My rough translation....
Warsaw (dpa) The polish police are looking for literally explosive stolen property: Four surface to air missiles were stolen from a military train, the polish news agency PAP reports. The theft was noticed in the night on a railyard in the central polish town of Lodz. According to information of the defence ministry, the stolen rockets were part of an arms delivery destined for export. The transport was guarded by security personel.

There is no need to be concerned if these missiles are of Polish origin. It is policy to ship the rubber bands separately.:~)

You forgot to add that it was the Poles who were the first to try and crack the German Enigma encryption machine, later passing on their work and 'borrowed' example to the British...

your translation is not only rough but also highly inacurate. The so called "theft" actually occured in October 1999 and consisted of Display Missiles, all of which were recovered. Your innuendo and ethnic slurs are quite obvious and should not be allowed on this board. Why don't you grow up Pole basher. And also the other Pole bashers on this thread. You are all not very funny and I am surprised the Free Republic allows you to post here.

Are you talking about the same incident as this article ?
To: eabinga
Looks like those missles were "exported" ahead of schedule.

It requires more skill to go backwards! ;) The Poles also recovered a prototype V1 flying bomb that crashed into a river, dissasembled it and delivered it to Britain.

The original article I was referring to was dated today and has no mention of October 1999 or display models. In no way did I bash any Poles. Just for your information, I am equally proficient in German as a native would be, and I know what I read.

As I understand they did it from memory. The Nazis conscripted Poles for 'domestic' duties. These 'domestics' merely observed the machine, then drew on paper the different parts from memory. Then sent the info to Britain. Later I think they stole a complete machine. Amazing

UPDATE: ROCKETS FOUND
German Story Here Four anti-aircraft-missiles which were stolen from a polish train have been found. The rockets of the type "Strzala" were found on Wednesday near the southern town of Jaroslaw and are "intact", as a police speaker told the polish news agency PAP. Unknown people took the shoulder fired misiles Tuesday night from a weapons transport from the weapons factory Mesko near Lodz to Gdansk. The transport was guarded by a private security firm. The theft was discovered early morning at the Lodz station by a railroad employee.

A greater loss than any you speculated would be what would happen to shrimp-boils if there were no Polish Sausage?
