the MMM prepares for a 2004 Mothersday Rally
Brady email alert | Jim Brady

Mark Your Calendars: Another Million Mom March is coming!

The Brady Campaign united with the Million Mom March is proud to announce the coming of the second major Million Mom March on Mothers' Day, May 9th, 2004 in Washington D.C.

This highly publicized effort is much needed to push sensible gun laws through the halls of Congress. Too many Americans continue to die or are injured because of the easy access to guns in this country.

Our goal is to make it clear to Congress that, while they don?t seem to care that 9 young people are dying each day from gunfire, we do! Sensible gun laws save lives! We want them to act!

Excited? We hope you are because we need your help! You are the powerful voices for change in your communities. And, to continue to be so, you must convince our elected officials that we are a powerful grassroots force.

That?s why we need you to get involved in your local chapter today! Become a part of an exciting grassroots movement that is making us more powerful than ever!

To find out more about how you can join your local Million Mom March chapter, go to http://www.millionmommarch.org/brochure/

Another way you can help is by joining our campaign to sign First Lady Laura Bush up as a member of the Million Mom March. As First Lady, Laura Bush is in a unique position to make her voice heard on issues close to her heart. We want the safety of America?s children to tug at her heartstrings. That?s why the Million Mom March is inviting her to become a member of the Million Mom March and work for sensible gun laws that will keep our children safe!

To urge Mrs. Bush to join in the fight, visit http://www.millionmommarch.org/whitehouse and send her an electronic invitation.

We?ll see you and Mrs. Bush at the Million Mom March in 2004!

Get the Facts!

It?s important to know the facts about the gun issue. For more information about assault weapons, licensing and registration, background checks, and much more, go to http://www.bradycampaign.org/facts/index.asp and learn about important issues affecting the gun violence prevention movement.

PASS IT ALONG! Please pass this message along to friends, family members, and colleagues so that they too can take a stand for sensible gun laws.

"Thumbs up to all of you for your generous support! Together, we will build a safer America." - Jim "The BEAR" Brady

So, if someone went to that URL and sent a pro-gun e-mail with facts like accidental drownings kill 4 to 5 hundred times more kids than accidental shootings...maybe we could discredit the Miniscule Moronic Mommies?

Ha! Ha! Ha! MMM actually thinks they are going to have a march! Note to MMM, a handful of people standing on a street corner yelling and screaming at passers by (which is what you are going to get) is not a march, it is a sad display of near insanity.

Million Mom March's suggested letter to Laura Bush:
http://www.millionmommarch.org/whitehouse/

Dear First Lady Laura Bush,

May we please speak Mom to Mom? Nine young people each day are dying from gun shot wounds in America. Every day! We know that you share in our commitment to improving the lives of children and teenagers in our beloved country. We are writing to invite you to join our effort to create an America free from gun violence, where all — particularly our young people — are safe at home, at school and in our communities.

The Million Mom March united with the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence is dedicated to working for sensible gun laws and safe kids. Our mission reflects the views of the overwhelming majority of Americans who want better gun laws, free from loopholes. We ask that you please lend your voice to this worthy cause. Here are a our primary goals:

The lives of our children are depending on our work. Your membership in the Million Mom March would send a clear message that the loss of nine young people every day, and nearly 30,000 Americans each year to gun violence must not be tolerated. If we are not a part of the solution in passing common-sense gun laws, then we are the problem!

Working together we can make a difference. It's the least we can do for our children.

May we count on your membership in the Million Mom March?

Sincerely,

I saw some of these Million Moron Mommies mixing in the crowd of anti-American misfits in DC on 20 April 2002.

Now is the time to start planning our response to their rally.

This couldn’t have anything to do with 2004 being an election year could it?

Nah, I am just getting old and cynical

Does anyone remember the mess they left on the Mall last time? If you don't, here are a few photos taken several days AFTER their anti-selfdefense, anti-American rally.

I hope they get a giant deposit just for the cleanup the Capitol Police and maintenence people will have to do after they leave.

If Sarah Brady sends out an e-mail and there is nobody there to read it, does it make a noise?

I can't think of anything that would do more to ensure that Shrub would be re-elected than a major gun-control campaign in 2004.

Let 'em go for it, says I.

Let 'em scream and shout, and rant and rave, and propose more and more outrageous laws in the two state legislatures that will still listen to 'em.

It can't do anything but help us.

FROM THE ARCHIVES:

MIDI - IF I ONLY HAD A BRAIN (click on site then scroll down on the left side to find the MIDI file)

They are silly….oh so very silly
Their march is dumber than most anything that we ever have seen

They are airheads…real, real airheads
They’ll be marching…marching, marching, marching
They are clueless, clueless, clueless
Yes, these ladies are a bunch of whackjobs
It is time we set the record straight

Off to Washington to pander…the NRA they’ll slander
They really are inane
They are marching like fools…they are Willy Clinton’s tools
Million Moms Without a Brain

The statistics show they’re lying…in pools more are dying
How stupid’s their campaign
They are marching like fools…they are Willy Clinton’s tools
Million Moms Without a Brain

They say guns are to blame…the argument’s so lame
While they’re marching if a mugger they should meet
They’ll wish that they were packin’ heat

They blame guns for all the trouble…it’s time to burst their bubble
And end their old refrain
They are marching like fools…they are Willy Clinton’s tools
Million Moms Without a Brain

La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
The time is right for Freeping and getting in these mommies’ face
They prove again conclusively that lefties are such a disgrace

How many this time? 12? 15?

In 2001, there were so many going to Lansing that that they had to cancel it. They couldn't handle a flank of SAS and MCRGO there.

Why 2004 though?...maybe because the ugly gun ban finally sunsets??????

Oh, we're killing NINE children a day now, are we? Last time it was THIRTEEN a day. I wonder what happened? Could it be because the study that gave us that "13 a day" figure has been proven a fraud?

And nine is still stretching it.

They are now saying "young people" not children. Since they included 19 year olds as children in their lies, it's a safe bet that 30 somethings are included in their "young people" lies.

Yep! They probably call Streisand "Young" as well.
"She's this really, really old lady who still wishes she was 45." -Stan Marsh (South Park) describing Streisand.
