Additionally, keep in mind that Newt Gingrich took over the Speakership of the House in Jan 1995 with Contract with America. They promised to pass all 10 provisions within 100 days and they did it! They were rocking and rolling and Clintonism was in a shambles. Then OKC happened. 04-19-95 was just after the 100 days. It completely turned America against the rightwing. Newt never regained his stride after that.No doubt, OKC was the PR miracle Hill-Bill's needed to save their political lives, they were going down.
