"Wrong. This was an entirely appropriate use of police authority. Follow the rules & for goodness sakes don't give airplane crews a hard time. He did this going into Salt Lake, too. Inexcusable." Should anyone have the least doubt that the American people are gradually becoming adjusted to living in a police state, just read the above post a few times.

Police state. LOL. Are you guys all paranoid schizophrenics? Read the Gulag Archipelog a couple of times more and tell me that we're a police state. I've ridden on lots of commercial flights in the last 60 days and on every one of them, 30 minutes before, we were asked to stay in our seats. We were told to stay in our seats. It has *long* been the case that in the law of the air, those instructions of the crew are the law. If you have a problem with the law because you don't like it, then in a democracy you don't whine that boo-hoo it's Stalinism, you lobby your legislator to have the law changed. You guys really are a bunch of whiners. Just stay in your seats. The "right to walk about the plane in the last 30 minutes of the flight or all rights as I know them are surely vanquished" crowd. Sheesh. Get a grip.
