Black tie heckler thrown out of Clinton dinner (Was Doug from Upland in Australia?)

A heckler has been thrown out of a charity dinner in Australia after he stood up and began arguing with Bill Clinton.

The man, a paid guest at the black-tie dinner in Brisbane, was carried out of the function attended by 700 people after a verbal clash with Mr Clinton.

Seven minutes into Mr Clinton's speech, the man began objecting to his comments on the war against terrorism and said that the United States had been beaten in the Vietnam war.

"Hang on, North Vietnam beat you. They shot you down," the man shouted. Unfazed, the former US President pointed out that North Vietnam had the fifth-biggest Army in the world.

"The Viet Cong were the terrorists," he said. As the heckling continued and other guests told the man to sit down and be quiet, Mr Clinton invited him to address the dinner in his place.

"I'd be happy for you to give this speech. I've been talking every night. I'm tired," he said. Mr Clinton is on a speaking tour of Australia.

Security guards moved in to take the heckler away, but Mr Clinton urged them to let him stay.

"Be nice to him. Listen, most of these things are highly predictable. Don't throw him out," Mr Clinton said. "Let him sit down. Just sit down and have a good time. Relax, chill out."

But as the interruptions continued, guards moved in and carried the man out.

P.S. The Doug remark was just in reference to the Headline, not with what the heckler said.

I hate when Clinton Hecklers spew leftist anti-American garbage....Clinton hecklers have sooo much more good material to choose from!

But then it's tough to imagine a conservative willing to shell out the $5,000 to get the chance to be thrown out by a Clinton henchmen after listening to Bubba drone on with his drivel!....I bet Clinton wouldn't be so insistent on a right-winger staying!

"The Viet Cong were the terrorists," he (Clinton) said.

And your heroes, Bubba. So you have a soft spot in your heart for terrorists?

Something about The Toon in Australia all the time just doesnt sit right with me. He was there on 9/11 as well if you all recall.

From my recollections he used to meet with the Riadys in that area. Does anyone else have anything to add to this, I find it interesting but no one has done any investigating.

Just a guess, but if Doug were in that situation he'd probably be more focused on "current events", 1992-2000.

"I'd be happy for you to give this speech.

Yeah, but you'd still keep the fee to yourself, wouldn't you?

I've been talking every night. I'm tired," he said.

So shut up. You're ready for a rest, and I'm ready for you to give it a rest.

This heckler has it backwards. Clinton was part and parcel of North Vietnam's victory. He was an American foot soldier in the North Vietnamese propaganda machine. He made a covert, never explained New Year's trip to Moscow while a student in London (you remember, Clinton said he was a tourist on a 3 day trip to Moscow and spent a lot of time walking around looking at the sights, but it turned out to have been something like 30 below zero). Perhaps unlike Jihad Johnny, Clinton was well aware throughout that he was supporting the enemy of America.

The heckler was mistaken in thinking Clinton would be insulted by the citation of an American defeat he not only celebrated but played a role in making happen.

Exactly my first thought. He probably has a "Lewinksy Provider" over there.

"The Viet Cong were the terrorists," he (Clinton) said.

Delicious irony in a way, because as a former President he HAD to say that, but we all know he really doesn't believe it.
He must really hate having to spout the occasional pro-American sentiment, anti-American marxist pig that he is.

"Obviously, the guy was a XXXlinton plant ... since they both have the same world view! And, no doubt, he could have easily finished XXXlintons speach! Just bubbas way of getting more publicity. And it worked ... didn't it!"

My thoughts exactly. Great minds, huh?

When Clinton was president, I believe he had hecklers ARRESTED by the SS. Both incidents were in Chicago, I think, and one was a woman. Clinton does NOT believe in free speech - (well, maybe for Australians).
