You're getting close to the root of it. The thing is these self-styled moral judges WANT and NEED the parents to be guilty of the dissapearance and possible murder of this child,PURELY because they want them punished for having "non-approved" sex. Misery loves company. The dissapearance of the young girl in this story is now a side issue for too many of these posters.

I can only speak for myself, but I think you're waaaaaaaay off base with your comments. First of all, as I mentioned in a previous post, if the parents were passed out on the couch, we would all be faulting them for letting alcohol divert their attention away from their parental responsibilities. Secondly, I think you're being just as morally judgemental against the morally judgemental as the morally judgemental are against the morally questionable. Get it? Being tolerant and inclusive of the swinging lifestyle and turning your nose up at the people who think it's gross puts all of us on an equal footing, in my opinion.

I think some people are in a little too big of a hurry to implicate the parents based on their lifestyle, when it could just be that they let their attention get diverted away from their responsibilities too easily, but you're being in too big of a hurry to defend them, when it could very well be that the company they happened to keep exposed their daughter in a way that wouldn't have happened if they were hosting a bridge tournament instead.

BTW, I have seen a swinging couple's website before. You have to subscribe to get the "really good" pictures of their parties (so they make money off their lifestyle) and they mention that they have four children (only in the context of the guy bragging about how good his wife looks after having four children). I saw some of the "sample pictures" and, as they say in the Navy, this is no sh*t: the very first thought that popped into my head when I saw those pictures was "Wow, don't you think they'd get tired of it after awhile?" I mean, if you need that much "stimulation" to keep your marriage exciting, you must be very easily bored or not very emotionally connected. It's like a drug....when the regular stuff doesn't float your boat anymore, you step it up a notch, and then another notch, and then another notch. What happens when swinging isn't enough anymore? It's like heroin--it's exciting at first, but pretty soon, you need even wilder and crazier stuff to consider yourself as having a good time? All morality and sinfulness aside (and adultery is a sin, if you're a Christian or Jew), wife-swapping is not an emotionally or physically sustainable marital enhancement, and while there might be a small few who can keep it up indefinitely (pun intended), I'd be willing to bet that they have a lot more emotional and marital problems that they'd be willing to admit to.

Yeah,I "get it",but you are wrong. You are going too far to try to place yourself in the "moderate middle". These people are creeps and control freaks to the point where MANY (not all!) of them would prefer a theocracy over a Republic.I've been dealing with these idiots all my life.
