April 13, 2002 -- WASHINGTON - New York officials yesterday demanded the feds freeze the U.S. accounts of Saudi King Fahd after he contributed to a telethon for Palestinian "martyrs" while the uproar grew over Saudi blood money to homicide bombers.

Like the Israeli victims?

I am so fed up with those commie/pinko dems. We're at war! They'll do anything to sink our President, even if it means harming our country.

The Saudis are the silent backers of the terrorism. Thye created the Madrassas that were the breading ground of the Taleban and Pakistani extremists fighting India. The Saudis finacned Al Qaida, and they are financing Arafat. They sit in their palace and move pawns around. GW has been a dissapointment in his support of those jerks.

Yeah, sure. The terrorists get 72 virgins. The money is used to encourage the families of the terrorists

You mean by criticizing Saudi Arabia? That's the best thing Bush could hope for. With increased US pressure on the Saudis ostensibly from the Democrats, he doesn't have to concede as much to them.

Wrong! The Saudis are the very vehement backers of terrorism. They just call it by other names: freedom fighting, national liberation movement, jihad etc.

Meanwhile, in the Sudan...

A placard in Khartoum, Sudan, Monday April 8, 2002, shows Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon as a blood-sucking vampire during an anti-Israeli demonstration. Billed as a million-man march, the crowd of at least 700,000 assembled in Khartoum's Martyrs' Square and walked a mile to the United Nations offices, where a delegation handed in a memorandum addressed to U. N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan. (AP Photo/Abdel Raouf )

How exactly does criticising the Saudis, reflect negatively on Bush? I would also ask, where were the Republicans?

Yes, we are at war, and isn't it about time we admit that the Saudis are part of the problem?

I'll tell you what this could do....it could rattle the Saudi's who have extensive assets in this country, to re-think their investment strategy. If their assets face threats like this, of being seized, they'd be idiots to leave them in this country. I suspect their sudden withdrawal from the US economy would be significant.

So here is proof that our "good friends" the Saudis are paying for the suicide bombers! 56 million sure buys a lot of terrorism! While innocent people are blown to bits our government will continue to bury its head in the sand and proclaim islam a religion of peace and Saudi Arabia our friend and ally! The Saudi's will also glady pay for suicide bombers and "martyrs" in the USA as well. Just wait...

The Bush administration is far too savvy not to realize the Saudis true intent, we want them as allies now to destroy Saddam. That is all. After we attain the key strategic goals of the US, then we'll move against that blatent support of terrorism and be in a better position to help defend Israel. The Muslim nations want blood, first Israel and then the US.

Just read on the Rush Limbaugh site that there has been a mis-translation in the koran...it actually says:

...those who die a martyr's death will receive 72 (white) raisins...

Wonder what all the suicide types will think about that when they get to paradise...LOL

King Fahd, Crown Prince Abdullah, Defense Minister Sultan and controversial billionaire Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, whose $10 million check to the Sept. 11 relief fund in New York was rejected by then-Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, were among the major contributors to an 11-hour telethon on Saudi TV that raised $56.7 million to support the Palestinian intifada.

After the Clinton administration the Saudi's thought everything was for sale if the price was right. Guess it's time to saddle up and visit the embassy and chanceries to let them know how we feel.

The only reason these goat herds are princes is beacuse the Brits called them princes during WWI to get them to fight the Turks.

This ignores a basic fact.

Money is a fungible.

They just call it by other names: freedom fighting, national liberation movement, jihad etc. They have learned very well at Harvard, Oxford, Berkeley, et. al. how to hate America!!!!! Many of the Saudi Royals have attended the most elite universities.

Yep - and the White House knows it too. I'm sure the Saudis are on the list to be nailed at a time and place most advantageous to the United States.

Yes, we are at war, and isn't it about time we admit that the Saudis are part of the problem?

It's way past time we did this. Poor Bush, and the rest of them, do they not see that very soon we will be in a 'War of Civilizations'? Even if they don't see it, the Muslims don't miss it. Like it or not, it's going to be us, the West, the Judeo-Christian West (hah! new meaning to that word, eh?) against the murderous Muslims. Of Sudan, of Suadi Arabia, of Palestine. The sooner we start, the sooner we finish. All Muslims in this country must choose sides, this is going to get extremely ugly, no matter who pretends what to the otherwise.

There is no good faith dealing with people who are liars, who believe lies, and who care not a whit for their own children.

When we take over Saudi Arabia gasoline will be 10 cents a gallon! And there will be no Hallal grocers in Washington State!

We're at war! They'll do anything to sink our President, even if it means harming our country.

The it's time Bush starts acting like we're at war.

In his speech, he said that countries that support terrorists are our enemies. Saudi Arabia supports terrorists. If Bush wants any credibility at all, he needs to treat them as our enemy.

But Bush doesn't do that. He backs the terrorist PLO against Israel because the Saudi's tell him to.

Most of the terrorists involved in 9-11 were Saudis. Bin Laden is Saudi. Saudi Arabia pours hundreds of millions into support for terrorists organizations. Saudi Arabia teaches its children that they have a duty to hate the US and Israel. Saudi Arabia is our enemy.

It's time George Bush decided if we are going to really fight international terrorism or just do things to boost his standings in the polls.

The firestorm has put the Bush administration on the defensive at a critical time. "According to . . . assurances we have received from the Saudi government, the money is raised to help with the broader humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people," said Fleischer.

Yes, but don't lie to yourself or the American people. We all know what's going down.

The Saudis claim on their embassy's Web site that the fund, known as the Saudi Committee for the Support of Al-Quds Intifada, will not only help rebuild roads and schools in Palestinian areas but also will donate $5,333 to "each family that has suffered from martyrdom."

Right. So these walking bombs can kill people while knowing their families will be looked after.

Israel should have a policy of arresting the family of every walking bomb and putting them on a pork and beans diet. Make it clear that their actions will cause great misfortune to fall on their families. I suspect it would be much harder for the Palestinian leaders to convince the walking bombs to inflict that type of hardship on their families.

Not ALL Saudis. There are two factions in Saudi Arabia right now, and if we're not careful, the wrong faction will win out. Keep quiet, and watch. What you're going to see in the next couple of months will be amazing.
