under the name Timothy Moore and had a job delivering pizzas. He was shot and seriously wounded on the job during a robbery. The Commissioner of Education (Massachusetts), David Driscoll, has apologized for the explicit teaching of homosexual sex (now known as "fistgate") to teenagers at a conference which was sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GSLEN), at Tufts University on March 25, 2000. Earlier, Deputy Commissioner, Alan Safran, said "This piece of graphic discussion is beyond the scope of what we're about...That won't happen again." J. Edward Pawlick, Publisher of Massachusetts News, said "This is a very important event. ...the establishment tried to brand us as 'right-wing, homophobic kooks.' But if that's true, then 90% of the citizens are also of that persuasion." Pawlick continued, "now it is clear to everyone that we have a serious problem in the state." Although the conference was secretly taped on March 25th by Scott Whiteman of the Parents' Rights Coalition, he could not get any interest from anyone in the establishment. Commissioner Driscoll told Whiteman at a Board of Education meeting that this type of conduct by the state is not a "parents' rights" issue. A physician from South Hadly, John R. Diggs, spoke on a radio talk show and told the listeners that the sexual practices that were urged for teenagers to engage in, some as young as 12-years, will cause irreparable damage to the internal organs of the body. Deputy Commissioner Safran also appeared on the same radio show and said many times that this was a federal program and the state was not involved. "This is bogus," said Brian Camenker, President of the Parents' Rights Coalition, " because state and federal monies are so blended together that no one knows where the money is coming from. The homosexual group (GLSEN) which sponsored the conference receives money from both the federal and state government. You'd have to be a CPA to know where the money for this conference 'came from.' Safran also said that because this was on a Saturday, the schools were not involved. But children were bussed to this event from Gay/Straight Alliances all over the state. The teachers who attended this event received credit for it from the state. The state clearly had a part in sponsoring and supporting this conference." The homosexual organization (GLSEN) told the Boston Globe that it was illegal for Whiteman to tape the event and the organization stood behind the discussions. "The students were asking questions, they are assured anonymity...it would have been irresponsible not to answer them. The instructors allowed the students to talk about their issues and get good, accurate information." "We've all seen people like this," said Camenker. "We used to call them 'dirty old men.' They would love to sit around and talk dirty with young children. Now we pay them to do it and we put them in our schools." WorldNetDaily reported that various organizations had set up tables in the hallways to distribute male and female condoms and other sexual paraphernalia. The Sindey Borum Community Health Center, for example, was handing out "Pocket Sex" kits, which included two condoms, two antiseptic moist towelettes and six (6) bandages. According to the teen who was handing out the sex kits, the bandages were for "when the sex got really rough." Publisher Pawlick said "at the time, the state denied that it was encouraging sexual activity, but everyone knows better. It is now abundantly clear that they are doing so. Kinsey's fraudulent sexuality data justified sexual abuse of children and "sex education" - like the recent conference when Massachusetts teachers trained children in sodomy and "fisting." There is also a successful ongoing media and classroom campaign to manipulate many, if not most, children into "bi/gay youth." A recent report from Seventeen Magazine claims that 54% of teens polled in 1999 (versus 17% polled in 1991) now find homosexuality admissible: "Teens today are likely to experiment: 21%...have fantasized about fooling around with someone of the same sex - 15% say they have actually done so." Establishment media and sex educators in the classroom both vigorously promote juvenile homosexual experimentation while suppressing the darker data on inter-gay violence - data on men and boys battered and killed by sex clients, pickups, prostitutes and "lovers." The press suppresses police reports of raids and arrests of men preying on boys. Such a child-protection expose cannot be tolerated by gay-tolerance spokespersons. It would indeed be "just plain bad press" were parents alerted to the increasing gay danger lurking in all their children's lives. An assistant scoutmaster has been charged in the placing of three young boys in bondage and the cutting of a large letter T on each of their chests with a folding knife while they were tied to trees during an overnight camping trip. John T. Levendosky II of Derry Borough was arrested after police raided his home. Police said a search of the home produced a knife matching a description given by the boys, rope, elastic bandages, a paddle and pornography dealing with bondage. Police said Mr. Levendosky, 52, confessed to the assaults and told them he did it because he was fascinated by bondage and that it made him sexually aroused. The boys - ages 11, 12, and 13 - are from the Derry Township area and members of Mr. Levendosky's troop. Police said there is no evidence that the camp out was an authorized Boy Scout activity. The incident violated Scout policy of having two leaders present for all activities. Source: Ernie Hoffman, "Man held in abuse of Scouts," Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, June 14, 2000.

