Anyone who thinks the War on Terror needn't go beyond Afghanistan's borders has a bit of explaining to do, given the horrific bomb attacks in the Philippines on Sunday.

One of the three bombs detonated in the predominantly Christian city of General Santos on the island of Mindanao had been left in a parked vehicle outside a crowded shopping center.
