David Brock is apparently a guy who loves to take positions opposite to his dominant atmospheric conditions.

At Berkeley he became a reactionary against the Left. When he relocated to the East coast, he has become anti-Right.

He is now spewing on Fox, trashing his past.

The elites of the Right are to blame, people like me were actually projectiung their inseurities, etc. on der Sleikmeister.

Brock has joined the ranks of Mike Moore and their ilk.

Brock was on C-SPAN this morning; he's such a slimy little puke.

Someone asked him the question I wanted to ask: "Were you lying then, or are you lying now?"

He stumbled around and insisted he was NOW telling the truth.

I saw Brock on the "Today" show last week with Matt what's his name. Brock said, the book he wrote about Anita Hill was a lie, and that the vast right wing made him do it. Oh good grief! What a maroon.

I saw him. Not credible. The interviewer had personal knowledge of some of the events that Brock was saying were not true. The interviewer nailed him good with the Gary Aldrich WSJ article.

Also, he is sliming TAS so much, he is ripe for a libel suit.

Lied about what?
There's a left technique of seeming to say something but not really saying it, to "send a messaage". In this case, Brock said on the show I saw that he lied when he wrote that there was no evidence at all that Mr. Justice Thomas had ever rented video porn. That's different from saying that Anita Hill was truthful, though a lot of the booboisie want it to be the same. He never said on that show that Justice Thomas harrassed Hill and that he could document it. He just segued into a catty set piece about his erstwhile conservative friends. I disliked Jill Abramson and Jane Mayer when they were at the Wall Street Journal and were pumping up the Hill accusations. Now Abramson is Washington Bureau chief for what else, the NY Times, and Mayer is available where else, in the New Yorker.

Has anybody here heard Brock say anything factual, that can be checked? Or is his book just a hissy fit?

Are you speculating, or is that true fact on the record?

I ask because I figured his flip-flop occurred during his work on his Hillary book. I figured that a couple of things could account for it, the more likely being some social angle in his personal life, the other possibility being that Slick sent Larry Flynt around on a social call, to explain the facts of life, and its alternative, to Brock, if the book didn't come out a certain way. After all, this was Hillary he was screwing with.

The 75% play was that he found true love on Connecticut Avenue.

He also made a big deal at the time about being cut dead by some conservatives that he kinda had forgotten to out himself to....they slammed doors in his face, he said, and said some pretty tough things to him, which he attributed to "bigotry" and blah, blah, blah.

Anyone care to dish the straight story, if you know it?
