Bush was never my "friend." I voted for him because I didn't want Gore up there. I was praying he would actually do what he promised to do since he said he was a born again Christian.

I don't see how you can criticize Bush for not doing what he said. In the campaign he never said he was against criminal aliens. In fact, if you just looked at his record as governor it was clear that he supported them.

Even on this amnesty, if you parsed what he said properly, you should have expected this. If people don't parse every word of every statement, and just hear what they want to hear, they are always going to be disappointed.
