This country has no obligation to house, feed, and provide for people who contribute to all the problems...

Tried to explain it to my former sister-in-law in simple terms by comparing it to someone who breaks into your house in the middle of the night. You are not obligated to feed him, clothe him, provide him medical care or to take care of his children. Basically, that's what we're doing with the illegal immigrants. We're providing them with more care and more government funding than a lot of rightful American citizens are getting.

The basic problem is illegal immigration fuels depressed property values, higher taxes, and bigger government. There are plenty of reasons to oppose more of it but these are foremost in people's minds when asked why they reject an amnesty for illegal aliens.
