On a more basic level, people dislike(d) Clinton for the same reason that dogs, knowing nothing, instinctively bark at a snake until somebody either gets bitten, killed or disappears, usually the snake. Human beings, mammals that they are, sense a wrong thing in other humans. They may not be able to describe it intellectually, as Brock suggests. They may not be able to label it academically, as Begala does. But they "know" when something or someone "just ain't right." Clinton had that effect on lots of people.

"Freudian projection." ???
These idiots know nothing about Freud. Instead of pretending to be psychiatrists, they need to see psychiatrists.

Well, I hate Billy Blythe clinton for who he is and what he did to our country. And I certainly don't give a crap what his corrupt, fellow-traveler apologists think of me for hating him.

Yah, It's couldn't possibly have anything to do with Clinton lying, raping, draft dodging, cutting us Military off at the knee capps, Putting this Nation's security in jeopardy, lying in court, etc etc.
Because hating someone so morally bankrupt is just to impossible to understand!
To: Hunble
"They may not be able to describe it intellectually" I will repeat this for the rest of my life.
I hate Clinton because, form day one: he told my children that I lied when I taught them that character was everything, he told my neighbor that I wanted to starve their child, he told my grandparents that I wanted to throw them into the street, burn churches, lynch blacks, rape rainforests(jungles?!!), etc...
And, Clinton succeeded. He effectively portrayed me as a most vile monster. There are numerous sheeple out there who literally hate my guts.
Thinking 'intellectually', is it really difficult to understand?

Both Paul Begala, former Clinton adviser and now one-fourth of CNN's Crossfire, and David Brock, journalist and erstwhile right-wing conspirator, have used the same language -- psychological projection -- to describe Clinton's opponents. This very much fits within the model most embraced by Begala, Carville, et. al.
The Soviet Union classified its opponents as insane. If you disagreed, you were crazy.
Its just taking the old "Nuts and sluts" defense to a global level.
To: Hunble
Brock: "Clinton-hating is a complex phenomenon, more an
emotional aversion than an intellectual one."Brock, we don't hate Clinton. He isn't worth the
time and energy it would take to hate him.

I've never seen it put in those terms...well stated!

"I believe these people hate themselves. I believe they hate our country. I believe they hate our culture." PUH-LEEZE! Who is part of the hate America crowd that is putting forth hate speech and hate protests in the media and universtities? That would be Begala's friends on the left. Their hatred for America is so great, they have literally supported the modern day equivalent of the Nazi Party and Himmler's SS.

What you wrote captures my feelings exactly.
I am sick and tired of people hating me, because I was wise enough to see a snake and barked.

"Clinton-hating is a psychological phenomenon: They see in the Clintons the very qualities that they hate in themselves." There is something extremely sublime happening when a homosexual casts aspersions using Freud as his weapon...

This load of bunk reminds me of a piece of advice my old 1SG once gave me. "When you're busted and they've got you dead to rights, the only thing you can do is deny everything, demand proof, and make counter accusations!"

Perfectly well said.

The 'nuts & sluts' phrase brought to mind the old Commander cody song (lament) "Down to Seeds & Stems Again). Maybe dough from upland could work out the Lyrics to this old tune. I'd like to hears CarVILE and the Bug singing: We've lost the White House and we're down to Nuts & Sluts again to

"..I think this is self-hatred projected on an innocent man.."Somehow....I don't picture the word "innocent" associated with Bill Clinton.

I think this is self-hatred projected on an innocent man. If Bill Clinton is an innocent man, then I'm the Czar of all the Russias.
