When Ashley, I can't remember her last name, just read an e-mail from a viewer that said she clearly gave away the locations of Israeli soldiers in Ramallah, she said: "blah, blah, blah, we didn't say on the air where they were (as if the PLO and Hamas can't tell by watching it on tv), and then she said AND ANYWAY, we don't broadcast in Ramallah."
This woman is either an idiot, or she's evil, or both.

But even in tranquil Vienna, where the U.S. Embassy closed briefly last month and a man was detained on suspicion of plotting an attack, many of the city's 7,000 American expatriates confess they're on guard.
With good reason: In many parts of the world, it's dangerous to be an American abroad. Around the globe, jittery U.S. expatriates and other Westerners are taking extra precautions and rethinking their routines amid a growing realization that security is just an illusion.
"I'd never put an American flag T-shirt on my son and send him downtown. He might as well have a target on his back," said Kathy Iovieno, a Massachusetts native and married mother of two in Vienna. "Sometimes we even tell the kids to speak German rather than English on the streets so they're not so obviously American."...

I can't stand watching her because she is constantly saying, "as well". After a while it just grates on my nerves. For crying out loud, she should come up with another phrase, or another word. Too, also, or just leave it blank!

Then after her interview with Annon Dankner she said,
And I just wanted to let you know that we have night vision scopes on one of our cameras here, and just a short time ago we witnessed a couple of--a pair of ATCs (at this point the camera pans in on the tanks!) rolling past our position without lights on them. They rolled past our position here and at about maybe 2.5 to 3.5 minutes later we heard quite a rapid volley of gunfire. We were unable to discern exactly where that was coming from, but we're hearing now a tank shell going off behind us as well, again, hard to tell exactly where that's coming from, but it's not Arafat's compound which is this way (she points "this way") and it's not the Preventative Security Offices which are that way (she points "that way")

Laurie Dhue of course, Patty Ann Brown (? Fox), and Campbell Brown on NBC. Edie whats her name on Fox does nothing for me although the blonde thats on before her and I think on weekends is hot. Christianne Amanpour is really some guy in drag. Ann Coulter makes me puke.
Outside of news and politics, I like that blonde that stars in the new Fox show, the American Embessy.

Ashley: I watched your interview with Raanan Gissin last evening. He asked you: if there were a US military action and the press had been ordered out of the war zone, would you disobey that order and continue to report from the area? Your response was that NBC policy is not to report information that might give away a position to endanger people's lives. Then about twenty minutes later in the broadcast from your well described location in Ramallah, you spotted and precisely described the position of four Israeli tanks that drove up the street and the Israeli troops who entered the building accross from your position. Please explain this contradiction.
David, very good observation except for one thing; the well described location. We have kept our location secret for that very reason and also to maintain our own security. No one knows where we're broadcasting from except for the Israeli Defense Forces who we figure have a make on us because of their extremely solid intelligence, but we have never once said where in this city we are broadcasting from.
One street looks like another at the best of times. We are very careful not to do that and also for our own safety we are trying to keep that quiet as well. The other thing is, David, we don't broadcast here so there's nobody in Ramallah who could possibly watch my broadcast and get that information.
(HA! Even if that were true, Hillary, Mohammar, Fidel, and Joan Brown Campbell, probably ran so fast to the phone they all got whiplash.)
