If you want your spawn to turn into animal rights activists just set them down in front of films the anthropamorphise food (like Babe and Bambi).

The last time I roasted a suckling pig I spent the whole party doing my Babe voice screaming about the spit he was roasting on (Oh my 'roids, the fire's hot). Also trying to convice the kids that the eyeballs were the best part (they said 'OK, YOU eat them'). I guess they are leaning critical thinking skills from me.

Also any Monty Python film is great for kids. Again things they should not get just go over their heads. (Can't I have just a little peril. No it's too perilous. Bet you're gay.)

Anything Monty Python is not fit for anyone over 16-18. If I recall, there's brief bits of nudity in every one. I'd pass on these if you have kids younger than 16...

I must second 'October Sky' and 'Captains Courageous (MGM)', absolutely wonderful movies.

Try "Little Lord Fauntleroy (MGM)" with Freddie Bartholomew, my husband likes that one too. Also any Shirley Temple movie!!

Too violent and I think Crassus is portrayed as a homosexual, which he was not, historically. I think Commie/Hollywood 10 creep Dalton Trumbo had something to do with that film, if I'm not mistaken.

This time of year, The 10 Commandments is a good choice. I'd suggest A Man for All Seasons but I know BibChr is not sympathetic to the Catholic viewpoint, so I suspect he'd want to skip that one. It is a brilliant movie, however.

Sure I do. I thought throwing a 'Babe' party and cooking a suckling pig was funny. Some of the little ones were kind of disturbed, but they all ate part of Babe and liked it.

Bambi is responsible for more brain rot then just about any other film. It is pure BS aimed right at the kids.

If brief non-sexual nudity bothers you watch the TV show. No non-animated nudity.

Next you'll tell me whoppie cushons are'nt appropirate for kids. (a fart joke is never funnier then when you are 5)
