gw is a globalist. He is not conservative in plan or deed. He belives in big government. He belives in the power of his own actions over the power of the Constitution. I'm beginning to wonder if he's really better than algore...

If I am going to Bash somebody, you can bet it WILL be these small-minded Bush Bashing Naysayers, and NOT our GREAT President who is literally battling the foreign enemies of America with one arm, and with the other arm he is battling the DOMESTIC enemies of America, slowly strangling that nest of vipers.

Of course, I DID see a cloud in the sky today, so I am SURE the pious Bush Bashers will continue tilting windmills unabated, in their futile quest.

I feel insulted that you didn't respond to my post. I am quite a basher when it comes to the President and amnesty. Why was I left out of the "group"?

I am sure you have heard the old saying: "How do you keep a Bush Basher in suspense?"

Amen to that. Heaven forbid they'd ever spend their time supporting the President and the country.... Oh, no, that might keep them from boring the rest of us to death or worse yet, they might not lose a cahnce to announce for the gazillionith time that he's lost their vote. Ever notice how it's always the topics they don't understand and must rely on hearsay that gets them all wadded up ?

As usual, it's a fine job by President Bush.

The only real news here is that some people were surprised that GWB once again outsmarted the Leftists.

The bottom line is that we're promising to pay MORE foreign aid

Are the people who were born in poor countries less human than you? Do they deserve to starve, die, and suffer disease, just because of where they happened to be born?

Certainly, we shouldn't just give handouts indefinitely, but it is only humane to help them help themselves. Bush is advocating a policy of teaching them how to fish and demanding results from the money given, not just throwing them fish, and that is a huge improvement over the previous leadership we had, and it is the right thing to do.

Please stand and take my applause. Once again you did not surprise me. You did not reply to my #22 post. You have shown me once again that people who support a President 365 days a year are incapable of intelligent debate. Yes, you are the same as a Clinton supporter, "I love that man!" is all you are capable of saying when it comes to your support of Bush.

And you never disappoint US either; SOS day in and day out.

You have shown me once again that people who support a President 365 days a year are incapable of intelligent debate.

Ah, yes. Intelligent debate such as yours 365 days a year?

but it is only humane to help them help themselves

Just a reminder. The money you advocate giving away is not all yours to give. Some of it is mine. Lets make a deal; you give me my portion of this wealth redistribution from your wallet and donate twice your fair share to global charity and we'll both be happy. I'll not feel like I've been robbed of as much, and you will feel twice as "humane".

"He made it clear our dollars we will no longer support nations who refuse to take positive steps to improve their country and help their people. He served notice to corrupt regimes that our aid now comes with responsibility and accountability."

While I have some problems with some of his decisions, this is more than just doing his job. This is a huge change in US foreign aid policy that has been long overdue. I applaud President Bush for this in your face, realistic approach in dealing with the hands outstretched around the world. He not only told the UN where to stick it, he put the world on notice that the free ride is over regarding the generosity of America! And since he's well known for walking the walk, I have confidence he will implement the policy. This is really good news!

"So don't tell me I won't be paying a global tax."

It's NOT a global tax. It's a decision your elected representative make to try and improve the geopolitical climate. I've always been a critic against much of our foreign aid. But if the funds are managed and distributed by the US in return for reasonable reform from those who get it, I'm all for it. It's nothing more than asking welfare recipients to do a little work for their check, which I'm in favor of.
