How do I get rid of the Local State Messages at the top of my screen? I had it disabled in the old version, but now those idiotic message keep appearing on the top of my screen.

I guess this new format means my house will be cleaner, my grass will be greener, and I will get more work done at the office. This is not worth my time anymore.

Go to your profile and opt out of any location. Then the blatant unwanted message at the top of the forum will go away. You will be stateless, but momentarily happy.

In the New FR Order!

Reminds me of one of the psychiatrists in our clinic who had a patient big in an advertising agency wanting to meet with us to show what he could do for our stuffy clinic. I reminded the partner that new patients were waiting months to see any of us, that apparently stuffiness was fine.

Suspect soon there will blaring music and flashing stuff when I click on FR. I am unmotivated and don't have the time to learn the new system, and even if so someone will decide to "improve" it again.

I agree. (But, I was going to say "I agree with this long-time FReeper". However, when I went to your profile page to see how long, long-time is, I couldn't get it to open properly (don't know if the problem is photopoint.com or something with the new browser)).