We know that approximately 1 out of 6 of all American boys are molested by the time they reach 18 years of age. We do not know how many of these boys are molested by teachers and others in position of authority. Part of the answer may lie in the fact that an estimated 50% of all molestations, male and females combined, are never reported. It is also estimated that only 10% of molested boys ever make such reports. Many of those unreported molestations of boys are suspected to be at the hands of a teacher, educator and/or other person in position of authority. Why don't boys report when they are sexually abused? The unwillingness of boys to report when they've been sexually victimized is even greater when the perpetrator is a teacher, educator and/or other person in authority. When one is victimized by a teacher, or other person in a position of authority, the sense of betrayal is greatly magnified. Betrayal is a very difficult event to recover from. Betrayal leaves the victim with a sense of guilt. The severe lack of trust of those in authority positions leads to major difficulties in therapeutic treatment for the survivor. It quite often takes an incredible amount of pain and failure for males sexually abused in these ways to speak up. Bouts of alcoholism, drug abuse, sexual acting out, sexual shutting down, divorces and financial ruin are common. Let adults know that it is never too late to heal (men and women in their 70's have come forward for the first time in their lives and have successfully healed from childhood sexual abuse) and that help is available. One person can make a difference! Together with other "one persons" sexual abuse by educators can be stopped and those who have been victimized can heal! Source: Stephen L. Authorities may have found one victim and are searching for others who as youths may have been photographed engaging in sexually explicit acts by a Severna Park man more than a decade ago. Robb Walker Freeman, 61, formerly of the 600 block of Old County Road, was convicted in April, 2000 of possession of child pornography. Last year, investigators from the Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit and U.S. Customs Service found thousands of Polaroid photo's inside Freeman's home. Trooper Art Schroeder said, "We'd like to identify these individuals who are in this photo album because they are victims of his and we (want to know) whether he had any sexual contact with them." CPR talked with Schroeder who told us that there were over 200 photo's of boys they believe lived in Severna Park or Anne Arundel County (Maryland). Freeman has a long history of arrests related to child molestation dating back to 1962, when he was arrested by the Annapolis Police Department and charged with "fooling with a young male child." In 1984, Freeman was convicted on third-degree sex offense charge after he molested a young boy in Baltimore's Curtis Bay community. His 5-year prison sentence was suspended and he was given three years probation. The boy was 6 years old. The photographs showed boys who were likely between the ages of 5 and 13 engaged in various sexual acts and believed to be taken in the 1970s and 1980s. Freeman arrest came about a year after U.S. Customs agents discovered his activities over the Internet, which led them to his Severna Park home. "He's part of a network of pedophiles that were operating throughout the country and trading child pornography," said Schroeder. At the time of the incidents Freeman worked as a volunteer firefighter in Severna Park and had a business servicing video and pinball machines. A federal judge has barred Virginia from enforcing a law intended to protect children from "harmful" Internet material. U.S. District Judge J. Harry Micheal Jr. said the law, which makes it a crime to use the internet to sell or otherwise provide sexually explicit pictures or written material to juveniles that could harm them, violates the First Amendment. The judge agreed with the nonprofit People for the American Way and 16 Internet businesses which challenged the law. "The effort by Virginia to try to restrict the Internet - making it so it can have only materials fit for children - is presumptively illegal," said Elliot Mincberg, legal director of People for the American Way. The law was passed in 1999 and no one has been charged under the law, which carries a maximum sentence of a year in jail and a $2,500 fine. Del. Robert G. Marshall, R-Prince William, and sponsor of the legislation, said it was intended to prevent commercial Web sites from selling pornographic material to children. "The judge wants pedophiles and pornographers to have free rein on our kids," Marshall said. The suit challenging the law was filed in federal court in Alexandria but was thrown out last November without a hearing on its merits. The case was refiled in Michael's court in December. Dozens of law enforcement, prosecution and justice officials from Maryland listen to a presentation about investigating Internet sex predators. The Internet during the past 10 years has created "a haven for sex offenders." FBI Special Agent Lynne Hunt said 181 Internet sex-predator cases were opened in 1996, compared with 1,001 opened thus far this year. She said the FBI has 15 nationwide field offices working on crimes she called "just horrendous" and "just frightening." FBI conviction rate is over 90%. The typical offender is a white male professional, between 25 and 45 years old, middle-to upper-class, and with access to or involved with children. Children between the ages of 12 and 15, both female and male, are most frequently victimized. Males don't report the crimes because of a stigma, and many times females have fallen in love with the perpetrator. Source: H.J. Brier, "Police say Internet makes sex crimes probes tough," The Montgomery Journal, August, 2000.

