Why does these seem like a "Gulf of Tonkin" story?
Find a better reason to bomb the SOB's. I don't buy this one...Heck we don't need a reason.

It's not a Gulf of Tonkin story. It's another example of Clinton avoiding dealing with problems overseas. It was clear that the original designation of him being dead was incorrect during the Clinton first administration. But he and his people didn't want to deal with it, so they delayed changing the pilot's designation until a week and a half before Dubya took office. It was Clinton's way of giving Dubya another potential problem to deal with.
