My longtime mentor, Donald Rumsfeld, is fond of saying: When a particular problem is intractable, enlarge it.

Granted, that sounds funny, but it may also be profound. Let's apply it now to the Israel-Palestinian war, which has clearly become intractable.

Enlarging the problem, here at least, is the only way to solve this otherwise intractable tangle.

The problem is already enlarged; the solutions, unfortunately, aren't. Thus the intractable tangle -- of jibberish.

trying to drag the U.S. even further into a quagmire</i.

I'm with you. The US should stand back and do nothing.

Now you tell that to the crying Arabs, EU, UN, et al.

The Middle East problem -- Two Gods, 'profits', and NO Savior, IMHO.

6,000 years of 'quid pro quo' - 'Peace, Peace!!! they cry, yet there is no peace.'

There can be no peace without faith and obedience to a 'Prince of Peace'. Jesus Christ is my 'Prince of Peace'.

How many 'suitcase nukes' in the hands of 'suicide/homocide bombers' does it take to eliminate a land mass the size of Connecticut?

The problem lies in the hearts and heads of some men of ALL races, colors, and creeds, IMHO.

Anyone who does not place a high value on their own life or the lives of others is a 'risk' to any civilized society.

So, how would you deal with the 'uncivilized', to whom civilized behavior means 'squat'.

Sorry, Connecticut, Israel is the size of New Jersey. Here is the demographic information on Israel and the Palestinian Terriories--

Israel and the Palestinian Territories

Population today runs about 2:1 Israelis 6 million to 3 million. But, in the Palestinian territories

"..., Arabs will become a clear majority within twenty years. In 2020, the region will be home to about 6.4 million Jews and 8.5 million Arabs. By 2050, the Palestinian Territories are projected to have approximately 11.2 million individuals, compared with Israel’s 10.6 million."

The 'Population Bomb'???

You should really change your handle to luvswarmtea. The government might sue you for scalding people with your "hot" news. Are you affiliated with McDonald's or something? Maybe a relative of Ronald's. Do clowns run in your family? I just wondered because this is a very funny post. Thanks for the laugh.
