It just frosts me that NBC can't cover the whole Olympics live.

Especially the Winter games!

Email sent to stupid NBC:

Why the Hell did you bid and win the right to cover the Olympics if you are NOT going to carry the live events? We aren't interested in seeing a condensed version of the days events at night - after everything is over.

The last Olympics from Sydney were bad enough - but this is in our own country for God's sake. If this is the best you can do, this household won't bother to watch ANY of it.

And BTW, the Opening Cermony was great -- EXCEPT for the terrible camera work and the insane babbling of Couric and Costas. Tell them to just give us a shot of the entire stadium and then SHUT UP.

What I love are the Winter X-Games stunts with the guys handing off the backs of motor cycles and snowmobiles, now that should be on the games.

it's a show and that proves it!

so does nascar have a drawing each year to decide who will hit the wall at 200 mph and die?
who writes the script to this show?

Am I missing something? I thought your title clearly stated the you would be posting the Early Olympics results with a caution not to look for those who preferred waiting.

It just frosts me that NBC can't cover the whole Olympics live I agree and thought that we would be seeing it live. I understood the problem with the time difference when shown in Asia, but what's their reasoning now?

I think NBC thinks they will get better ratings if they tape delay the events for later in the day. My solution would be to show the events live, and those of us who can't catch the events at that time could, like, tape them ourselves to watch later. And then NBC could broadcast the night events LIVE, and do their sappy athlete profiles at night, and wrapup at night, instead of trying to squish everything all together. What they are doing right now is satisfying no one.

the olympics should be live, live and live no matter where it is!

if the japanese stay up all night to catch american baseball games, etc... i think they should just show em live and let the people decide when to watch!

if they want to see the big event, STAY UP THEN!

it boils down to corporate greed and ratings WHICH IS WHY I THINK THE OLYMPICS SHOULD GO BACK TO GREECE AND REMAIN THERE, NUFF SAID!

PARK CITY, Utah — Americans Todd Lodwick and Bill Demong put themselves in position to win their country's first-ever medal in Nordic combined, finishing seventh and eighth, respectively, in Saturday's ski-jumping portion. Aided by a slight headwind and a rejiggered starting position on the 90-meter hill at Utah Olympic Park, Lodwick leaped 92.5 meters on his second jump. Lodwick equaled the mark, and both scored high on judges' style points, which are added to the distance points.

PARK CITY, Utah — Freestyle moguls skier Shannon Bahrke put America in the medals column Saturday, winning the silver behind gold-medal winner Kari Traa of Norway. Bahrke was considered the second-best hope to win America's first medal. The American favorite, Hannah Hardaway, struggled to a fifth-place finish. Tae Satoya of Japan, who won the gold in her home country in 1998, took the bronze this time.

MIDWAY, Utah — A pair of silver goggles concealed Stefania Belmondo's tears twice Saturday. The Italian cried during and after the women's 15-kilometer freestyle cross-country race. And she will always remember both. Belmondo won the first gold medal of the Winter Olympics, taking the women's 15-kilometer race in 39 minutes, 54.4 seconds. Larissa Lazutina of Russia took the silver in 39:56.2 and Katerina Neumannova of the Czech Republic won the bronze in 40:01.3. "I am very, very happy," said Belmondo, who won her second gold medal in what might be her last Olympics. "It's incredible. It's such a wonderful feeling." Americans Nina Kemppel, Barbara Jones and Kristina Joder were 30th, 44th and 54th, respectively. Kemppel finished nearly three minutes behind Belmondo, whose race was nearly as emotional as her victory.

I AM SORRY BUT WE CAN NO LONGER BROADCAST THE NEWS LIVE ANYMORE UNTIL EVERYONE IS HOME AND CAN WATCH IT!

NOT!

THIS IS A BAD SIGN OF THE TIMES THAT ARE COMING, CORPORATE CONTROL OVER SOCIETIES OR GOVERNMENT-CONTROLLED MEDIA!

i say stop the whining and don't watch the games on tv and don't buy the cr/p they advertise, its a game and they are winning right now!
