I think LCMS president Kieschnick will tread water until the next election, a few years away, then press for ordination. He re-election is assured for various reasons. The current flap over worship with Muslims will drive the conservative fighters out.

Women's ordination will speed up in the Wisconsin Synod when Wayne Mueller becomes the official president. He was snuck in as First VP. The First VP has the primary claim on being the next president. Mueller is a ardent Church Growth advocate, liberal etc. So both synods will ordain women in a matter of years.

WELS even changed the historic creeds for the feminists. They couldn't say "and became man" so they changed it to "fully human" whatever that is. And the whole synod accepted it, even the so-called conservatives. There is no fight left in the Lutheran Church.

A WELS DP molested little girls in his congregation and went to prison, but that was never told to the members.

Are you a Lutheran? If so I'm sorry to hear all that. I had hoped that these two would stand firm. If you are, don't give up, keep fighting. There is still time and with God all things are possible.
