regarding the bruderhoffs--i am trying to find some info on them- are they really a cult? they just opened one of their communes here--i will absolutely puke if they start publically supporting the palistinians
Well as far as i am concerned they are a cult. I run a couple of stories about their antics a few times each year here at a radio station in Pittsburgh. Usually about this time of year ( now that I think of it most likely it's around May Day) they get their kids to march to the state prisoner with flowers for those on death row.

BTW I think Bruderhof is usually spelled with one "f" but I've always used two.
I tend to think of them as mildly militant and totally misguided Amish.
