I agree, the libertarians are an energy cell here. OWK, tpaine, harrowup, garbanzo, Lurker, demidog etc. have always been here, and it's a damn good thing. They are far more thoughtful and relevant critics of Bush and GOP regulars like me than the anti-statists.

Agreed. It's important in the free-for-all on these threads to run up against ideas we hadn't previously considered. Either we change our minds or hone our discourse.

For me, that includes yours, Arne... whatever the head-butting we've done.

I would not visit Free Republic at all if it wasn't for the opinions that the Libertarians offer up. It would be extremely boring (like ldot!) with nothing but rah-rah "I agree" comments.

wrt to your remarks about the Avocado person: I agree.
