The problem with the drug warriors is they really believe the WOD can be won being fought as a war of our government on American citizens but meanwhile the Mexican border is as porous as ever, they drive this stuff right over the bridges and it takes a $10,000 bribe to the INS officers to bring it in by the tons.

Here's another truck from Mexico that got past the INS at the bridges and didn't get apprehended until well inside the US ---and the day before Bush was to arrive in El Paso ---with all the supposed added security at the border planning for that:

Agency seizes cocaine: U.S. Border Patrol agents seized 191 pounds of cocaine from the customized gas tank of a 1999 Ford F-800 on Wednesday at the U.S. 54 checkpoint south of Alamogordo, agency officials said. Inspectors noticed that the tank had recently been tampered with.

They used a fiber-optic scope and detected a metal panel indicating a hidden compartment, where they found the drug. The driver of the truck was a 30-year-old man from Juárez whose name was not released by the Border Patrol. The drug is valued at $6.1 million.

This seizure brings the total number of seizures for the El Paso sector to 771, valued at over $118 million, since October 2001.
