"Because this is so important,I am going to try again. Can either of you tell me,or anyone from the church tell me,what objective criteria will be used to rid the church of homosexual priests?"

I don't know, but if it were up to me, it would be one strike and you are out with no parole.

Perhaps you are correct, to paraphrase Bartleby.

After all, Christ did say if you look at a woman with lust in your heart....maybe the same thing applies to a man, or to a child.

But don't you think there is SOME difference between thinking about doing something and actually doing it?

Both secular and church law take that into consideration, at the very least.

I don't there's a person in existence who wouldn't admit to at least occasionally having "bad" or "sinful" thoughts if he or she was honest.

I'm not saying everyone is a homosexual, just that we're all sinners. That's what the poster who spoke of "digging too deeply" meant.

There is definitely a difference between thoughts and action.

If you are saying we all have impure thoughts, then I would agree. If you are saying we all have impure homo thoughts, I disagree. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please review previous post

"I'm not saying everyone is a homosexual,"

In other words, I'm not saying everyone has homosexual thoughts or desires...I'm saying everyone is a sinner.

That goes without saying.