Jeffery Dahmer, whose sex-fueled orgy of murder stocked the nation, sat down after his arrest with an FBI special agent on August 13, 1992 and went over his crimes in lurid detail. He spoke openly about his homosexuality and his alcoholism, how he trolled the gay bars of Milwaukee and Chicago for victims, how he would drug and kill the men and boys he picked up - 17 in all - and how his sexual cravings turned to murder, necrophilia, cannibalism and actions so morbid that even members of the jury that convicted him needed follow-up counseling. "it was not a case of hating them," Dahmer said, "...It gave me a sense of total control and increased the sexual trill... I could do with them as I wished." The transcript covers 40 pages of Dahmer's 1,155 page FBI file, obtained by APBnews.com through a Freedom of Information Act request. Dahmer's crimes went beyond the imagination. " Everybody knew it was a big deal, just because of the sheer number of body parts in the apartment," said Lisa Holewa, a reporter who covered the story from start to finish for the Associated Press (AP), "It made you realize you don't know what people are capable of, what goes on behind closed doors." The night he was caught, two police officers went to his Milwaukee apartment and soon discovered photographs of mutilated bodies in a dresser drawer and preserved skulls in the freezer. Three headless torsos were discovered in a 55-gallon drum. And there were Polaroid photos of corpses in various states of decay. In all 17 cases, Dahmer told the interviewers, his victims came consensually, most of them having been picked up at gay bars, bathhouses or adult bookstores. Dahmer's father told a reporter that a neighborhood boy had sexually assaulted Jeffery when he was 8, but Dahmer does not mention it in the FBI interview. In his fantasies, he would have total control; he talked about one fantasy of striking someone with a blackjack and having sex with the body. Heavy drinking would soon become both his escape and the fuel of his gruesome fantasies. His first victim was Steven Hicks who Dalmer killed because he didn't want to have sex. Dahmer told police he got angry and smashed Hicks in the back of the head with a barbell and later choked him to death. Then, he said, he had sex with the Hick's corpse, and cut the body open to examine it. Dahmer ended up smashing the corpse with a sledgehammer and scattering the remains throughout a wooded lot. In 1991, he drew a map to show police where the parts were buried - "You don't forget your first one," Dahmer told them - and a search turned up more than 500 pieces of bone. Stationed in Germany, Dahmer said he discovered a more graphic type of pornography - the first he'd ever seen "with the orientation I have." After returning home, he began picking up gay men in Milwaukee and Chicago. He went to great lengths to satisfy his sexual desires. Between 1988 to his arrest in 1991, Dahmer killed 15 boys or men. They were all good-looking gay men, from teens (14) to their early 30s. He would typically pick up his victim and take him home for sex - in some cases he offered money in exchange for taking photos - and then drug him. Once he had the body he so craved, his sexual desires would be unleashed. He had sex with and masturbated on the (dead) bodies. Dahmer would keep the bodies for several days. At some point the killing, the necrophilia, the keeping of human mementos wasn't enough. He felt he needed more. It was then, with Rick Beets, perhaps his sixth or seventh victim, that Dahmer turned to cannibalism. Police had many chances to catch him before his arrest in 1991. In 1988, police searched his apartment after he was accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy which led to his first conviction. In 1990, Dahmer lured a 15-year-old-boy into his apartment with plans to kill him. The boy escaped and went to police, but Dahmer was never questioned about it. But the most infamous police failure came on May 27, 1991, when two women found a naked boy, dazed and bleeding, staggering on the street outside Dahmer's apartment. The boy, who turned out to be 14-year-old Konerak Sinthasomphone, had escaped from Dahmer's apartment. By the time Dahmer caught up with him, the women had found him and called police. The police reported the incident as a domestic squabble between homosexual lovers and left the boy with Damher. Dahmer would kill him and four more men before finally being caught. The FBI made a second child pornography bust in as many days, this time collaring the owner of four group homes for troubled teens. Myer Nevitt, 49, of Royal Palm Beach was arrested after agents learned from an informant that he allegedly collected illegal pictures of young boys on his home computer. Executing a search warrant, agents allegedly found 300 diskettes in the suspect's office containing hundreds more photos of juveniles - some under the age of 12 - engaged in sexual activity. Navitt had more than a dozen children under 18 that he was paid by the state to care for in residences he operated. Although there is no evidence so far of inappropriate contact with the boys, agents said child sexual abuse is a real possibility given Nevitt's alleged interests and his proximity to a potential victim pool. Customs spokesman Zach Mann said "a single man living with a house full of boys and he's being arrested for child pornography. A fox in a chicken coop is a good analogy." A coalition of groups protesting Boy Scouts of America's (BSA) policy of not accepting homosexual leaders and members chose a convicted child molester to lead it. John Hemstreet - an alcoholic, former Boy Scout leader, former priest and convicted child molester - told WorldNetDaily he is an example of the type of person who should be permitted to be a Boy Scout leader. Indeed, he said he was a great scoutmaster. President of the Toledo, Ohio, chapters of Parents and Friends of lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) and Scouting for All, Hemstreet organized a protest demonstration on Monday in front of the Eric Shores Boy Scouts of America Council. Hemstreet admits to being a homosexual and a child molester. In 1992, he confessed to molesting a 10-year-old boy. He did not respond to a question regarding whether homosexual men are more likely to be child molesters than heterosexual men. Nor did he directly answer whether BSA should exclude