No way, dude. That dawg won't hunt. The pols won't let that one fly. The proliferation bogeyman again. In fact, its the other way around. For some materials, the Rats in Congress were pressuring the people at DOE and State to have those countries to whom we supplied research reactor fuel send it back here after they burned it. Some geeks put the bug up their @$$ about international traffic in HEU, you see. There's a whole gang of geeks and wackos at organizations like the Kookuler Control Institute and the Committee to Blow the Bridge that exist for no other purpose in life than to hassle users of research-grade SNM. So they put the screws to the foreign users of the stuff to ship it back here to Savannah River for the DOE to reprocess. Then after it got here the lousy crumbums got the reprocessing line at Savannah River shut down because they said it was environmentally unsound. So the materials sit in holding basins, awaiting their fate. It was all just a waste of time and money. I hate those geeks...
