On this subject, Wanniski thinks Farrakhan's importance is not just national but global. "I believe he's the most important muslim in the world.
Other than the fact that he's not a muslim, he may be right. Nation of Islam has nothing to do with traditional Islam.

Calling Farrakhan an important muslim is like calling Iraq's Republican Guard important members of the GOP.

I want black Americans to be willing to consider supporting, or being, GOP candidates too. BUT, not at the cost of making alliance with such a man as this.
