Well then, let me rephrase my opinion: It was a silly, obvious, lame, stupid column spun from a simple phrase. The author was on deadline, brainlocked and desparate for a column topic and picked up on "they're coming", tenuously linking it to "let's roll". He knew this would appeal to the Eternal Weepers out there in Memorial Land, not worrying about the reaction of people who actually have a brain in their skull.
He then stretched it out, in a very boring manner, as far as he possibly could, maxing out his revenue on a cents-per-word basis.
