A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 3/27/02
yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov | Republican Warrior Princess

Posted on 03/27/2002 4:57:55 PM PST by rintense

President Bush signed the controversial Campaign Finance Reform bill today as Mitch McConnell immediately filed suit against it. Bush later headed to South Carolina where he spoke to Emergency First Responders in Greenville. He also stopped in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia Tech Institute of Technology where he watched drills demostrating response to terror attacks. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Anyone who is a regular poster on this thread knows what it is about.

It's not really about political discussion. Do you honestly feel there is not enough political discussion on Free Republic? If so, I suggest you start such a thread.

We have been coming on this Day in the Life thread ... well, how long is it, rintense?

Anyway, we come here to enjoy pictures of our President, whom most of us love and admire.

I find it difficult to understand why you would want to come here and post negative comments which you know will annoy.

The idea is not to have intelligent debate. The idea is to drive Bush supporters from the forum and to create an impression with the media that Bush's base is deserting him.

That is why when you post reasonable alternatives or disagree, you get comments like "Bush is just like Clinton."

I am not leaving this forum, and I am not deserting President Bush.

What do you think the Supreme Court is for or do you want the President acting for the Judiciary? Please take your comments to another thread and allow the rest of us to enjoy the pictures in peace! Thank you!

And the regular posters on this thread are all capable and free to disagree with G.W. Bush now and then, otherwise, this thread becomes a censoring tool for those who don't celebrate everything the President does. We all desire to see our rights preserved, therefore, courteous disagreement must be permitted here and throughout FR.

Again, you guys are missing my point! There are dozens of threads on FR tonight where you will find lively discussions of the pros and cons of President Bush signing this legislation today. This is a picture thread. You are in the wrong place!

Oh get over it you once issue supporter. Why do I get the feeling that had he voted to allow stem cell, you would have abandoned him? Or Kyoto? Why not just say $uck the Republicans altogether and vote democrat in 2004. That will solve everything

Woo Hoo!!! Go Warrior Princess!!

Hey, rintense, I am beginning to long for the days when we were "fighting" about what color dubya's eyes are and whether or not green looked good on Laura.

BTW, I wish Laura would show up again, I always enjoy pics of her.

Sorry. I didn't mean to attack you personally, but there is NO comparison between President Bush, who is filled with integrity and honor, and Xlinton, a sleazebag who wouldn't recognize honor if it hit him in the face.

The comparison IS idiotic, and inane. You may not be, but your statement is absurd, and I would say that to your face.

"If you would like to meet in person, I'm sure you would be a lot slower to talk like that."

Sounds like a threat to me, and a physical one too. Kind of the pot calling the kettle black don't you think?

I am not leaving this forum, and I am not deserting President Bush.

Me neither! He's a good man and the one thing I am absolutely certain of is that he has the best interest of America at heart. I am willing to trust his judgment in this case. He has his reasons for signing this legislation.

Are there any safe from Bush-bashing threads anymore. I guess not.

Thanks Rintense, for the great pictures of our President.

Your behavior is rude. I've started a thread about why GW may have signed the bill, and I dare say I've been more outspoken than most on FR about CFR. Please be polite and move to an appropriate thread.

Just got into an active discussion on another thread on same topic. This is not the place for your discussion take it to another thread. You are rudely interupting a pleasant place of peace.

Well that's a bit different. And I would feel fine debating the non-idiocy of the statement. Thanks.

Believe me, Bush is infinitely more honorable than Clinton. Clinton made me sick, and I truly believe he sold out the country. He is a traitor and a piece of filth.

Bush on the other hand is a Patriot and an honorable man. I truly believe that he cares about the country. I know he does. You see, I've heard him speak in person at my wife's graduation, and I've got some personal experiences that makes me know so...let's just leave it at that.

But, that does not mean that Bush doesn't remind me of Clinton on a couple aspects. Bush telling people that medical marijuana was a states rights issue during the campaign, then doing a 180 and sicking the DEA on cannabis clubs in my state did not make me real happy with his integrity. Likewise, Bush signing CFR into law while speaking out the other side of his mouth acknowledging the unconsitutionality of the bill, that also does not make me feel real comfortable. Same with the War on Drugs. Do you honestly believe that someone buying a dime bag of pot (which they are only doing because its illegal to grow) is really comparable to what happened in New York? That latest string of DEA/Bush anti-drug commercials makes me sick.

I'll second that! I truly believe that he signed it, warts and all to force it to the Supreme court and have it settled once and for all. But hey, that's just my opinion. My other opinion is that his eyes are blue!

It sounds like a threat to me as well.

Notice what the idea is here. No thread positive about President Bush can be left unsullied. EVERY thread is filled with this stuff.

Now since Bush has signed the bill, why are they still here? They are trying to convince people that they should turn on Bush. Some Bush supporters they are!

I definitely do not want to discuss the merits of marijuana here. Please start an appropriate thread for that.

so tell me, what amazing and far-reaching impact do you have on the country???

I'd like to know. You come across as just another nobody that couldn't get elected if there were only two people voting. Yet here you are spewing your self-righteous vitriol when chances are you have done nothing -- NOTHING -- that makes a difference toward CFR not passing.
