I agree, the libertarians are an energy cell here. OWK, tpaine, harrowup, garbanzo, Lurker, demidog etc. have always been here, and it's a damn good thing. They are far more thoughtful and relevant critics of Bush and GOP regulars like me than the anti-statists.

Agreed. It's important in the free-for-all on these threads to run up against ideas we hadn't previously considered. Either we change our minds or hone our discourse.

For me, that includes yours, Arne... whatever the head-butting we've done.

When I post to a thread that has alot of posts on it like the Never Ending Story, it won't show up, it shows up in my self search but not on the thread, after a while after others have posted it shows up, anybody know anything about this?

If you're looking for a someones latest posts, how do you do that now. I used to just go to their home page and click find in forum. That's gone now.

I would not visit Free Republic at all if it wasn't for the opinions that the Libertarians offer up. It would be extremely boring (like ldot!) with nothing but rah-rah "I agree" comments.

I know Jim and John have worked hard on this but it is time to go back to the drawing board. FR is about opinion and ideas not fancy graphics. Unfortunately this is now a very confusing site. Anybody familiar with the best internet sites is that it loads quickly, easy to find things and very user friendly. FR has none of these three now.

I am sure you guys will change things once you see traffic scream to a halt. Bring back the old FR with modifications. This reminds me of when Coke came out with the New Coke and you know what happened to the "New" Coke.

I could not agree more. I complained about this when it was just a Beta - I do not have a big enough monitor to waste it with a useless banner running along the side of the screen!
