Great Work.

Michigan Endorsements so far. Our primary isn't until August so it's early here.

GOP Governor - Dick Posthumus over McCainiac John Schwarz.

Dem primary Goveror - Anyone but Jenny Granholm.

Attorney General - I haven't fully made up my mind yet on this, but I'm 85% sure I'll be backing Mike Cox over Dan DeGrow. Cox is a assistant prosecutor in Wayne County(works for ASD democrat Mike Duggan, but was there way before him). He has close ties to Joe Knollenberg who is a strong conservative. He is a homicide prosecutor. I think he's more pro-2a than Dan DeGrow as well who put in a lot of gun free zones, and DeGrow his opponent, was an architect of a HUGE pay raise. It's the choice between a prosecutor and a politician.

Secretary of State - No endorsements so far. No major problems with any of them. Candidates are Terri Land, Anne Norlander, and Lorne Bennett. Slight lean to Norlander now, but that's because I've talked to her a few times. My big issue in this race is Vote fraud.

Congress.

District 6 GOP Primary - Kalamazoo, Berrien, part of Allegan, St Joseph, Van Burean, and a slight part of Calhoun County - DALE SHUGARS over Fred Upton. Upton is an ASD Rino. Shugars is pro-2a, pro-life and I am 100% sure, will be endorsed over Upton. He has always been there for the gun owners while a state senator.

District 11 - If there is a GOP primary here, Thaddeus McCotter would get my vote. Possibly the most conservative in the State Senate, and also has strong appeal to a lot of democrats there. Long time friend of gunowners, and pro-life.

District 5 Democrat Primary - Moderate(actual moderate) Jim Barcia over Liberal Democrat Dale Kildee. Barcia is 100% pro-2a, anti NAFTA/GATT and also voted AGAINST Shays-Meehan. Ironically, both are pro-life dems. Kildee is strong ASD.

District 16 Democrat primary - John Dingell over Lynn Rivers. . If nothing else, Dingell is at least pro-2a and against Partial Birth Abortions. Lynn Rivers is possible the most liberal in the state. Figures. She's from Ann Arbor.

Here's mine for Illinois:

GOVERNOR-- My state Senator, Pat O'Malley, of course. Lt. Corinne Wood is a RINO, and Attn. Gen. Jim Ryan is a nice guy but he's the "Bob Dole" of this state ("it's his turn! Run the dull guy! But don't offend the Democrats!" say the party leaders)

LT. GOVERNOR -- Jack McInterney. O'Malley didn't pick a running mate, and this guy doesn't exactly inspire appealing beyond the party, but he is the most conservative and most charimastic guy running. Unfortunately, he'll probably split the conservative vote with Jim Ryan's running mate (Hawkinson), allowing RINO Bill O'Conner to win. But that's acceptable, the Lt. Governor in this state is just a puppet for the governor. No constitutional powers.

ATTONENY GENERAL -- DuPage County State's Attoneny Joe Birkett. He's further to the right of our outgoing Attn. General, and had the guts to speak out against the death peanlty moritorium. His opponent is RINO Bob Coleman. Some freepers actually think they're no difference between Coleman and Birkett. I assume they must be the single-issue types who went to Perot ("I don't care if he's liberal-- he's ANTI-NAFTA!") The truth is Birkett is moderate on guns, Coleman is LIBERAL on EVERYTHING.

SEC OF STATE-- Kris Cohn is running unopposed for the GOP nomination. I'll vote for her in the general, but I'm going to cast a write-in vote for Mayor Keaton R. Manning in the primary. Manning is more conservative but was kicked off the ballot. Cohn is a feisty moderate that reminds you of Candiance Bergen meets Dolly Pardon.

TREASURER -- Incumbant Judy Barr Topinka is running unopposed for a third term. She's marginally better than a 'RAT, but she's still a stauch George Ryan apologist and pro-abortion Republican. I'll just leave this slot blank on the ballot

COMPTROLLER -- Thomas Jefferson Ramsdell. He's got a coll name, and he kicks ass on cutting burcratic waste and slashing taxes. Anti-Chicago machine grassroots official. Go Tom, beat little daddy's boy Dan Hynes.

SENATOR -- State Rep. Jim Durkin. The other candiates are DOA against Durbin, and Oberweis is only half a Republican anyway. Durkin is NOT a RINO (listen to him talk about abortion, ANWR drilling, defense issues, Bush's tax cut, etc. sometime), and he is NOT a dull speaker (quite the opposite-- he talks a mile a minute!). I can state this after having met the guy in person. He has flaws, but the guy attacking him for not being "conservative" enough (Cox) is the same guy who won't talk about the fact he's further left than Durbin on the death penalty (although conservative on everything else). I'll take any of these guys over Durbin, but DurKin is the best choice in the primary.
