if it were my child I would take her out of that school if I could

That's ok, as long as you don't abandon the public schools. (I'm not accusing you OK!,) Too many Christians are thrilled to ignore the problems/needs of others. They won't tolerate this activist child abuse with their kids, but won't lift a finger to help protect their neighbor's kid. There is no excuse for that activity. It can be stopped if Christians love their neighbors enough to vote and run in school board elections, and give money to support lawsuits to protect their own childrens rights.

I think that I'll put my money where my mouth is, and send a check to a legal rights group today.

People are responsible for their own children before they are responsible for anyone else's children. If your children are going to suffer from being in any situation, be it school or anywhere, you should take him out. The schools don't want the "help" that you are suggesting we give, anyways. That's why they are leaving the schools in the first place.

Now, I homeschool my children, but I have worked on campaigns to get good conservatives elected to school boards. Perhaps that is what you're talking about doing. But, keeping your child in that school to save the others is not the thing to do. You will probably end up saving no one and your child may end up damaged permanently.
