Don't sweat it, you didn't miss much. The eight years I spent in grad school probably took twenty years out of my life. Being surrounded by so many leftist morons had me on edge and with high blood pressure all the time. I entered as a Marxist and left as a radical right winger.
At the very least it teaches you how to do research and write books.
It's a mutual admiration society whose only purpose is to promote ass kissers to become future tenured professors. Go along to get along is the general philosophy. Last I heard it's getting worse.
I was subjected to 4 years of those Marxist jackasses, and that was enough. I would listen to one lecture, then meet the professor at the end of class waiving my drop/add slip. After about 8 of these withdrawls, I was nicknamed "The Drop/Add Kid" ;-)