homosexuals in an effort to reduce the molestation to scouts. Hemstreet also doesn't think his past should reflect on the efforts of his group - or his cause. The protest was sponsored by Scouting for All, PFLAG and the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), Hemstreet said. Source: David M. A Slidell-area woman was booked on warrants for aggravated incest, indecent behavior with a juvenile, improper supervision, pandering and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. The Times-Picayune is not naming the woman to protect the girl's identity. "She has allegedly been training her daughter to perform sexual acts and to expose herself on the internet via a computer-linked camera," said Leslie Cooke, a spokeswoman for the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office. "She also allegedly provided her daughter with alcohol and narcotics to lessen the child's inhibitions when performing on camera." The mother also may face federal child pornography charges after the FBI presents the case to U.S. Attorney's office in New Orleans. The investigation led to the indictment of a Baltimore man named Joseph Ceprge Demerest IV. FBI agents tracked him down and searched his home in June, finding undisclosed evidence linking him to the girl's mother. FBI agent Will Hatcher said child pornography is a rapidly growing problem on the internet. "Child pornography is also legal in some foreign countries, which makes our job that much harder," he said. I think it's great that homosexual political activists from coast to coast have shown their true colors in targeting the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) as the force of all evil in the world. Take, for example, Toledo Blade columnist Roberta deBoer, who did a positive story about John Hemstreet. This chapter leader headed a protest against the BSA was identified as a longtime Scout leader, former Catholic priest and "gay man" by Ms. deBoer. What she did not say about Mr. Hemstreet, however, was that he is a convicted child molester. Only when deBoer's readers made her aware of this criminal's history did the columnist do a mea culpa under the headline, "Right protest under the wrong leader." In other words, Hemstreet is right. He's just not the best spokesman for his cause. Well, I disagree. I say he is absolutely the right spokesman. Let's get a grip. One of the reasons homosexuals want so desperately to be Boy Scout troop leaders is because some of them would love to have an opportunity to molest children and recruit more future homosexuals. That's right, I said it. I'm not going to tiptoe through the tulips about this. Some homosexuals want to be around children for one reason - to prey on them. DeBoer, on the other hand, insists "too many people make the mistake of confusing pedophilia with homosexuality, as if the former is somehow an automatic result of the latter." No, it's not automatic, by any stretch of the imagination. But let's not pretend there is no link, either. In fact, according to some studies, at least a third of all reported child molestations involves homosexual acts. The percentage of homosexuals in the general population is probably between 2 to 4%. What that means is homosexuals are between 12 times to 16 times more likely to molest a child sexually. Furthermore, one study in Psychological Reports, published in 1985, found that teachers (or those in authority over children) who are homosexual are between 90 to 100 times more apt to involve themselves sexually with pupils than teachers who are heterosexual. On August 14 (2000), John Leader, 37, a Hereford (Maryland) Recreation Council coach was arrested and charged with a perverted sex acts and child abuse of a boy who he coached. Because Leader had contact with many children as a coach, Baltimore County Police (BCP) said they are looking for other possible victims. According to the statement of charges filed, the abused occurred over the past 2 years. The victim, now 16, first met Leader in 1996. The abuse allegedly began 2 years later. The boy told members of the Family Crimes Unit of BCP that the abuse occurred at Leader's home from 1998 until September 1999, when the boy stopped it. The boy also told police that while he was in 8th grade, Leader said he would punish him with a sexual act for any C on his report card. After receiving two C's on one particular report card, the boy hid it from Leader. The boy's mother said Leader called and asked her to fax a copy of the report card to him, so he could sign the boy up for baseball league. The boy was then punished with a sexual act three times - twice for the two C's and once for hiding the report card. The police monitored a phone call from the victim to Leader during which the alleged abuse was discussed. The (police) statement said "Suspect [Leader] agreed to the allegations and stated, it was [the victim] that wanted, to do these things, not me. Suspect Leader never denied these allegations that the victim made and in fact he acknowledge them." This was not the first time Leader has been charged with child abuse. A 1992 Baltimore City case filed in Maryland District Court charged Leader with child abuse, 3rd - and 4th - degree sexual offences and battery. That case was never prosecuted. Those earlier charges were never discovered by Hereford Recreation Council because background checks are not conducted on volunteer coaches. A computer seized from accused pedophile Christopher Reardon's office at a Middleton church contained "in excess of 1,000" images of child pornography as well as "documents listing hundreds of children's names." Reardon's church computer contained "documents listing hundreds of children's names, their ages, and various descriptions of genital areas." A similar "computer generated" list with names of more than 300 local boys known to Reardon, along with pornographic tapes, child pornography and sexual devices, was seized from his home. Reardon, 28, was indicted last month on 122 counts alleging he systematically targeted and molested pre-pubescent boys through his jobs at the YMCA and as a youth ministry worker at St. Anges Parish in Middleton. There is an "ongoing" grand jury probe that could bring additional child molestation charges against him. While under attack by homosexual activist groups...the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is now being assailed from the exact opposite