Firebombing and nuking of Japanese cities was terror, pure and simple. Hundreds of thousands of German women and children were killed by Allied bombers.

[The year 1933, then, marks the beginning of the Nazi period in German history, an era characterized by domestic oppression, anti-Semitism and terror, coupled with the increasingly vociferous demand on the part of Hitler's government for the alteration or removal of the restrictions placed on Germany under the terms of the peace treaty that ended World War One -- the Treaty of Versailles.

For the next six years, the Nazis insistence on the revision of the Treaty of Versailles would result in a steady increase in international tensions that was regarded with increasing alarm in Washington.

Ultimately, all efforts to settle German grievances by peaceful means, such as British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain's controversial policy of "appeasement" failed, and on September 1, 1939, the Nazi's initiated World War Two by launching a massive attack on Poland.

It would take another two years, however, before the United States would find itself in a formal state of war with Germany. In the interim, U.S.-German relations grew steadily worse as the Roosevelt Administration offered growing material and naval support to the British war effort and U.S. suspicions about Nazi subversive activities in the Western Hemisphere increased. ] ~ http://www.fdrlibrary.marist.edu/german.html

It wasn’t “terrorism” on the part of the Americans and the Allies it was a fight for survival. If we didn’t win, and we almost didn’t, you and Europe would now be living a Nazi Fascist political system. Although that may be your preference, as your sympathies obviously lie with the Palestinians who have been given billions of dollars with which to develop their own democratic state yet have not achieved any success, by their own assessment, in any area of their culture but in terrorism. Much of those billions have been collected from American taxpayers and have ended up in Arafat's various Swiss bank accounts.

As Neville Chamberlain's "appeasement" failed: [One must understand that agreements made with the Palestinians are worthless and that the world is making a grave mistake in attempting to force Israel into signing a peace agreement with an entity that has no intention of making peace. After Israel offered the Palestinians 98% of the West Bank, 100% of the Gaza Strip, over 50% of Jerusalem and territory inside of Israel proper, the Palestinians responded with a year and a half of terror. What exactly does the world community want Israel to do?

The ship, called the Karine A, is a freighter owned by the Palestinian Authority and was under the command of an officer of the Palestinian Naval Police. The saga began when the PA's main weapons buyer, Adel Moghrabi, and several other senior PA figures began to cultivate relationships with Iranians, through Hezbollah, in order to acquire large amounts of weapons from them. The Palestinian Authority spent nearly $15 million in order to acquire these weapons, while their people live in abject poverty.

The plight of the Palestinians was actually engineered by Arafat, who can simultaneously augment his weapons arsenal while ensuring an endless supply of willing, poor, and uneducated suicide bombers. Despite direct evidence of Arafat's personal corruption (his personal wealth is valued in the billions) and his displacement of funds from civil infrastructure to terrorist infrastructure, Europeans continue to pour hundreds of millions of dollars into the corrupt and deadly regime. They either ignore or are unmoved by daily evidence that Arafat is the prime mover in the terrorist offensive. Europe's support makes them accomplices to the terror.] ~ http://www.nationalreview.com/comment/comment-horowitz012202.shtml

Yasser Arafat’s rejection of the land-for-peace offer made by Ehud Barak at Camp David in the summer of 2000 demonstrated his complete lack of sincerity in seeking peace.

So far I have seen the terrorist under Arafat’s control do nothing but take and give nothing.  They promise peace with their mouths, and turn around and commit horrendous acts of terror.

Am I correct that you believe: A) It isn't "terror" if your cause is just? and B)Palestinians = Nazis?

Well, if it ain't terror if your cause is just, then how can you criticize the Palestinians? Unless, of course, the suicide bombers are all cynical criminals willing to die for Yassar's Swiss bank accounts. And if Palestinians are Nazi's then what does that make the Israelis, with their Master Race beliefs and militaristic culture?

Terror always has been and always will be a legitimate tool of warfare. You can't defeat an enemy until it understands it has been defeated, and the best - maybe only - way to do that is to terrorize it into submission. Young men are expendable in every culture. Battlefield deaths do not drive home the reality of defeat. Killing women, children and the old men (Alpha Males) does. The Palestinians are simply doing what they think they have to do to drive the Israelis completely out of the Middle East. And, I think they're going to succeed eventually. There is no "wishful thinking" on my part - just a cold, hard analysis of the facts. I have no dog in this fight.
