"A real man is one who rejects passivity, accepts responsibility, leads courageously, and expects the greater reward, God's reward."
Here is an example of someone who is doing something about a problem. Homosexuallity is a learned behavior. Education is feminized. Boys are not allowed to be boys.
A couple questions for you wise and noble freepers: What is a man? What else can we do to teach men how to be men? What do you think about what he has done in his community?

A worthy thread that is doomed for comment here at FR, since it's not about Anna Kournikova or teenage underwear.

Great post. I've had the same questions about what being a man really is. As a psychology student down here in Houston, i've begun to wonder about the long term effect that the feminization of man has done to our society. Traditional male roles no longer define what a man is, and a conceptual framework based on what the good reverend proposed (rejecting passivity, accepting responsibility, leading courageously, and expecting [God's] greater reward)would make for an incredible study. I think i'll save this idea for grad school :)
