FIGHTING FRAUD AT THE POLLS

I served as an election judge in the Texas Republican primary last week. I'll also serve as a precinct chairman for the next two years. During my training, I was instructed concerning the use of "poll watchers". In light of what the Democrats did in Philadelphia, St. Louis, Milwaukee, etc. in 2000, the Republicans must have poll watchers at every polling place in the 2002 and 2004 elections.

How is watching going to help when the people registered are dead or dogs?

Contact the chairman of the Republican Party in your county. A day watching to make sure voters don't try to punch three ballots at a time is a day well spent!

FIGHTING FRAUD AT THE POLLSI doubt you'll have to worry as much in the future. I don't think Goron's name will ever appear on another ballot.
Oh, you meant fradulent voting, not fraudulent existance/campaigning or oxygen theft.;-)

absolutely. I served at the last few elections, and we run a tight ship, but in heavily demo areas the system breaks down. I think we all know which party routinely cheats in elections. Pubs tend to be enforcers of order and the constitution, Demos tend to "bend" rules to achieve their nirvana.
By the way, in CA, we cannot ask for ID at the polling places because this would "dissenfranchise" people of color (!)

I think I will give em a call!!

Unfortunately, I think that Republican poll watchers in urban polling places can face potential physical danger (and the higher the stakes in a given election, the higher the danger). The only Republican poll watchers in some city polling places are fake Republicans (democrats who have changed their registration to Republican so they can be fraudulent poll watchers). Other polling places have NO Republican poll watchers at all. Any attempting to go in would be taking their health/life in their hands, IMHO. If a move were to be made in urban precincts, it would have to be made in large numbers with a lot of PR to protect Republicans trying to be poll watchers. I would be scared to do it, myself.

I was thinking of some of the voting districts here in St Louis,You would be taking your life in your hands if you ID'd someone or asked for their registration cards.Thats how they were able to pull that shady s**t off in 2000.

In NY you have to show your drivers license and sign a registry book. The book has a copy of your signature which they get from your drivers license. The workers are supposed to make sure that the two signatures match.

What part of Texas are you in? I see that you are new to FR. If you had been here for the weeks leading up to the primary, you'd know I was doing a lot of work with those in Houston on this very issue. I invite you to view these links at the bottom
http://www.geocities.com/gop2kdude/precinctorganization.pdf - this is a great guide in my opinion on being a precinct chairman/organizer in your area
http://www.geocities.com/gop2kdude/pwguide.pdf - this is info fromt he Texas Secretary of State on pollwatchers
We have the Congressional 31 run-off on April 9th. We must make sure we have people covering those locations as the Wareing team is likely to pull anything to win, like they tried in 2000. That district goes from Northwest Harris County over to Round Rock, including College Station

I was a poll watcher in hometown in the last Presidental election. The problem is, in the state of California, Poll watchers are not allowed inside the polling place!
Imagine that! Just who do you think made that lovely law possible? Right, the demoRATS!
I feel helpless to stop the massive fraud in California where the Rats made all the rules which keep them in power!

Thanks for the info. I'll check out those websites. I live in the East Texas (Tyler) area. How was the turnout for the precinct meetings in your area? We had eight at our meeting last Tuesday night. Together we discussed nine resolutions. I want to see the Republican party produce an educational video that shows voters how the party platform is formed via the resolution process.
To: freedom4me
I live in the Katy area. Turnout at my precinct was terrible, and only four people showed up at precinct convention.
If we are going to be effective poll watchers in the fall, this has to be a NATIONWIDE effort, not just a Texas effort.