direction - with legal charges that it hasn't done enough to protect scouts from sexual predators...a federal judge has tied the two issues together by saying BSA should fully expect that scouting will attract pedophiles. "We're going to be seeking millions of dollars against the Boy Scouts because they knew better," attorney Charles A. Bonner told the San Diego Union-Tribune. Bonner filed the case for his client, Mario Juarez, who was molested by his assistant scoutmaster, Jorge Paz, in 1990. Paz is now serving a 14-year sentence at San Quentin State Prison for repeatedly molesting Jaurez and 9 other boys in 1990 in Troop 225 of Oakland, California. The BSA child sexual abuse prevention program includes a video, booklet and training classes for leaders, parents and boys. The program teaches that anyone can be a child molester and boys are taught the 3 Rs - recognize, resist, and report. The rules require that at least two adults are always present - "two-deep leadership" - and that adults do not sleep in the same tent or cabin with boys. Most child molesters break those rules, said spokesman for the BSA, Greg Shields. The current BSA training program began in 1988. There were 169 scout leaders dropped for child molestation in 1987, which increased to 209 in 1989 after the training began. Paz violated BSA rules by frequently taking boys to activities without a second adult present and he also slept in the same tent with boys, according to Jaurez's lawsuit. Recently, a professional staff administrator for the BSA office in San Diego, Calif., was arrested for molesting a large number of Boy Scouts between 1997 and 1999. Glenn Jordan has been charged with 33 counts of child molestation so far. Robert Malcomb, Jr., a former scoutmaster in Oklahoma, pleaded guilty on August 25, 2000 to 61 charges of having had sex with 5 boys under the age of 14, as well as multiple counts of rape, forcible oral sodomy, lewd acts with children and bestiality. His wife turned him in after she caught him molesting a 12-year-old boy in their home. There have been similar cases in Louisiana and Oregon. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is stepping in to defend a group that advocates sex between men and boys against a federal lawsuit filed by the family of a murdered 10-year-old boy. The family of Jeffery Curley of Cambridge, Mass., has filed a lawsuit that claims the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) and its Web site incited the molestation and murder of their son on October 1, 1997. "It's a clear civil liberties issue," said Harvey Silverglate, an ACLU board member, noting that NAMBLA had been having trouble finding a lawyer. Silverglate said the decision to represent NAMBLA had been made by an "overwhelming vote" of the local ACLU board. One of the two men convicted in the murder, Charles Jaynes, 25, allegedly viewed the group's Web site shortly before the murder, and also had in his possession some of NAMBLA's publications. A message on the answering machine of NAMBLA describes the organization that "speaks out against societal oppression and celebrates the joys of men and boys in love." ACLU officials say that NAMBLA argues for changes in society's views about consensual sex between adults and minors and a lowering of the age of consent. It's illegal in Massachusetts to have sex with a child under 16. Attorney Lawrence Frisoli, who represents the Curleys, said he believes that NAMBLA had stepped over the line from advocacy into actually participating in crimes. Frisoli claimed that evidence in the lawsuit would show that NAMBLA staff assist its members in raping children by educating them on how to locate victims, how to gain their trust and confidence, and how to avoid law enforcement so they won't get caught. Prosecutors said that the two men were obsessed with the boy, and lured him from his home with the promise of a new bike, then smothered him with a gasoline-soaked rag when he resisted their sexual advances. Janyes allegedly molested the boy's lifeless body. They then stuffed him into a concrete-filled container and dumped it into the Maine river. Source: Martin Finucans - Associated Press, "Mass. ACLU to represent group that advocates sex between men and boys," The Boston Globe, August 31, 2000.

Charges were announced against four men accused of soliciting a Frankfort (Germany) teen (boy) for sex via the internet. Aggravated criminal sex abuse charges were filed against all four, and in addition, Dave P. Thomas, 33, of Chicago, was charged with indecent solicitation of a child. The charges stem from a two month investigation by police. Mr. Thomas also allegedly met the youth on multiple occasions to perform sexual acts. Thomas was arrested July 5 and indicted on July 19 for allegedly arranging to meet with the youth (boy), who is 13 to 16. Thomas is membership chair for the Chicago Chapter of the Gay, Lesbian, & Straight Education Network (GLSEN) and is a social worker with an Evanston public school district. On a recent trip to Washington, D.C., I made a visit to Dupont Circle. After viewing that scene, I went to a far less attractive side of homosexual nightlife. There was a bath house in a string of buildings. Men waited at the door for admission into what was described to me as "a dark abyss from which few escape." Next to the bath house was a club that youth are known to frequent. My guide pointed out a young man sitting on a wall in front of the club. He was the wholesome-looking boy-next-door type. He looked to be about sixteen and was talking to 2 men who appeared to be in their 50s. Soon the young man was walking away with the 2 older men. Then they all got into a car. He had just sold himself to those 2 men for the night. I am not naive and have seen a lot of dehumanizing things in my life, but I had never seen a child prostitute. I cannot get him out of my mind and I hope I never do. The reality of his life is forcing me out of my complacency. Hopefully one day our culture will wake up to the fact that when we affirm homosexuality, we are sending our own children into the "dark abyss from which few escape." Baltimore County police arrested and charged a Timonium man with multiple counts of solicitation and possession of child pornography. The investigation of Micheal Charles Thompson, 29, began August 10, when detectives arrived at his home with a search warrant in an unrelated