The voice of reason, of decency, of moderation and sanity. No wonder this historic speech was not reported or commented on by any of the major media. I searched the web and couldn't find any reference to it. If I hadn't been listening to exerpts of it on Rush, I would have never heard about it. And yet, this could be one of the most historic speeches of our time. Yet, all but ignored by the world. Truly, Netanyahu is like a voice crying out in the wilderness. Meanwhile, our government has sent Colon Powell on the APPEASEMENT OF TERRORISTS WORLD TOUR and is spouting worn-out phrases about "peace in our time" and "land for peace."Just thought y'all would like a copy of this speech for your archives.

Rush has some audio clips here---
Rush Limbaugh.com
I'm sure C-SPAN2 has the whole thing, but I don't know about rebroadcast or 'audio' access on the web.

Netanyahu's speech was brilliant but was not blacked-out on CNN. I unfortunately had to watch on the only cable news station I have.

I checked our local paper, the Asbury Park Press, and found it covered...barely. Page five, about a sixteenth of a page. The senatorial comment with it was from Joe LIEberman.

Question: Why is it suddenly politically correct to hate Jews? Huh?
To: ppaul
Benjamin Netanyahu was deposed by the people of Israel for meeting with the same Arafat and promoting Oslo Lite. It appears he got their message. I am one who does believe in second chances and it is refreshing when someone sees the error of their ways. It is all the more important to remove Arafat from power and establish a security cordon to protect Israel from the threat of reactivated terrorism in the future. Netanyahu is absolutely correct about one issue: no political process and no peace will be possible in the Middle East as long as Arafat and the regime he heads remain around to wreak more havoc. To quote from President Bush himself, "enough is enough." We must deal with all terrorists everywhere according to the same basic principle: they must be consigned to absolute, total, and utter destruction. There must be no compromise with them and their ilk. They must not be accorded legitimacy or be rewarded for their violence. The time to stop them is now.

Watched the network news broadcasts.
No mention of it on CBS, NBC, or ABC.

They must not be accorded legitimacy.....Agreed 100 percent.
Nevertheless, Colon Powell accords Arafat legitimacy by meeting with him.
We still haven't learned.

I'd like to also give you an attaboy, but unfortunatly I'm only authorized by the American Society of Steves to hand out one a day.
I know how disappointed you must be but hang in there and who knows...maybe someday.
