How do I hate thee?
Let me count the ways.
You were a new democrat, once, or were you?
Your wife seemed supportive and smart.
You had a nice smile and a strong jaw.
You weren't too scary then.
You had no chance yet you still took it...and won.
Then you changed, or did you?
You turned about and spun leftward and seemed not to care,
or even aware, that you had lied to us all.
The Gays in the army and the nags in the cabinet,
All came out of your closet and put the lie to your shine.
You spun and spun and still you smiled and bit your lip.
If only yours alone were gnawed we might have refrained from hatred.
But you seduced every old mule's favorites and left us spurned and bleeding in the hotel bar.
How could we not hate you.
You want it this way....don't you?
