Moods and impressions are not tools of cognition. Check out the population and economic stats on Mexico, check out the arrangements between Mexico and the USA on immigration, multiply it all by about ten to fifteen years, and the result is a coldly, soberly, rationally deduced serious cause for alarm. And that's something to get upset about.
No one here wants to shoot your family, by the way, in fact, they're more likely to take you and yours out to the range for instruction in the proper use and maintenance of firearms.

My neighbor- whose family has been here for four generations, has a sticker of Calvin (from the cartoon strip) on the back of his truck, urinating on "La Migra." Is he, too, a racist???

A lot of us lazy CAUCASIANS used to be willing to frame houses for $1.50 per linear foot.
But because illegals invaded during the 90's and were able to do work cheaper not because of efficiency, but because they DON"T HAVE to pay taxes, or workman's comp insurance, they have driven a lot of us lazy white people out of the business.

Oh man, here we go again. I get tired of telling this story, but evidently there are still so many people who believe the PC lie you expressed above, that I have to relate my own personal experiences with illegal scumbag aliens and the jobs they take.
Last year, I worked for a suburban DC telecom company that employed about 15-20 illegal scumbag aliens. I, and the other Americans (and even one Candaian who had come here legally) on the crew were getting anywhere from $18-25 an hour, while the scumbag illegals were getting $8-10 an hour on 1099s. I shared an apartment with one of them while on the road for a project in New York, and got very tired of him bragging about how he didn't pay taxes. He bragged that he, and the rest of his scumbag illegal Mexican and Central American aliens back in DC paid $400 each for fake documents. He was driving a beat-up POS pickup that looked like it was right off the streets of Nogales or TJ, and of course, had no insurance. While we were up there, he moved his girlfriend into his room in our apartment, and was talking about bringing up her two brothers, also, so they could get jobs locally, and they could have a good ol' illegal alien time all in one room! This was the straw that broke the camel's back, so I spoke up to the boss, got fired and called the INS. Any guesses as to how far that investigation's gotten?
Each one of those criminal scumbag illegal aliens was taking a highly skilled , well-paying job away from an American, because the damn scumbag criminals who owned and ran the company saw them as a way to increase their bottom line. I'm as big a capitalist pig as anyone else on this forum, but when you break the law in the name of bigger profits, you deserve to be rounded up along with all the other illegal scumbags, be stripped of your citizenship, and deported.
So, the moral of this long rant is that illegal aliens take all types of jobs away from Americans, not just room cleaning, table bussing and strawberry picking jobs. We are being invaded, and making excuses like "but they're such hard workers" just helps them weaken this country that much more. It's time we all get good and friggin' PI**ED OFF and end this insanity before it becomes a nail in our nation's coffin!!

My jobs...landscaper, gas line worker, house demolition, standing in ankle deep water pulling weeds at a nursery in Florida, roadwork, farmwork, restaurant work, and construction for the last 15 years.
During my construction career, I have fallen from 25 ft. once; fallen from 10 + ft. 3 times, had a 2x4 with 3 16 penny nails sticking out of it fall and stick itself in my left knee; had my left eye popped like a grape; was using a nail gun, nail hit a knot and come out the top of the wall right through my pointing finger.
My whole point being, please don't assume that being white means a life on easy street. And that we do sometimes work some labor intensive jobs.
Being in the construction industry, I have worked side by side with many immigrants, Hispanic or otherwise. I will agree that Mexicans are a proud, hardworking group
But why should one group get to circumvent the rules when others like Canadiens are made to follow the rules?
I don't hold the Mexican people soley responsible for the crush of immigration and it's related issues. I also hold responsible the fat, rich businessmen who are making bloated profits on the backs of these people by circumventing the same rules.

On Easter Sunday morning, 1994, I had to take a good friend to identify his wife's body. An illegal Mexican immigrant had gotten drunk, ran a red light, and killed my friends wife.
As with a lot of illegals here, he didn't have insurance.
At the hearing, the Mexican consulate appeared and stated that the Mexican government would take the perp back, and make him serve time there.
He was transported back to a Mexican jail, served 60 days, and was released.
Last year, I attended that dead lady's daughter's college graduation and wedding.
So I, like you, have a personal stake in this issue.

It's not just "some Mexican dude who didn't pay taxes", either. It's thousands who not only don't pay taxes, but who use services that are paid for by the taxes of all of us, even you. Now, if this doesn't bother you, maybe you'd like to volunteer to pay my share, too? To top it all off, they broke our nation's laws getting here! I know, from one of your earlier posts, that you have family considerations that shape your outlook on this issue. If your relations are here legally, speak English, work and pay taxes, are working toward becoming American citizens, and have a desire to improve their new nation as well as their own lot in life, then I welcome them with open arms, and will one day be proud to call them my countrymen. If not, they need to pack up and get out. Period. I don't have a problem with folks celebrating their heritage in their neighborhoods, their homes, their churches, etc., but if they're here, they need to be proud to be American, and accept our language and our way of life. Now, does this sound like I'm condemning an "entire race"?
Lastly, I'm not a sociologist, but I've heard that Hispanic is not a "race", but an ethnicity. I've been told that the only real "races" in the world are Caucasian, Negro, and Oriental, and that everyone on Earth either belongs to one of those groups, or is a derivative or combination of one. I know for a fact that Hispanics can be Negro, Caucasian, and even Oriental. Of course, I'm not a sociologist, either, so I could be completely wrong.

The United States of America is made of people who move here, to become Americans. Not mexican-Americans, not Yugoslavian-Americans, not cuban-Americans. Just Americans.
When I went to Eastern Europe, I didn't expect everyone to kowtow to me, or speak English to me... I had to work hard, to learn the languages.
When a person goes to a foreign country, that person is expected respect and obey the local laws, customs and courtesies of that country. If they want to become a citizen of that country, this is not just expected, but required.
Illegal aliens piss on our country, its' laws, its' customs, and everything else that makes the USA a great nation.
They expect us to learn Spanish (which people who real spanish say is like "ebonics" is to English), expect us to pay them social security, pay for their childrens' education, their health care, and so on...
If a person immigrates here legally, and becomes a citizen, then great.
If they come here illegally, I have no more sympathy for them, then Mexico does for illegal immigrants coming in from Guatemala and Belize...
