Rule of thumb: People who are satisfied don't waste time on betas, no matter the product. So opinions on betas are usually skewed to the dissatisfied who want change.

But the Beta was not just there to entertain John, it was a preview of what was to come. If everyone chose to ignore it until today, I don't exactly feel sorry for them.
