Unfortunately it is extremely difficult for a divorced spouse to keep their ex from locating them, irregardless of where and how they move. Too many legal requirements that a smarmy lawyer can use to track them down, ways you might not even think of intuitively.

About the best preventative measure is to be very careful who you get involved with and marry. And even then, that isn't foolproof.

My boss' sister was killed by her ex-husband about 2 years ago. She had gotten a restraining order against him, but he merely found her at work, walked in the front door, shot her in the head then blew his own head off. I guess if somebody is willing to kill themselves in order to kill you there's really nothing you can do about it (other than arming yourself, which is a good idea).

As I said in a similar thread a few weeks ago, we are going to see a lot more of this. That is one of many social reasons many states are making it harder for women to unilaterally throw out their husbands while keeping the car, the house, the kids, and a fair share of his income for the forseeable future - often without cause or even trumped up "abuse" charges.

Maybe only .01% of the men treated like this will pop, but that's enough to get us good headlines like this quite often.

Mankind is the most wonderful and dangerous creature on the planet, but if you stick one in a "cage" and poke him with a hot stick enough times, don't come crying to me when he finally snaps and lashes out violently, in a fit of what he sees as self defence and/or, final ending of pain.

Don't get me wrong. What this guy did was definitely a no-no, but that belief and about $3 will get you a double tall latte.

yeah, but what do you do when you get divorced and the court appointed doctor finds that one person is a diagnosed psychopath, and then the judge gives them to the diagnosed psychopath...(their mother) taking them OUT of the fathers home to do it...