matter. While in Thompson's home, investigators noticed "clearly marked" as homemade child pornography, said police spokeswoman Cpl. Vickie Warehime. Police believe Thompson would lure boys to his house, offering them money, drugs, and alcohol in exchange for filming sex acts. 5 victims from the tapes have been identified, police said. They range in age from 15-17 years old. Police believe the tapes date back at least three years. A Naval Criminal Services Report was also confiscated from Thompson's home, court documents attest. The report, dated October 1993, details an investigation of Thompson for inviting a 15-year-old boy to his room where the boy was asked to perform a sex act. For the record, children cannot legally consent to sex. Now that we've straightened that out, could we call a halt to the whisper campaign against Charles Horton's victim (a molested boy)? An unpopular decision is never a good reason to remove a judge from the bench. A smear campaign against a child, however, is more than a cause for removal. Not to do so would validate judicial contempt for laws designed to protect our children. Judge Marie Lopez says "mitigating circumstances" prompted her to release Horton on probation but judicial ethics prohibit her from revealing them. Nothing, however, apparently prohibits her from inviting wild public speculation about a boy who was 11 when Horton lured him into a car, held a screwdriver to his neck, and demanded oral sex. Despite what Lopez's supporters would have us believe, those facts are not in dispute. Mr. Holton pleaded guilty to kidnapping, indecent assault, attempted rape of a child, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. There is only one victim in this case. It's the boy, not the judge and not the defendant, who thinks he's being targeted because he's transgendered. "Some participants have reported that in the chambers the judge was informed, off the record, that the assailant and the 12-year-old youngster were well-known to each other, (and) that the child was fairly street-wise [not thereby any less deserving of protection but possibly able to protect himself from random attack than his chronological age might suggest]" said another judge. Do we want judges to have separate standards for "street-wise" children? Does the judge think a victim's acquaintance with a rapist is a mitigating factor? Should we, therefore, release all pedophile priests who knew the altar boys they raped? Does Judge Lopez think 10-year-old Jeffery Curley was culpable in his own murder because he knew his killers? A husband and wife are charged with molesting two teenagers who were baby-sitting the couple's young children according to police. Adam and Denise Keenan, both 25, were arrested when police discovered their sexual encounters with 13-year-old girl and her 15-year-old brother, said Sarasota (Fla.) police. The Keenans allegedly molested both youths last month at the couple's home. The Keenans allegedly asked the 13-year-old girl to come into their bedroom and watch them have sex before Adam Keenan had sex with the girl. Denise Keenan allegedly French-kissed the 15-year-old boy and put his hands on her breasts during a game of "truth or Dare", she also sent the boy love letters. A Syracuse, New York man is facing up to 20 years in prison for allegedly ordering a woman in Pennsylvania to send him online pictures of her having sex with her 7-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son. The case came to light after the woman's husband discovered his wife having an affair with the Syracuse man and a videotape of his wife having sex with her 10 year-old son while her 7-year old daughter took photographs, an FBI agent said in an affidavit. The woman transmitted the sexually explicit images via e-mail and with an online digital movie camera. Investigators said that the woman referred to the man as "master" and he directed her sexual activities. Source: ABPnews.com, "Man accused of ordering woman to molest kids," September 22, 2000.

Joseph Cornelius, accused of strangling 11-year-old Scott Drake and then mutilating the boy's body, was charged Tuesday (October 3, 2000) with engaging in sex acts with the youngster on the day of the killing. Pittsburgh police filed two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and one count each of aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, kidnapping and abusing a corpse, all in connection with the boy's September 24 murder. According to an affidavit filed in support of the latest charges, Cornelius is accused of taking Scout into the wooded area, having oral sex with the boy and then restraining him until the child performed oral sex on him. He further said he sexually assaulted the boy again after killing him and then cut his chest open and removed his genitalia. Law enforcement sources said Cornelius told them he paid Scott $5 for oral sex the day before the murder. He told police he mutilated the boy to make it appear that the crime had been committed by a pedophile (it was). Police said they are certain they have arrested the right man because Cornelius gave them details related to Scott's killing that only the boy's killer would have known. Source: Johnna A. A Colorado Supreme Court ruling could free more than 100 Colorado rapists, child molesters and other sex offenders from prison has alarmed victims of sex crimes and sent law enforcement officers scrambling to undo the damage. 9 inmates were turned loose before Attorney General Ken Salazar stepped in and halted the releases. Corrections Department officials tried to calm dozens of victims fearful that their attackers were free to strike again. The court ruled that a 1993 law imposing mandatory 5-year parole sentences did not apply to sex offenders. If the ruling stands, it could free 112 sex offenders in prison for parole violations and release an additional 170 offenders from parole supervision and mandatory therapy. An additional 600 offenders could be released from prison without parole once they complete their sentences. "To release them (sex offenders) without supervision is contrary to what society needs and to what they need," said Corrections Department Director John Suthers. He said pedophilia is best controlled with mandatory therapy sessions. Source: APBnews.com, "Denver hunts freed sex offenders: 9 inmates turned loose by controversial court ruling," October 5, 2000.

