I guess they haven't made up their mind as to whether or not to become Am. citizens. Probably waiting to see what will happen in the Mid-East. In the meantime, he will be staying here in Georgia.

Until his visa runs out? Then what? Not to be disrespectful, but when it comes to neighbors like that, I'd be a little wary and suspicious. For example, a few years ago I was sharing a house with a fellow roommate who was from Beijing. He was here on a visa and was planning on teaching Chemistry here. I remember asking him about the Tianamenen Square incident on June of 1989 and he stated that nobody died at all and that the Chinese journalist writing about that story didn't know what they were talking about. Of course he was trying to get information from everybody living in the house but I never participated. I suspected he was a spy all along. I don't think he liked me at all.