A 9-year-old boy was found nude and beaten to death at a baseball field in Frederick, Maryland on Monday, November 20, 2000. A 44-year-old man was arrested for murder and police revealed that the man was just release from prison after servicing less than half his sentence for his fourth sex offense. Elmer Spencer, Jr. has a history of molesting both boys and girls over the last 25 years. However, this did not stop Maryland's correction system from releasing him early. In less than a week, Spencer, who the courts has determined to be mentally retarded, was placed back into society only to be caught on camera seducing 9-old-year Christopher Ausherman by buying him a pack of Pokeman cards at a local 7-eleven store. Officials in Massachusetts expressed shock Thursday that a convicted child molester released after being ruled no longer sexually dangerous faced charges in Montana that he butchered a 10-year-old boy and dined on the boy's cooked remains. Suspected serial killer Nathaniel Bar-Jonah, 43, is charged with murdering Zachary Ramsay, who disappeared while walking to school in 1996 in Great Falls, Montana. He is a short-order cook with a quater-century history of molesting children. During the investigation, police found some Bar-Jonah's cryptic handwritten notes that an FBI expert said contained messages like "little boy stew," "little boy pot pies," and "French fried kid." Court records of earlier therapy sessions showed that Bar-Jonah's bizarre sexual fantasies "outline methods for torture, extending to dissection and cannibalism." A caseworker in 1980 wrote that Bar-Johan "express a curiosity about the taste of human flesh." He is suspected in other disappearances and murders. Police said he kept a list of 22 victims, the last being Ramsey. Investigators looking for Ramsey's body this year dug up small bones on Bar-Jonah property, but DNA testing showed they belonged to another of the man's alleged victims. The findings have raised fears of another serial sex killer like Jeffrey Dahmer, who cannibalized 17 young men in Milwaukee before he was arrested in 1991. Prosecutor Brant S. light was upset that Massachusetts officials allowed Bar-Jonah to move with his mother to Montana in 1991, where he was charged with sexual assault on an 8-year-old boy in 1994. He is scheduled to go on trail January 16, 2001 on sex assault charges involving three other boys. Bar-Jonah spent 12 years at Bridgewater State Hospital (Massachusetts) after trying to kill two Shrewsbury boys in 1977. He was freed after four (4) mental health professionals convinced a judge he was no longer sexually dangerous. What is a Pedophile? Not all of them are child abusers, and they often believe that their victims don't really suffer. They are almost always men, but can be any age and sexual orientation. More victimize girls than boys... In 1998 the FBI opened up 700 cases dealing with online pedophilia, most for posting child pornagraphy. By 2000 that figure had quadrupled to 2,856 cases... One case began when the tip-line recieved information about a posting requesting pictures of "young, white (10-13) year-old boys."... The author of the site also offered photos of naked boys, aged 9 to 14, "from summer camp." The prepetrator was tracked to a fraternity house in Burlington, Vt., where police took over the investigation. The cops went to the frat house and found that the perpetrator, Jeremy Lacey, was spending his summer as a counselor at a boys' camp in New Hampshire. Police then obtained warrants, searched the frat house and the camp, and found 1,238 images on one of Lacey's zip drives; Late they retrieved thousands more, as well as photos of boys taken at the camp. In June last year, after pleading no contest, Lacey was sentenced to (only) three years in jail on two counts of using a child for a sexual performance. A 1988 study revealed that 22% of their sampling reported sexual abuse. They note that, contrary to what one might expect from the literature, many gay male adolescents are abused and or raped in the home, usually by an uncle or older brother, but sometimes by the father. Most blame themselves or are blamed by others because of their preference for male sexual partners. Source: Martin, A.D., & Hetrick, E. A. In 1990, V.E. Coleman surveyed 90 lesbian couples and found that 46% experienced repeated acts of violence in their relationships.

There is little information on gay and lesbian domestic violence for several reasons. First, only since 1987 have statistics regarding gay and lesbian domestic violence been collected. The San Francisco Police Department reported no fewer than 100 calls per month for gay and lesbian domestic violence in 1987. The New York City Gay and Lesbian Anti-Violence reported that 12-15% of their clients sought services there for domestic violence. Others reported figured as high as 39%. Also this report revealed that substance abuse has been empirically linked to committing acts of violence and being the victim of acts of violence in lesbian relationships. One study estimates that between 15-20% of gay and lesbian couples are affected by domestic violence and describe gay male domestic violence as "the third most severe health problem facing gay men today", trailing behind AIDS and substance abuse. The researchers estimated that approximately 500,000 gay men per year are battered by a violence partner. They also argue that the incidence of gay domestic violence is probably greater that heterosexual domestic violence because: there are two men in a gay couple, and either could be a batterer, there is still some social norm not to hit a woman, and there is no woman in gay relationships, there are social norms that combat between men is always mutual combat and men should fight to resolve differences, and there are additional stressors of gay and lesbian relationships not present in heterosexual relationships. Domestic violence in gay and lesbian couples is a serious problem. Until recently the problem has been completely discounted and thus received little attention. In February 1994, Robert McEwan was arrested in Perth, Western Australia, and charged with the willful murder of his same-sex partner of 14 years. McEwan's partner died from multiple stab wounds. McEwan pleaded not guilty, basing his defense on the "battered wife syndrome" and provocation. McEwan claimed that he had been "dominated and abused physically, sexually, and emotionally" by his partner for several years. The jury was unable to reach a verdict and in February of 1996, murder charges were dropped in lieu of pleading guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter. The case is believed to be the first in Australia to successfully rely on the "battered wife (spouse) syndrome" in a same sex relationship. Such discrimination from the outside, along with the destructive force of the AIDS epidemic, has tended to obscure the internal problem that plagues the gay community: domestic violence. In fact, several recent studies suggest that same-sex domestic violence may be occurring at a similar rate - approximately one-third of all relationships - as heterosexual domestic violence. A six-city survey conducted by gay activists last year turned up 1,566 reported incidents of gay domestic violence, several hundred more than reported incidents of anti-gay harassment and violence. People are really surprised, especially about lesbian battering. The notion among feminists, lesbians - among women in general - is that this is a male problem. It's part of an older lesbian-feminist paradigm which says most of the problems in the world come from men and if we could isolate ourselves from them, then things would be kind of idyllic. It's not true. But people in lesbian communities don't want to talk about that publicly. It's like airing dirty laundry. Abused Men-The Hidden Side of Domestic Violence begins by examining the most common misconceptions about this social issue and offers a wealth of what will be new information for most readers. While people have heard the statistic for example, that 1.8 million American women are severely assaulted by their mates each year, few know that the same source (there is no other) shows that 2 million men are also assaulted at home. This means the real statistic is that a woman is assaulted by her mate every 18 seconds, while a man is similarly assaulted every 15 seconds! A report by the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs indicates that of 3,327 domestic violence cases self-reported among homosexuals in 12 U.S. cities in 1997, about half involved lesbian, bisexual and transgender women. " The fact is, gay men and lesbians are more likely to be injured by an intimate partner than a stranger," said Susan Holt, program coordinator for domestic violence services at the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center. Holt said that studies suggest that between 25% to 33% of all gay male and lesbian relationships involve abuse. A 28-year-old Warren man who testified that he stabbed his ex-lover 46 times in a fit of depression and jealousy was found guilty of first-degree murder. James Summerville Jr. stabbed 32-year-old Mikhail Ellis in the back and chest with three different kitchen knives. Summerville, who is HIV positive, told police that he murdered Ellis because he believed his former lover had infected him with the AIDS virus. Ellis discovered he was HIV positive in February 1997. Summerville learned he had the virus in April 1997, according to court testimony. Depression over losing his job and jealousy over Ellis' dating other people, not AIDS, sparked the killing his attorney said. Prosecuting attorney Mark Bilkovic told Detriot News " I repeatedly told them (the jury) over and over that having HIV is no excuse to commit murder." Male (on Male) rape constitute about 5 to 10% of all rapes. Most offenders are in their early to mid-20s. When documented at all, "gay" men were raped at rates higher then heterosexual men. Weapons are frequently used in male rape and at a much higher rate than that of women. Multiple assailants are more common in the rape of men than of women. Anal penetration of the victim was the most common from of assault. Oral penetration was the second most common. Contemplation of suicide is fairly common among male rape survivors, especially among those men who feel they cannot reach out for the support they so desperately need. Professor Lori B. Gishick, a professor of sociology and women's studies at Warren Wilson College in North Carolina, has worked for about 10 years in battered women's organizations and has run a support group specifically for abused lesbians. The "myth that women are not violent," is persistent and contributes to a denial of woman-to-woman sexual violence, not only among the general population but also among lesbians, says Girhick. " We want to believe that our relationships are safe, that we have equality, and that we have ideal communities. But it's not true." The estimated incidence of domestic abuse in gay and lesbian relationships is one out of three, about the same number arrived at for abuse in heterosexual relationships. Girshick says a large number of her respondents, as children and adults, had also been sexually abused by men, and that the memories of these previous traumas often complicated their reaction to being assaulted by women. According to Grishick, many of these women read books about woman-to-woman sexual violence; they went into therapy; they volunteered at rape crisis centers. For people who are part of a small lesbian community, the social implications of speaking out against their abuser can be terrifying. Girshick reports that some women did become ostracized when they told others. " I've heard stories of individuals who say ' My friends turned against me and protected her.'" There are only a handful of groups for women battered by other women in the country. Source: R. Nearly 25% of women, and about 7% of men, say they have been raped or assaulted by a current or former partner, according to a U.S. government report. Women living with female partners experienced fewer violent incidents than did women living with men. But men living with male partners reported more attacks than did men living with women. Approximately 11% of female couples reported rape, physical assault or stalking, compared to 15% of male couples... most incidents are not reported to the police, according to the survey. Against female respondents, only 20% of all rapes, 25% of physical assaults and 50% of all stalking were reported. The report rate was even lower among male victims. The survey consisted of 8,000 men and 8,000 women in a random telephone interview nationwide. Source: Baltimore Alternative, " Partner assault on rise," July 25, 2000; p.10.

Police are still searching for suspects in the July murder of Kenneth Wright, a Baltimore (gay) man whose body was found in his apartment. Wright had been stabbed repeatedly, and also showed signs of what police termed "blunt force trauma." Police detectives told Gaylife they suspect that Wright's murderer may have been a past lover. On August 8, Richard Konder, was stabbed to death in the apartment he shared with Micheal Jordan (not the basketball player). Jordan was also stabbed and remains in stable condition at Sinai Hospital. Police told Gaylife that at this time they do not believe the two attacks are related. In the second attack, detectives are searching for a 31-year-old (gay) white male. Vladislov Filatov, who goes by the name of Eric, is described by police as "very dangerous" and has been charged with murder. He is "known to frequent the gay community as well as bars in the gay community." A police spokesman said "He gives people a sob story, wins their trust and then slits their throats." Curt Rogers and Beth Leventhal both know what it is like to be gay or lesbian and facing violence and control at home. After surviving abusivise relationships, after being turned away, they decided it was time for change. "One in four people (25%) in same sex relationships have experienced domestic violence, and they need services and those service need to come from within their community," Said Rogers. Based on data from anti-violence groups in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Boston, Cleveland, Columbus, Ohio, and the state of Colorado, the fourth annual report by the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs reports that instances of same-sex domestic violence increased by 23% in 1999 compared to the previous year. The report suggests that better outreach to local gay and lesbian communities and better monitoring of reported incidents was mainly behind the increase, which reflected 3,120 cases in 1999. About half the cases involved males and half females. Just under 3% were transgendered partners. The report also noted 10 cases in which one partner was charged with killing another last year.
